She said when they stepped into the studio they looked at old material because she couldn't really manage to write anything new but from what I understand they were all newly recorded. There's no way the current versions of "Nightmare" and "Old wounds" were recorded 3 years ago before the second album since their music sounded nothing like that back then. Especially she said "Things are better" is the song that is the newest and it was written this last spring.
