I've only recently come across Caitlin but already she is one of my favourite singer/songwriters, Everything she does is magic. I am so glad that she has so many videos avallable because I could listen to her all day. And besides being a great musician she has such a sweet personality. Love you Caitlin - keep up the good work. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
What a great song and a great performance in an iconic Nashville club. Only been there once but you could feel the history. Caitlin has an amazing voice and writes a damn good song too. And who doesn't love a great pedal steel.
I wish you would come out here and sing this, Caitlin. We've been fans for years and I know we're not the only ones. You would love it here. ~ tom walker, cody, wy.
@@studdruppo as someone from wyoming, that comment made me laugh. I can handle the winters no problem, it's when summer rolls around and the temperatures start getting to like 85+ that I just hate so much.
That was fantastic. Caitlin Canty totally organic, beautiful and sings like an Angel with Woody Harrelson riding shotgun, armed with a pedal steel and boy can he play it. Wonderful.
Grew up with this type music.... it becomes part of you because it already was a part of you and that's why you are listening ... collaboration of Recording King and Gibson is pure history
Its always windy in Wyoming and not far from Ft Collins, Colorado where I'm from. Wonder if you ever sang Over the Rainbow composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg. sung by Judy Garland?
+yaisum That is the amazing Eric Heywood - played with The Pretenders, Ray LaMontagne, Son Volt, Tift Merritt, Jeffrey Foucault and too many others to mention here
+Tom Downing Did he indeed? Well he takes the instrument from lazy cliche for Hawaiian stereotype to sublime backing and lead. I'll look into him. cheers
It's a microphone made by danish company DPA, called D:vote. It's a quite directional condenser mic mainly for amplifying acoustic instruments and you can get it for pretty much every instrument. I own one, good stuff! Check out their site for more: www.dpamicrophones.com
Bryan McCarthy: It was made in the mid 1930's by Regal and sold by Montgomery Ward. Recording King was Ward's house brand, and Regal was just one of the manufacturers. Gibson also made a number of Recording Kings, notably the Carson Robison & Ray Whitley models.
Bryan McCarthy: You never know. I found a Recording King Carson Robison Jumbo in a local shop earlier this year. Rare model, as Gibson only made it for one year.
Bryan McCarthy: I don't play it much, so I don't mind parting with it. It's not like the guitar in this video. It's shaped like a J-185, and it's ladder braced. There are some examples of them on TH-cam.
Nothing beats a beautiful women’s voice, a little acoustic guitar and lapsteel. Straight to the core

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
And written by a guy from Boston. :) Look up Mark to hear more great music.
This woman is absolutely amazing.

As a resident of Wyoming this song surely resonates. There ain't no wind like a
Wyoming wind!
Been there myself. That bitter Wyoming wind snatches your breath away.
I don't know how anybody survives a winter in Wyoming. It's pretty in the summer but brutal in the winter.

@@studdruppo it chases away the people who don't belong in Wyoming.
@@dalejkemp I hope so. For people who desire isolation and beauty, I hope there will always be places in Wyoming that people can find that.
been all around the world- never seen nothin sweeter!!

I can feel the Wyoming Wind all the way in London while listening to this!
+James Hatton In Sweden too, man. Amazing stuff.

If this doesn't show up in an episode of Longmire then there's no justice in the world
ChesapeakeWahido yes!
The Bluegrass Situation is rolling out killer tunes at the moment. Cheers guys, amazing stuff.
+yaisum Thanks so much for watching!
Even if you've never lived in Wyoming-I have-Caitlin is mesmerizing in her introduction of the Wyoming Wind to you.
Caitlin you are amazing, loving your sound in England.
A big thanks from Canada. Real music! Brilliant.
She is very talented and easy on the eyes.
I was searching for this song and typed "the wyoming wind" into TH-cam's search field. Yielded some unexpected, but hilarious results. Would do again.
Absolutely amazing.
Caitlin is good, and OMG, that cryin' steel!
Its always windy in Wyoming and not far from Ft Collins, Colorado where I'm from. Wonder if you ever sang Over the Rainbow composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg. sung by Judy Garland?
Also Woody Harrelson is caressing some sweet tunes from the pedal steel there.

if you like it check out Bob Egan from Blue Rodeo
Cheers I will.
That dude's name is Eric Heywood and he was a member of the Pretender's at one time, and Morphine for another.
Great channel. Thanks guys!
Masterpiece
Man, do I dig this.
I've never been to Wyoming or Nebraska, don't believe in Cowboys but I love her voice.
Amazing young artist!
Beautuliful!
Love it!
Stunning!
My god, great song!
The Emmylou Harris of this era?
beautiful
exellent! magic music!
Rhyming "faster" with "Nebraska", and it totally works.
Brilliant!
❤️
shes amazing
She's amazing.
we agree!
She knows how to put a song across
I was born here and spend most of my life in Wyoming. Only thing I don't care for is the wind lol
Does anyone know the mic she has on the body of her guitar? Thanks.

That's a fat guitar with a decent neck size...anyone know what brand it is?
Bryan McCarthy: It was made in the mid 1930's by Regal and sold by Montgomery Ward. Recording King was Ward's house brand, and Regal was just one of the manufacturers. Gibson also made a number of Recording Kings, notably the Carson Robison & Ray Whitley models.
Thanks for that....they're hard to come by in Australia
Bryan McCarthy: You never know. I found a Recording King Carson Robison Jumbo in a local shop earlier this year. Rare model, as Gibson only made it for one year.
can you sell it to me?

Would you sing with me?
I wish nothing more than to return to Laramie
No, but it looks pretty cool. Would be a pain in the ass to road though I bet.
