Feeling really bad for Rita now. I had no clue her life was so terrible. Some of those guys sounded awful, not even counting her evil father. That being said, I was shocked that her ex husbands appeared in court to DEFEND her from charges of child neglect. Did not expect that at all.
TheJulianStephens I just mean that Orson cheated on her a bunch and, while things seemed to have ended up alright with the Prince, there was probably a bit of a legal struggle over custody, especially when their daughter was technically a royal. It surprised me they’d go the extra mile to protect her. They weren’t the messiest divorces, but still 🤷♀️
I thought the same thing but also this was back when women were quite literally thought of as only being caregivers and men being SOLELY the sperm donors when it comes to child care so I mean I wouldn’t think it too crazy to assume that they didn’t want the responsibility 🤷🏽♀️
Keren Dela Cruz Also a good point. I was just impressed by Aly in particular, because it seemed like he’d fought for some level of custody of his daughter before (even going so far as to try bribing Rita into raising her in his religion), and this trial could have been the perfect way for him to win back custody if he wanted to. The fact that he defended the mother of his child even though it probably went against his own interests is extremely noble of him. I actually just looked up a bit about their divorce and it got pretty nasty, so his good will to her later on was doubly impressive.
I've read that victims of domestic violence frequently suffer from undiagnosed CTE (the neurological condition boxers and football players get). If Rita was suffering mood swings and bouts of forgetfulness - she might not have had Alzheimers.
It's really good to hear that even after divorce both her ex husbands stood up for her in the court to say she was a good mother. That just doesn't happen often in divorce 😭

Well, from the way that First Ladies seem to get this odd ceremonial role as Nation’s Mother, it looks like that’s America’s answer to a Queen Consort
These women just as today are so strong and loving. What an amazing history lesson, I enjoy your narrative video's. Another great job!
Patrick Kennedy was born August 7th 1963, I was born August 7th 2003, 40 years after...woah...
That’s crazy!!
🤭
I was born August 7th 1977 :)
The Patrick you are thinking of was Ted Kennedy's son. John also had a son named Patrick who died very young.
GILDA!!!!
Thanks to Michael Jackson’s This Is It, I now know who that beauty in the black and white CGI video.
I wanted more..can’t wait for part 2😤💕
I need a 8 part Netflix series on the life of Rita Heyworth
Oh god they should make a movie about that rita haysworth. 😍🙁
That’s exactly what I think! Such an awful life yet she’s just as well known today as she was 80 years ago on her prime, she was so talented and beautiful.
Oh, god, poor Stephanie. I can't even imagine the guilt of walking away from that wreck. Weirdie, could you do a video on her, please?
I never would've thought of this topic, but it was super interesting! Thanks so much and keep up the good work, Lindsay!
Jackies iconic suit was American made by Chez Ninon. Chanel sent buttons etc to the US and she was given permission to have their patterns US made.
Loved this video, thank you for doing such a great job on the lives of these American women. I remember many of these women their marriages and deaths, when they happened, but I didn't know all the back story. Thank you.
Thank you for another great video Lindsay!
Wow I didn’t knew Rita was married with a prince before. Whoa
All these beautiful and amazing women getting cheated on and treated so badly my gosh
I was about to write that Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł was not a prince, but surprisingly Wikipedia says that he in fact had this title (which doesn't make any sense, since we didn't have monarchy at the time, but I guess they didn't care). Anyway, thanks for educating me! Great video, I didn't know about most of it :D
I love your channel so much! Thanks so much for posting such informative and fascinating videos! 😁
Super interesting and fun topic Lindsay!!! You always make the best of videos!! 🤩. Thank you!!!
Wow, I didn't know any of that about Rita Hayward. So sad. Was there any actress from that time period that didn't have a tragic lifestory filled with sexual exploitation & alcohol abuse or a childhood background that didn't contain abuse & neglect? Jeez...
I love your videos so much! Thank you for the amazing content!
I've been your avid Filipino viewer since you uploaded "Kings and Queens of England ..." sometime in 2017. Since then, I subscribed to your channel and love every videos you upload. I would like to request a video of the history of the British Line of Aristocracy. Thank you for all the amazing videos.
The palm beach pic reminds us that these people were and are just that, normal people.
This is the best one yet
Damn Kennedy curse!😑
i clicked so fast LMAO i love your videos 😖
Right!! Such great videos 💞
Wow, Rita's life is so sad. The Kennedy Onassis are just insane.
Wtf how can Hayworth be accused of neglecting her children if it was her awful mother-in-law that failed to look after them??
I don't think Americans are any more obsessed with royalty than any other country, and less so than some.
That was a great video and and and very interesting topic! Can't wait for part 2!
Great video and so many beautiful strong women I'd love you to do a video on the dollar princesses sometime
I know this might take up alotta your time and you don’t want to do it but. Can you please do a series about Queen Victoria’s Great-Grandchildren?
Good video but found the repeating lines of the anthem distracting.
I assume you left out Lisa Hallaby. QUEEN NOOR OF JORDAN bc she is a queen not a princess.
Her mother was American. She will be in the third video of the series.
@@marijanewernsman6134 outstanding! Can't wait , thank you
Is there a reason why Carole Radzivill won't be included in this series of videos? She was a real housewife of New York too,
WOW These women were extremely beautiful 😍😍😍
They all look like traditional princesses. Even into their mature years
Interesting documentary on some of our beautiful American ladies! TYFS and stay safe and healthy 🤗😷😷🤗
Onasis did not leave Jackie $150 million, she got $20 million as a settlement from Onasis daughter Christina.
I love, love, love your videos!!! Will you be doing anything on Princess Angela of Liechtenstein?
She is not American.
Can't wait to see you handle "The Woman who was Almost Queen" aka Wallis Simpson!
She was never to be Queen, she was divorced, married to someone else at the time her and Edward met and an American.....please.....horrible woman
I've always thought that Lee was the more interesting sister
Great video on the princesses I can wait for part 2 :)
