I am having to fix the gear box on my cutter this year for the second time, my back glass got busted in the tractor, had a hydraulic hose bust on the rake, had a J tube break off the rake, just yesterday I had a bull die unexpectedly and if we don’t get some rain soon I am going to have to start feeding hay that I am going to be short on because it is so dry this year…Farming is hard but I love it.

You guys need to go by the Army and Navy store and purchase a few Ammunition Cans, and weld yourself a shelf or something that can hold the ammo cans, and stick some Acme hand tools into it on each piece of equipment. The Ammo cans have a rubber seal and they will last for a really long time. I have had these ammo cans for over 4 decades and they still have a seal and keep everything I put into them dry. I use them mostly for ammo that I make and the gunpowder. Scott in southern Oregon

Blind Melon is a good band. No rain isn't so great though, been a problem this year. Fortunately many of our fields are low enough to grow something even if it is only canary grass.... Dad pastures right to the road. We live on gravel roads so the grader man doesn't care for that too much but Dad likes clean ditches. I was so interested in Storla Station so when I found they have a website I had to check it out. Lo and behold there's a picture of Brian on the store history page. What an incredible story of neighbors coming together. A true cooperative. Some day when I go to the corn palace in Mitchell, I'm going to find Storla Station. I have to support more than just a shirt but I will get one of those too.

We never liked doing it either. Always something happened. Oh my.

You all are like me, the best intentions in mind, however sometimes a guy has to question that decision. I could see all those things happening to me and my son when doing hay. Last year I thought I would jump in and bale some hay without powdering the roller, not the right decision. That cost me around $300 or so dollars, the netting wrapped around the roller and caused the sensors to miss align. Anyways, good luck with the rest of the ditch hay, as always I enjoyed watching. Cole , rather than cut the ditches could you not run a solar powered electric fence along the edge of the road a section at a time and let a few animals feed on it moving the fence every few days. Might be less expensive in the long run especially after the problems you have had. Great video as always 👍 much appreciated.

You have to do what ever it takes to feed your cattle sometimes not easy or cheap but the alternative is unthinkable

I think the next song of the day should be "Money Money Money" by Abba. Love how you guys just plug away at the projects.

Those ditches seem to be creating havoc with your equipment. You ought to create a flexible ditch rake. You're creative like that and seem to like building stuff

Cole your pay is self inflicted hard labor for the next 35-40 years. But you get to live a good life. I trade you jobs in a second. Another great video. I appreciate you.

    Good choice Brain.
I keep a fencing tool in every tractor I’ve got.
    Oh crap, not good.

Awesome video also at least you guy's can still laugh about it.. you need an old soft core bailer for them ditches or an older one with out an arm like that newer bailer has for next ditch season..
