Hearing Bocksa & Vegeta do the Good Cop-Bad Cop thing makes me imagine them in a police interrogation room, as Vegeta points the table light at Zarbon & Dodoria shouting “WHAT WERE YOU DOING ON THE NIGHT OF THE 12TH?!”.
I’m definitely enjoying Goku (Boxer) being more tactical and giving reasons for why he does thing the way is do. But I am definitely waiting more for of the Krill-dawg as a Saiyan.
Indeed. I like seeing a version of Goku that's thinking ahead and coming up with solutions that don't always involve punching things really, really hard. Though still able to when the moment calls for it. I feel like the inevitable showdown with Freeza will take some really interesting turns in this one,
I like how more minor characters are getting to do stuff, Piano ,Zarbon, Dadoria, I hope we get to see more of these guys, and I like how you've been adding more interesting GT elements to the story.
I love how Bocksa's upbringing has given a much needed tactical thought process to the whole matter. No he isn't 'super smart' like the rest of his family, but dude's thinking longer term than what's directly in front of his fist.
Honestly I am happy that you let Zarbon and dodoria alive. I am excited at the possibilities what they can bring to the team and story. Especially if they fuses together in the buu arc. Since you are clearly putting Vegeta together with Launch. I wouldn't mind if you pair Zarbon with Bulma. Honestly it be cool that Trunks would still be a alien human hybrid in that possible outcome. I also liked good cop bad cop the two saiyans used on Frezia underlings. It was quite enjoyable to listen. Thanks Masako for the hard work on making videos for everyone.
I too am now intrigued by the possible ships... and Bulma/Zarbon isn't really that peculiar considering they joked about it in Dragon Ball Z Abridged all those years ago. Launch/Vegeta sounds quite fun as well. :)
I do remember a Zarbon x Bulma happening on another great "what if Raditz turned good?" story, Break Through the Limit, and it worked great, so I imagine Masako could do wonders with it if the mood strikes. It is a bit early to tell.
Masako, my favorite part of your what ifs is how all the other characters get to do more. I really like the “Krillin being friends with other people” trope you seem to employ. I’ve really enjoyed this story so far. The (spoiler) at the end sounds REALLY troubling honestly
Bringing in GT lore, now? Hoo boy, this could get all kinds of complicated. On the other hand, Gohan/Longjohn getting to peacefully play with the Namekian kids sounds adorable, and Goku/Bokkusa being tactical and turning Zarbon and Dodoria is a definite treat.
I feel that, with the establishment of a Galactic Prison in this story, we may also get some Super elements on top of that, making this one of the most ambitious narratives yet. Especially since we're getting a completely original arc to replace the Android Saga.
One thing I do have to say. Your story telling, combined with the voice acting, makes it amazing to listen to, whilst imagining the world as you tell it.

Ah, it all becomes clear. This What If is an excuse to answer two other What Ifs at the same time: What if Zarbon Lived (and Got Together Bulma)? Plus What if Vegeta Got Together with Launch? This is in no way a complaint! I *love* the direction this What If is taking! :D. I mean, the seeds of Bulma X Zarbon were implanted in my brain by Team Four Star anyway, so I'm glad MasakoX is now exploring it in a What If. ;)
Imagine if Bocksa was the bad cop, and Vegeta being forced to be the good cop. Zarbon and Dodoria would have probably caved by the Saiyan Prince's trying to do a mocking imitation of Kakarot, and just looking creepy.
An tactical and calculating Bocksa plus The Tuffle arc getting fastracked into Z?! I didn't think I could love this story any more than I already did but I was clearly mistaken.
I'm an aspiring voice actor myself, but I MUST say when it comes to the original Dragonball Z characters and their dubbed voices Masako is VERY good at matching most of them. And it's incredibly impressive.
I'd really love to seek a what if where zarbon and dadoria survive namek, though if they did they'd probably still not have a happy ending considering that babidi would more than likely pick them up and use them to replace spoavich and yamu
Power limiting restraints…could those be used as a form of resistance training? They use weighted clothing, gravity training, and even train in an inhospitable environment within the hyperbolic time chamber. Restraints to limit their power during sparring could be beneficial.
Man Vegeta want to be mad, but he can't because Bocksa is right. Nice like the Good Cop Bad Cop thing here. Hm? 🤔 Vegeta and Launch I like it. 👍 Oh no Gebo and Dr. Myuu work together. 😨 Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

I'm SO GLAD someone finally came up with the idea of having Bulma mess with the scooters. I've always thought it would've been interesting & given her SOMETHING to do on Namek
so, not only have all the saiyans been spared, but Zarbon and Dodoria as well? is there a chance that almost all bad guys will turn good? also; wondering if the original trunks shows up in this time line; or another variation

Is it just me, or did boxer getting his potential unlocked also give a similar type of brain boost that bulma got in other story’s, not to the same degree of course, but with his intrest in micanics and stuff it might have unlocked new areas of potential for guru to unlock

Android saga has reached hard mode, especially given a god damn GT edition to mix with this chaotic aspect. Now I am wondering if they would be buu level or simply lower. Odds are lower due to a human capable of escaping some powerful mechs. Interesting on how different the android saga would be after the frieza saga.

Yeah, Piano is having a bad time. Speaking of Demon Spawn can I make a suggestion? It if for Piccolo and his growth. Please implement The Dark Namekians from Dragon Ball Online along with the Mutated Namekians aka Dark Vassals from King Piccolo and also Slug's Demon Clan in this story. Maybe Namek gets that clan of Namekians on their world and the rest of Namek grows in power because of Piccolo training them and putting them in their paces. Maybe at that point Namek will not be so vulnerable and have more warrior type of Namekians and have stronger protectors.
Either you stick with original and Vegeta have bed time sparring with Bulma, making him Bucksa's step bro in law? or avoiding this scenario and make Launch x Vegeta instead. Both could be interesting to learn.

I am having some crazy whip lash with this story. I love it, but it is so freaking odd hearing TFS Goku being smart outside of fighting.
