I'm really not ready to say goodbye to this show, or to these wonderful characters who have come to mean so much to me.
Thank you for all of the wonderful feedback on my last Sana video ("Smother" - • Smother (Sana Bakkoush... ), and on my recent collaboration with Bella/xLiesForALiar ("Two Men in Love" - • Two Men in Love (colla... ). It was really overwhelming, and I was so moved by it. I've had a very busy few weeks at uni so I haven't finished responding to everyone, but please know I cherish every piece of feedback so much.

Season 4 is my favorite one. Even the story is more deeper and emotional.
I struggled a lot while it was airing, because so many of Sana's scenes were so difficult to watch... but as a whole I really liked this season. I've had a lot of fun working with it through my videos.

this video captured her as she is, the song, the scenes, all combined perfectly to show the strenght and vulnerability beneath her badass mask. I thought I couldn't be more emotional about sana bakkoush but everytime i watch this video, i know i'm wrong.
she's very special to me and that's why it means so much that you see her like this

I miss Sana so much. She truly deserved to be seen. Thank you for making this video, it is always heart-wrenching to watch your videos, but that is only because you don't just focus on the good and lovey dovey. I love you for that though. Thank you for giving me back all the feels in 4:50 min that I lived through last spring.
ahhh briony! you know how excited i was for this video....okay, where to start.
i love how you began this video, with all the establishing shots and scenery....it made me think about how we always talk about previously occupied space in this show.
i'm so glad you used the 'he wants to be seen' quote. i've always felt like sana was really talking about herself in that scene. it's such a great foreshadowing moment for her own season.
and then the way you paired the "people like him, people who are a little different" part of the quote with !! THE BENCH !! and her and isak.....isak who has very much felt like a mirror for sana this season.
i love the 'peeking parallels' around 0:43 and the praying parallels at 1:00 (the way you timed them to the beats!) and then how you paralleled those moments with her prayers being interrupted by others (both physically and in her thoughts).
i love the repeated use of the same scene for the lyric "god don't leave me, i'll freeze" (0:26 & 1:42) and the way you used some of those lingering 'pensive' sana moments that have felt so important this season.
i really enjoy in general how all-encompassing this video feels for sana's season. instead of focusing on a certain aspect of it, it feels like the narrative sort of evolves from focusing on her struggle with isolation and that sense of 'otherness', to her relationship with yousef, to her relationship with the girls around 2:40 (the way you use the scene of sana walking into the room in all white always!! fucks me up!!!)
also your use of noora's article to highlight the conflicts in sana's season....and then paralleling that with isak's quote from the bench scene!!!! girl!!!!!!!
i was really looking forward to what you would do with the 'siren' at the end (i think it's my favorite part of the song) and i love the way you quite literally referenced the bus there, with the quote at 4:00 and the way the sirens sort of introduced the arrival of the girls in their van. and then them driving off together to the sound of those sirens wailing.
and then OFC the "you're a good person" at the end. so important!!!!!
i know you were a bit worried about the beginning of this video feeling too similar to smother but i can say, it definitely is not. they feel like two very different videos.
i will never get tired of your skam videos because they always evoke such a level of depth and attention to detail. thank you for doing sana's character justice once again.

You're trying to kill me with your Sana videos. This is such a phenomenal video, I don't even know where to begin. You seem to understand the significance of Sana's character and it shows with how you capture and depict her in your videos. I'm in awe of your talent and hope others can see her the way we do.

The opening establishing shots of all those empty spaces and then you 'filling' them with the story you tell is classic you and this fandom and i love it.
I love the cuts to black you always use, letting the voiceovers truly sink in and resonate even more, placing importance on them. Ofc your lyrical interpretation is always on point, theres no one else who FEELS songs and music more than you and it always shows in your videos tbh
The shots of her seeing Yousef and the lyrics 'god dont tempt me im weak' im not ok
"creator of my awful mind' and all the shots of her praying damn and then 'you crossed the line this time' with her being interrupted/distracted from her prayer, the one constant she has in her life
all the shots of her looking so lost and broken and alone at like 1:37 - 1:58 really cut me deep briony i did not ask for this, the way you just let those moments breathe and linger and make them truly hit hard good lord
the way you use cuts from her smiling at yousef/being with yousef to looking sad looking at him and noora no thanks
that voiceover and her just looking so ...angrily at noora was perfection, the way you lingered on her face and the anger and frustration and bitterness there. Then those cuts of her from behind, the way you showed us her perspective of things and how she can feel 'out of place' damn
oh god then that voiceover at 3:20- - 3:28 -with the clips juxtapositioning what the voicevoer is saying way to cut me deep B
I love that you used that build up in the song to build up all that loneliness and sadness she feels and at the climax, introduce the van and the girls back just bringing that joy back in spades damn son damn
Also love the use of the clip of the van rolling away with the siren and then ending it with that quote from isak "you're a good person" BECAUSE SHE NEEDS TO BE REMINDED SOMETIMES AND THAT HALF SMILE IN THE MIRROR AT THE END
anyway im a mess, your editing is literally flawless as always i cant find a single fault here and i love and hate you

I cannot agree more with Emma, you're seriously incredible when it comes to vidding this show and capturing its essence. From the song right to the scenes and little moments, you just know how to transmit Sana's pov and her struggles, and still use that uplifting moment with all the gang to fit the change of music. That was so good, literally the most cathartic moment I've seen ever since this season started and you used it so well! Loved it, Briony!!

I adore this song so much and you vidding it to sana is so perfect! You have such a unique style i love what you created and you captured the show so well with the long intense sequence of her in her room and then the juxtaposition with yousef entering her life and her friend and isaks quote 'as soon as you find hate, you start hating yourself' so intense and beautiful

"people like him. people who are a little different" and you showed isak. wow. i LOVE that part the most. as a muslim i thought it's impossible for us to be friends with lgbtq+ people since it's on the contrary to our religion's value but sana & isak taught me that that's not how i should see it. it should always be humanity above religion❤
