This sounds like it is Indian music being played by western artists on Indian and western instruments. I am not hearing anything western except for the tones of western instruments and a few non Indians on stage.

This sounds like it is Indian music being played by western artists on Indian and western instruments. I am not hearing anything western except for the tones of western instruments and a few non Indians on stage.
I kind of agree with you. These fusion experiments tend to end up being just that, somehow
I see a lot of changes with harmony. There's not much focus on harmony in classical indian music. It's more on melody and rhythm.
