I don't think Skizz understands that empty tables don't equal available tables. He seems to think that if the tables are empty that there shouldn't be a line. To be fair, I would be great if you had a visible counter to show how many tables are actually available.

I think here a few suggestion I want to make regarding the game-ending minecart chest: - You can make it so it adds one item (or any) and call it "day count" and it dispenses everytime a day is completed - You can also add paper (or custom-textured item) that tells you how you lose just in case it is not obvious for players, this could also be useful for debugging That way, players can just screenshot the minecart chest and they can save score that way, fully fleshed-out with day count and reason why their run ended which would be a really cool addition
I would love to see a single-player version. Same as the 2-player version except that all doors are open all the time. I wonder how good Pearl would do with that version.
I'm sure someone has suggested this already, but just in case, here's an upgrade idea: Worth the Wait. Each customer has some patience added. I don't know how easy the redstone would be.
REGEN UPGRADE SUGGESTION: If you choose to make that an upgrade... and if possible with the proximity to other games... place the regen beacon so the freezer is just outside the range of the beacon, maintaining the difficulty of the freezer (otherwise people could sit in there forever)
An idea. In the day start room, you could add lights for each fail condition. When the redstone fires because of wrong order, outside patience or what ever. If you can play a sound feels like you should be able to flick on a light as well so that when they come out after loosing it will be 100% clear why they failed.

I also think that for the fridge, I prefer it so whenever someone goes in to get meat, the snow still extends but it only extends for what was hit and they can still grab other meats. It more so means you will be juggling with two different type of meats that fills up inventory more than spamming for cod since other options are far too inconsistent. This allows player to still get meat but more in variety than more in quantity.
For customers outside, you could detect that patience is running low the same way you are currently detecting a loss. Remove one cobweb from the item's drop path, catch the items, see if the players would lose using the current logic and play a warning sound if they would. Then dispense the item through one more cobweb and do the same check after that to see if they actually lose.
Hey I don’t know if this is already on the to do list but have you thought about including hungry hermit mini games in the restaurant waiting room for people to practice eg freezer target practice or just little framing plots or maybe crafting a cookie etc. Almost like how your redstone shop is set out. Just a thought!
upgrade idea: call the plumber: use the phone instead of fixing the pipes yourself. the effect is that the phone works the way it does, but that also if theres a water emergency, the phone fixes that too. leaves a risk/reward to using it, which is cool, and kinda benefits both players
Suggestion: Accident book in the start area. If a player dies, they have to record their accident and re-lock up before returning to work. Players can also store funny accidents and run ending mistakes
Instead of blocking each of the targets when they're hit, can you make a counter, and once they're hit like 3 times, you block them until they open the freezer door? That would probably stop them from getting multiple, or it'd make the other player camp the door when they could be doing better things
2:00:18 If you do regenration you have to put the beacon far enough away that it doesn't cover the freezer, because otherwise you can stay in there forever. But you also have the effect still active for a while, after you go out of range, so not sure. In general I don't think it would balance great with the freezer.

Suggest putting barrels with filters in the farm to eliminate the vegetable despawn problem. Let them stock a limited number of each in the farm, even if it's just 6 (to cover the beetroot soup). Could be added as an upgrade.
1:02:20 The left wall was full, the right wall didn't have any, so Pearl and Ren had 10 total frames on day 7. But like pearl said they got the upgrade so that's 6 and then they got 3 from the days, so they only got 1 from calling.
lol tango saying he doesn't know what there is to do when playing the front kitchen because him and skizz fail on day 2/3 before you have to actually use the crafter for most of the orders ;)
Upgrade idea: "Free Samples" (name not final), Customers have more patience outside of the restaurant. Implementation: a persistent extra item is placed in the "customer enters" tally. In effect, this would make each customer have the patience of the person behind them (queue size 1 equals infinite patience). I can see this being abused when players understand how it affects the game, but I at present don't see it being more powerful than farm door even then.
If you're still having trouble identifying which crops are which you could give them assigned locations. Like alphabetically from left to right beetroot, carrot, potato. That way you always know which crop is in which plot and you can leave them planted.
Multiple people have had trouble knowing which crops to bonemeal, so I made a resource pack that color-codes the root-vegetable crops at all growth stages, and makes the mature crop extra tall so it's easier to tell when the crop is fully grown. It will be up on the HC subreddit once the mods approve the post (I'm glad they screen posts with download links in them, even if it means I have to wait to share the pack I made).
Suggest stopping the rats minecarts when the crafter is active and starting it again x seconds after it finishes. Alternatively, a bypass section or dedicated carts under that part of the floor could be switched.
You should make it so the hermits have to manually collect lava for the furnace upgrade, probably from a cauldron/ drip stone array that opens up in the farm area once the upgrade is activated
One upgrade idea we were discussing was “wireless phone”. An item that gets picked up by calibrated sculk sensor that can answer/call the phone from anywhere. (Custom goat horn?) They can keep it in their 10th hot bar slot at all times.
Trying to brainstorm ideas for the empty upgrade slot so I might just post these, I don't know how much redstone space there is so that isn't taken into consideration with these Employee Snacks "Take a snack break between days" Unlocks a barrel full of steak in the anti-room (A very common suggestion, kinda makes Fiery Furnace even worse since it removes the specialty of the furnace being for potatoes only) Same Day Delivery "Call the phone to instantly craft items" Using the phone instantly activates the crafter, crafting anything inside it (Thematically based around the idea that you're calling a truck to come in and give processed foods, has a risk reward of calling an extra customer but instantly activating the crafter to bypass the normal crafting time. Does become worse with Faster Crafting existing but maybe has some very powerful use cases? If the power of faster crafting was toned down a bit then maybe this could be a good one? Could also just suck because the long term downside of a customer vs the short term benefit of an instant craft doesn't sound that great? Unless it's to rid a current customer from the restaurant) Short-Circuit "Flooding causes wires to malfunction and doors to be forced open" While the flood occurs (NOT the flood warning, when the restaurant is actually flooded), the freezer door and barn door are locked open (This one is either really bad, interesting and balanced, or game ruiningly good. I understand that the flood and the freezer are two VERY crucial systems to making sure the players work together and communicate, but this upgrade is based on the idea of turning the flood into a risk-reward scenario. By letting the restaurant flood you gain very easy access to the freezer and the barn at the cost of maneuverability on the restaurant floor. The risk part of this entirely depends on how the water flows and if Pearl or Etho find a way to cheese the flood penalty. If the flood fails in making players move around slower then this upgrade just allows skilled players to ignore floods since they get insane benefits from doing so, if the flood does succeed in slowing down players then this could make players sometimes prevent floods and sometimes not depending on if they want the benefits or not. Alternatively having the freezer and barn door open isn't that good / isn't worth having a flood so the upgrade is just poopy. Would require testing :P ) Farm Goat "Feed the goat processed food to gain bonus points" A goat is revealed in the farm that players can throw processed items (cooked / crafted) and gain bonus points from (Would be less points than if they just served a customer) (Would require a lot of effort to add since it's a duplicate item handler. Also not sure where to put the goat, maybe next to the beehive and bin? This is the "Point farmer" (get it? farmer? barn?) upgrade, providing no benefit to winning a day but rewarding players who can output more food than there are customers with points. Maybe as an upside for non-point farmers the goat spits out dog treats when fed (Feeding as in, throwing an item into a hopper, I don't think Minecraft goats can actually eat anything). Why do this over using the phone? The phone has limited uses and has the downside of calling a customer in faster, this lets you feed another "customer" without the worry of losing because of it) Will add more upgrade ideas if I think of any :P
IF you want to, why not add the door button to open the fridge to reopen the target blocks in the freezer.... it would only allow 1 or 2 meats to be able to be collected before having to be released by the other employee

Maybe she says "sorry, kitchen's busy, call back never!" In early rounds and progresses to cussing out customers at later levels as the stress in the kitchen increases? Feed her seeds in early rounds to increase chances of item frames from outgoing phone calls? Plus, it's a natural distraction for Scar, who will never leave her cage without burbling how cute she is for 5+ seconds 😂

Scar is right, had the same cough problem and did mention it on DO2 vods. Was put onto omeprazol (spelling probably off) to stop reflux., tried my sons piriton one day see what it tasted like and hardly coughed after. Now I'm off the tablets and just use allergy meds if I get a cough, it stops the vicious cycle of cough causing mucus, mucus causing cough. Tango, you say it's something to do with sleep, I found it worse in the morning, think it's the mucus just sitting there in your throat as you aren't swallowing it. I would cough in the morning so much I couldn't leave the house till I'd chucked up.

@@vogelvrouw Not that I know how Java Minecraft works, but Tango could maybe clog the hoppers with one of every type of trash right after they're emptied. Then they wouldn't be able to pick up the emeralds.
@@vogelvrouw Maybe that's part of the game. You have to pick up the emeralds and place them in the tip jar for them to be added to your score, otherwise the rats will get to it first! I think they should drop if you serve a customer really fast, that way there's a trade-off for waiting to serve the last customer so you can prepare for the next day.
Hi tango I am trying to build HH in creative on bedrock edition and was wondering how to get all of the gameplay sounds. I have the music already but the other sounds are a bit harder to get. Are they all costom or just like stock sounds?
It just occurred to me that you could get into a bit of a rat loop if the mine carts go by just as you kill a silverfish and it drops a head in time for it to be picked up as trash.
Anyone else notice at 57 mins in when tango stood on the pressure plate to get the order from himself it did not give the order for that armour stand but instead gave the order for the impulses armour stand that was coming up?
That happens sometimes, yeah. He's said it's a side effect of how the datapack works (it's proximity based and when new customers are coming in they're momentarily closer) and he can't really prevent it without restructuring all of it

You should make it so the hermits have to manually collect lava for the furnace upgrade, probably from a cauldron/ drip stone array that opens up in the farm area once the upgrade is activated
One upgrade idea we were discussing was “wireless phone”.
An item that gets picked up by calibrated sculk sensor that can answer/call the phone from anywhere. (Custom goat horn?)

(Thematically based around the idea that you're calling a truck to come in and give processed foods, has a risk reward of calling an extra customer but instantly activating the crafter to bypass the normal crafting time. Does become worse with Faster Crafting existing but maybe has some very powerful use cases? If the power of faster crafting was toned down a bit then maybe this could be a good one? Could also just suck because the long term downside of a customer vs the short term benefit of an instant craft doesn't sound that great? Unless it's to rid a current customer from the restaurant)

"Flooding causes wires to malfunction and doors to be forced open"
While the flood occurs (NOT the flood warning, when the restaurant is actually flooded), the freezer door and barn door are locked open
(This one is either really bad, interesting and balanced, or game ruiningly good. I understand that the flood and the freezer are two VERY crucial systems to making sure the players work together and communicate, but this upgrade is based on the idea of turning the flood into a risk-reward scenario. By letting the restaurant flood you gain very easy access to the freezer and the barn at the cost of maneuverability on the restaurant floor. The risk part of this entirely depends on how the water flows and if Pearl or Etho find a way to cheese the flood penalty. If the flood fails in making players move around slower then this upgrade just allows skilled players to ignore floods since they get insane benefits from doing so, if the flood does succeed in slowing down players then this could make players sometimes prevent floods and sometimes not depending on if they want the benefits or not. Alternatively having the freezer and barn door open isn't that good / isn't worth having a flood so the upgrade is just poopy. Would require testing :P )
Farm Goat
"Feed the goat processed food to gain bonus points"
A goat is revealed in the farm that players can throw processed items (cooked / crafted) and gain bonus points from (Would be less points than if they just served a customer)
(Would require a lot of effort to add since it's a duplicate item handler. Also not sure where to put the goat, maybe next to the beehive and bin? This is the "Point farmer" (get it? farmer? barn?) upgrade, providing no benefit to winning a day but rewarding players who can output more food than there are customers with points. Maybe as an upside for non-point farmers the goat spits out dog treats when fed (Feeding as in, throwing an item into a hopper, I don't think Minecraft goats can actually eat anything). Why do this over using the phone? The phone has limited uses and has the downside of calling a customer in faster, this lets you feed another "customer" without the worry of losing because of it)
Will add more upgrade ideas if I think of any :P
The goat would also be a handy recycling bin if you accidentally crafted the wrong item or needed to get rid of a stack of something.
IF you want to, why not add the door button to open the fridge to reopen the target blocks in the freezer.... it would only allow 1 or 2 meats to be able to be collected before having to be released by the other employee

@TangoTekLp Pearl's "ring ring" sounds like Pearl the Parrot, who would make a hilarious answering service and kitchen mascot for when players fail to answer the phone. Maybe she says "sorry, kitchen's busy, call back never!" In early rounds and progresses to cussing out customers at later levels as the stress in the kitchen increases? Feed her seeds in early rounds to increase chances of item frames from outgoing phone calls? Plus, it's a natural distraction for Scar, who will never leave her cage without burbling how cute she is for 5+ seconds 😂

Scar is right, had the same cough problem and did mention it on DO2 vods. Was put onto omeprazol (spelling probably off) to stop reflux., tried my sons piriton one day see what it tasted like and hardly coughed after. Now I'm off the tablets and just use allergy meds if I get a cough, it stops the vicious cycle of cough causing mucus, mucus causing cough. Tango, you say it's something to do with sleep, I found it worse in the morning, think it's the mucus just sitting there in your throat as you aren't swallowing it. I would cough in the morning so much I couldn't leave the house till I'd chucked up.

But those would get picked up by the rats and seen as trash, causing rats to spawn
@@vogelvrouw Not that I know how Java Minecraft works, but Tango could maybe clog the hoppers with one of every type of trash right after they're emptied. Then they wouldn't be able to pick up the emeralds.
@@vogelvrouw Maybe that's part of the game. You have to pick up the emeralds and place them in the tip jar for them to be added to your score, otherwise the rats will get to it first! I think they should drop if you serve a customer really fast, that way there's a trade-off for waiting to serve the last customer so you can prepare for the next day.
Hi tango I am trying to build HH in creative on bedrock edition and was wondering how to get all of the gameplay sounds. I have the music already but the other sounds are a bit harder to get. Are they all costom or just like stock sounds?
It just occurred to me that you could get into a bit of a rat loop if the mine carts go by just as you kill a silverfish and it drops a head in time for it to be picked up as trash.

Anyone else notice at 57 mins in when tango stood on the pressure plate to get the order from himself it did not give the order for that armour stand but instead gave the order for the impulses armour stand that was coming up?
That happens sometimes, yeah. He's said it's a side effect of how the datapack works (it's proximity based and when new customers are coming in they're momentarily closer) and he can't really prevent it without restructuring all of it
