Glad you guys enjoyed the wagyu. I just wanted to mention that it's a myth that the Japanese cattle (wagyu) get massages or fed beer. Because there is less free roaming farmland available in Japan compared to other countries (such as the US), the farmers would sometimes massage the cattles' muscles in the wintertime to prevent them from cramping up as they were kept in doors. And also in the wintertime, farmers would feed a small amount of beer to the cattle to try to stimulate their appetite to get them to feed more. But wagyu are not regularly fed beer or massaged... the incredible marbling comes from hundreds of years of selective breeding and care.

Wagyu beef found outside of Japan such as American wagyu or Australian wagyu, are often cattle that are the result of cross-breeding with Japanese wagyu cattle. So while they are similar and technically bred from Japanese wagyu, they aren't exactly "pure" Japanese wagyu. The quality of these can be very good with high marbling (a trait inherited from Japanese wagyu) but they aren't quite to the same degree as true Japanese wagyu.

I was done when they went from slicing small pieces of the steak to literally picking it up and biting the whole steak! That shows us that the steak was truly amazing. I was surprised that they had some left to eat with the rest of the side dishes. 🤣🤣🤣

Guys I'm gonna tell you one thing, next time you buy the Wagyu season with salt first and put it on a wire rack and put in your fridge over night. It's called dry brine. It will make the steak even better

It's much cheaper here in Oklahoma. They brought the Waygu cows originally born in Japan to Oklahoma, they breed here and they raise them here so it cuts down the price. At least it's cheaper in Tulsa.
