Gotta love how close knit the underground scene was back then: Cover art by Luc Lamay (Gorguts). Logo by Mark Mastro (Rottrevore). Original logo concept by Renato Galina (Disembowlment).
I remember acquiring a copy of this tape in 94 I got it in a box of demos that my buddies dad was going to throw out. I saw the names in that box like Death, Immolation, Mortician, Vader and others. I snagged that box so fast. I’d later loose those tapes to a robbery. Still this brings back some awesome memories.
@@shaggyfromscoobydoo5519 Same opinion here. Incantation is probably my favorite DM band ever, along Autopsy. Immolation is very good too. As I'm not the biggest fan of BDM, Suffocation never appealed to me as much. I'd even say Internal Bleeding is better Suffocation.
@@mortuarykrematorium4650 yea ive never been a huge fan of brutal death metal, early cannibal corpse with chris barnes, early autopsy and gorguts are ok tho
@@טימותילורנס I''ve waited 3 years for this reply. Thanks for the info. I miss seeing Gorguts and Immolation live. I've met Immolation so many times. Always gracious dudes.
@@JasonMasque13 Right On! Immolation have always been one of my favorites, they're nice guys too, especially Ross. One thing that I will never forget about about Luc Lemay is handshake. If you can picture the standard "hand hug" style handshake, he would do that and then snap his fingers during the grip. I've shook a lot of hands in my day, but never like that. It was pretty cool really, very unique. It's wild cause I was talking to another guy once who had also met Luc and we actually got into a pretty in-depth conversation about Luc's signature snapshake. Hopefully after another three years or so, someone will read this and comment about how that received that rad handshake as well!
When I listen to such awesome releases I realize that today not only the riffs have degraded, but the sound has also become so digitized that it is horrible / nearly impossible to enjoy. I am talking about all forms of "heavy" music.
Don’t know what you’re on about, this is good, but it’s very basic OSDM, their first few albums are leagues better than this. Close To A World Below is incredible.
They never stopped making this brand of dm, but they did evolve their sound. Best Immo albums for me are Here in After and Close to a World Below, but they've never had a bad album and are incredibly consistent.
33 years of friendship!!!!! LOVE YOU, BROTHERS!!!!!!!

Fuck yeah
I still remember talking with ROSS after they got back from Germany recording Dawn of Possession!!!!!! What a great human being!!!!

I love Rottrevore and Gorguts that's cool as hell
This is awesome and hard to believe it came out in 1989.
Considering how often I see this exact comment I think the 80s was just way more brutal than people think lol.
@@mistertagomago7974it was beyond brutal. 1987 until 1993 was the most brutal
I actually bought this demo at Day of Death in 1990 As they were still not signed yet. Amazingly good.
Man I remember I was there back in 1990 as well got myself a demo too
@@timmyturtle8625 I got a T shirt too...still have it too!

Kick ass sound for a demo \m/
For sure.. Money well spent!🤘
Better than 95% of the contemporary metal albums' sound for sure.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
GORGEOUS!
With the MORBID ANGEL and AMON(DEICIDE)the Best first wave death metal act!
love how raw it sounds in comparison to dawn of possession, but gotta love em both
I heard this demo during the 80's tape trading and got it from a guy called Bob Vigna, I immediately became fan
This came out in 1989 so how did you hear it before this?

Para mí este demo es lo mejor que ha hecho Immolation, me gusta más que sus discos.
Uh amigo, es que Atonement, Dawn of possesion y Acts of god son tan buenos que cuesta decir eso.
Super sonido huuuuuu....
A mi lo que me gusta es la verga como a todos los que escuchamos esta música de mierda 😂💩
Locoras amigo jaja
This demo it's a master piece

Three Death Metal hymns that could not be effed with then, and still stand the test of time! Timeless Kultness!🤘
Great Demo! These guys along with Suffocation Rule the East Coast when it comes to Death Metal!
Incantation as well.
@@mortuarykrematorium4650 both immolation and incantation are better than suffocation in my opinion

Their best material 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
those first demos and damn possession
