My mom was a lifetime...Eww rats!! Kinda gal until she vacationed 10 days at my home. 10 days of watching my rats interact with me. She saw their excitement at just the sound of my keys in the door and their insisting I hold and give them love for a moment when I got home. Mom realized their just tiny love puppies ❤ She loved my rats by the end of her stay.💓
That’s awesome! So many people have that negative feeling towards them. We’ve been able to change that view of several folks since having them. Once one sees how personable and loving they are, it’s hard not to fall in love with them!
i once had a rat way back in 2001 it was my homie when it died i had no clue whatsoever just how short their life span is and i had a real strong bond with him too my hands were all in scratches all the time from how much i interacted with him rats are very based but they are a lil heartbreakers

I had rats for about 10 or 11 years. They were a ray of sunshine for me. 2 years ago I had to stop getting more rats because I developed some pretty intense allergies to them. Im so upset at my body for doing that to me. I miss my rats so much. I used to sit with them and give them puffs just like you. Your girls are great and sweet little muffins.

I have two rats at the minute, a black and white and a grey and white, they are so cute. But then again, I think all rats are adorable and really can't understand why people have such a bad opinion of them.
They are such amazing, rewarding pets! ❤ The last time I had rats was about 10 years ago. I'm so excited to be getting 3 girlies in the next few months! I've missed having rats. 🥰 The ONLY negative about them is their short lifespans. 😢
Yep. They are trained to use litter boxes just like a cat. They do still urine mark, though, outside the box. It’s a territorial thing and typically very minor.
Hmmm… great question. They all have their own special personalities so I’m not sure. The rats are much more playful and friendly, and like attention. They climb all over us. The piggies are more skittish but one of them likes having her chin rubbed. My wife is especially close to her. The other one doesn’t like being touched but certainly has me wrapped around her paw when she wants a carrot! She just looks at me and stands up with her front feet on the bars. Works every time!☺️☺️
😊We had to make sure the walls are higher than they can jump. Also had to make sure not to give them any footholds or place items too close to the walls they could use as a springboard.

Rats have different characters, some are more active and some are more cuddly, but most rats likes to go to someplace safe to eat their treats like these cute fellows ☺️ Every rat is a precious pet, I have had totally over 40 of them since 1988 💖🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀💖
@@mirkkasalo5868 I agree with you 💯 Each rattie I’ve ever had has always had their own distinct personality….and I’ve loved every one I’ve ever had…and I’ve had 50 since 2012…and the amounts of Baytril, doxycycline….and amoxicillin I’ve had to use when they got URI’s….just to save so many of them was countless…but I loved each and every one of them…and gave them the BEST LIFE possible that they could have ever had for the 2-3 years they were with me on this earth. And I still have my ratties ❤️🐀🐁❤️ And they live on thru the babies that they have had. I currently have 7 of them. And they are a pure joy to interact…and be with ❤️
