God, Red and my therapist are what got me through darkest 4 years of my life, with self-harm, anxiety keeping me awake at countless nights, depression, self-hate, feeling guilty all the time. Red music helped (and still does) me to verbalise the emotions I had, not feeling more guilty about being both Christian and depressed. It was a piece of what God did to save my life back then, when Out from Under spoke my heart. I am so sorry for your loss, mudvayneimn .. I don't have good words, but hold tight.. Hugs ♥

I read CS lewis' book "The Great Divorce" on the part about the Little Red Lizard, an analogy of a man (the ghost) overcoming his lusts (personified as a red lizard on his shoulder) and sin through a painful purification of the soul by The Burning One (Angel of The Lord). Played the song while I read it, its epic and got me emotional. -- I saw coming towards us a Ghost [a visitor from “hell”] who carried something on his shoulder. Like all the Ghosts, he was insubstantial, but they differed from one another as smokes differ. Some had been whitish; this one was dark and oily. What sat on his shoulder was a little red lizard, and it was twitching its tail like a whip and whispering things in his ear. As we caught sight of him he turned his head to the reptile with a snarl of impatience. “Shut up, I tell you!” he said. It wagged its tail and continued to whisper to him. Best screams I think I've ever heard in a song. I love the fact they completely overdo it with the screams as well, especially at the end. It contrasts so well with the calmer and more melodic parts

There is no sound like yours. Always the soundtrack to Armageddon. Angels and demons locked in eternal war. The orchestral strings and the heavy electric bass chords pair so ethereally. Red is the all time greatest band, hands down. Thank you for keeping it real and bringing the magic.
RED - the band that has kept me going when I was in the darkness through all of 2020 and the latter half of 2019. So many songs that spoke to me, expressed what I was feeling better than I could. Please never stop - it's not "just music" to many.
I think that Ryan Bennett would be a good fit for RED on drums. He is formally of the bands Eye Empire and Clint Lowerys solo band. And also filled in on drums for Tremonti.
