50049 and 50007 - 50 Terminator Phoenixed - Plymouth & Exeter 23 March 2019

On Saturday 23rd March 2019, Fifty Fund locomotives 50007 Hercules (masquerading as 50014 Warspite on one side) and 50049 Defiance, resplendent in new GBRf livery ran the Pathfinder 50 Terminator Phoenixed railtour from Paddington to Penzance, before returning to Waterloo.
In this video, the 50s arrive and depart Plymouth on the down portion of the tour. They are then seen arriving at Exeter St Davids before heading to Riverside sidings. Finally, they return to St Davids and are seen departing for Waterloo.

There is something about the class 50, the design although old just looks right and they always look like they mean business. Plus it sounds awesome!

Totally agree. The 50s have always been special to me (childhood memories of them at Dawlish Warren & Paignton). Love the fact that you can hear them about 5 minutes before you see them!

I was there at the end of platform 3 as well. The sound when they opened up as fantastic.

Thanks. Filming was a challenge (so many people and so little room!) but a great atmosphere.
