You guys are awesome! I can pretty much taste that salad. by the looks of it you could have fed 100 people with the stuff growing around you. thanks for the vid!
Thanks for the refresher course on mountain veggies. get me back to looking for these more often. We live between the Carson range and the High Sierras. We have a bunch of different editables here.
What's not to love here. In my backyard, with Matt (who's vibe I've been dig'n) and his girlfriend (sorry, didn't catch your name) just enjoying themselves and making a salad. I love it. I think I'm close to the confidence required to chow on at least a couple of these treats. Mostly the Sorrel and Plantain. Thanks for enjoying my hood!
hey Matt, try them seed stems from plantain. they have a really nice taste too. especially the young shoots. it's a little like Champignons in taste. very nice. like em a lot. happy harvesting from Austria all the best Mike
I keep finding plantain everywhere after seeing this video haha. I think it's a slightly different variant than the ones here, the leaves are a lighter shade of green and slightly fuzzy. Same shape, same seed tuft, same tough leaves though. They seem to grow a lot in lawns and around other plants.
You can eat redwood sorrel too?! Man, I have gone hungry on far too many hikes while surrounded by food. Water, water everywhere and not the knowledge to drink.

Wood-Sorrel: The Algonquin Indians considered it an Aphrodisiac. Hope you two had a great night....

Are Matt and Sarah still together? I haven't seen any videos of them in 5 years.
My plants are much smaller up here in Canada
Shouldn't you wash them first?
Who knows what could have peed on those plants you are eating.
You can smell pee. It is very strong. Only maybe pollution from the air, but not likely a lot out there.
