99 Mercury Grand Marquis Wiper Motor Replacement

Folloed your video to install a wiper motor from a 2002 MGM into my 99 MGM which was only working on high speed. Now all speeds work. The motor stops in the park position with the crank arm pin facing the left passenger side. When I attach the linkage with the clip, turning on the wipers forces the wiper blades down into the plastic housing. Should the crank arm pin be facing the right driver side n the park position? Looking at the motor from front of engine.
