    Wow! "Feel like you've arrived, before you arrive"
    Amazing machine & if you can afford an 80m+ superyacht, then that tender is pocket change!

    • @goldcd
      @goldcd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      If you can't afford the mega-yacht, you could just come ashore in one of these and point vaguely to the biggest boat out there when asked which is yours.

    • @helplmchoking
      @helplmchoking 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@goldcd I think that's part of the point. you pull up at some incredible Monaco restaurant or club and step out of that star trek sounding door, everyone knows exactly how wealthy you are even when your ship is nowhere in sight. guaranteed vip access and bottle service just by tying up 😂 and it says "this is just my tender, the real ship doesn't fit in your little marina"

      I'm not sure it's the door actually making that sound. I think it's the stereo speakers, the rear one was way out of sync it was still making the open noise when it was fully opened. Maybe I'm wrong and it's a clutched electric motor doing it but hmm if Nick could chime in on this one? I feel that's "piped in" sound

    This is really does emphasise the difference between lottery winning money and genuinely mega wealthy money! It's really money no object territory!

    • @helplmchoking
      @helplmchoking 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah lottery winnings would buy this tender, maybe a few depending on the country. but a ~$100million yacht is gonna cost you the price of a dozen of these every year just to maintain and crew it, you'd have to be out winning the lottery every year just to keep up your yacht 😅

    Aquaholic found this, originating from a time and place unknown to mere mortals. A mesmerizing vessel with looks so smooth they soothe while presenting engineering that confounds. The finish, lovingly wrought by old World crafters and artisans is the product of countless hours of quality labors over every surface - it is all overwhelming. Thank you, Falcon, for such a thing of beauty. And Thank you, Nick, for sharing...

    It reminds me of very early cars where the passengers would sit in an enclosed cabin and the driver was out in the open, much like the old Western stage coaches.

    What a fascinating tender! The hybrid drive makes perfect sense given it's mission and the whole tender has a futuristic vibe without being garish. Love the 'whoosh' of the airlocks. Hopefully the trip will be short as it's lack of a head gives new importance to 'go before you leave'.

Same thoughts here: with a full load of guests, one sits knee to knee with the person across from you. Heaven help your guests if they should need the loo after enjoying the champagne! Passengers are as far from a 'sea' experience as can be, given the boat is floating in it.

    This kind of layout was done back in the 20-30’s where companies like Chris Craft and Garwood designed boats where you had a cabin in the middle with the outside forward helm except this one takes it to the next level

    Superb design, I designed and built a hybrid narrow boat 12 years ago powered by 4 thrusters for ultimate manouvrability!

    typically how far would you travel on this? I'm assuming anchor the mega yacht a few hundred metres off shore and zip to shore in a 2 min ride.

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Yes, not long usually. It's ship to shore transfer.

    • @darthkek1953

      The mother ship might be a few hundred meters off shore, but it might also be a few miles up the coast too at the anchorage in a bay with a view. The crew would ensure the tender is at the dock by the time guests arrive, then they zip them round the coast. eSysMan has talked about superyachts using tenders to transport people between different marinas because the marina the yacht is near isn't the same one the guests arrive at (because they arrive at a larger marina with a helipad).

      These can also be used to shuttle guests between different superyachts at events like the Monaco GP

    Every time I watch your videos I play this game called “what could I afford on this boat.” Sometimes it’s a door knob, sometimes it’s a faucet, the occasional flat screen mounted in a state room. This boat, I came up with a big fat goose egg 😂😂 not the first time either!
