Practically, when money flows, passion gets deeper. Balancing or not balancing is the pigment of imagination that satisfies for some time. It is financial success that plays a vital role in pushing you ahead. Second thoughts come only when first don't work as desired.
Amongst all your productions, I loved this as it touched me the most. Though miles behind you in this journey of professional authorship, I could feel your arduous journey due to a somewhat similar situation when I worked as a freelance Content Editor for nearly two decades. Although, in a stark comparison with me, you being a full-fledged author have had to be the one-woman army with a wide array of responsibilities including social media posting, engagement, book release, book promotion etc. along with the core aspect, the writing. While indie publishers have to dawn numerous hats, I, as an 'interested in being an author', feel that writing deserves to be a spontaneous affair. Unlike an overwhelming number of suggestions of writing might continue to flourish when written regularly, I believe that writing deserves a celebration of the author's passion. Words, as I consider should evaporate after thoroughly consuming the author's urge to write! Once the writing attains a spontaneous character, the rest of the affairs (increased social media interaction might result in a learning experience, for instance) might follow suit. Please continue your good work; existing difficult aspects will convert to manageable ones soon.
Hi Bodhisattva, Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment! I truly appreciate your kind words and your perspective as a freelance Content Editor. It means a lot to me that you found a connection with my work. You're absolutely right about the various responsibilities that come with being an indie author, from writing to social media engagement and promotion. It's a balancing act, but hearing from readers like you makes it all worth it. I agree with your view on writing being a spontaneous affair that reflects the author's passion. Your encouragement and understanding mean a great deal, and I'm grateful for your support on this journey. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors as you explore the path of becoming an author yourself. Keep celebrating your passion for writing, and I'm sure great things will follow for you too!
Living from writing - started to feel the joy of writing slipping away seesaw - making a living and enjoying what you do when I kicked off this journey it was an escape writing for the soul not just the wallet I do not want my main motivation to write to be money income, but not just from writing
Hi Nidhi, Thanks for summarizing the video's core message so well! Balancing writing for joy and income is key. It's about writing for the soul while also making a living. Your insight mirrors my own thoughts on writing. Appreciate your comment!
As a fellow author, I have realised that we should separate our financial goals and all other goals (including writing). I am not a writing coach but if you deem alright, we can discuss ideas about writing better. :)
Hi Manish, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts! I appreciate your offer to discuss writing ideas. Do you happen to have experience or insights in book publishing, especially in the US market? I'm currently exploring opportunities in that space and would love to learn from your expertise if you have any.
Hi Sudhakar, I am guessing you are referring to me looking for a writing coach. I appreciate you reaching out and expressing interest in working together as a writing coach! Could you please share more details about your experience and approach as a writing coach? This will help me understand how we might collaborate effectively. Looking forward to hearing from you!
