I personally like to wear thick winged liner with thick frame glasses and small winged liner with thin frame glasses. I feel this makes a huge difference. I’m obsessed with those brown glasses😍😍😍
I've been wearing glasses for almost 10 years and I think it's very important to chose a pair that matches your personality and tastes. Also it's extremely important that you feel comfortable with them and that they suit you. I generally just get one pair and wear them with everything.
I think the eyeshadow situation depends on what kind of glasses you wear. I have to use tons of eyeshadow for it to show a little bit more, since my glasses make my eyes look even smaller.
My tips, as a seasoned (2+ decades!) glasses wearer: 1) Mac F+B for us no-touchup types 2) the thinner the frame, the more dramatic the eye shadow, and vice versa: the thicker the frame, the simpler the makeup. Im partial to smoky eyes of any color for aviators, and a simple cat-eye liner for big plastic frames goes a long way 3) Rule of 3s: glasses look best in the middle third of the face. Also, 4:52, youre pointing to the nosepads, and the indentation they make when they sit on the face. Keep servin the lewks, i absolutely couldnt get enough of that last outfit!

The idea for the concept was great...sadly glasses are really too expensive and usually people can only afford one pair of glasses and maybe one of sunglasses, and don’t have the possibility to change them and pair them to their outfit. Of course you can sometimes get discounts on the frames but the real sum you pay on the lenses. As a long time glasses wearer my tip would be to always carry wipes, especially if you are wearing makeup so that you can clean the lens from traces of powder or foundation

I've worn glasses for about 11 years but really, I wore contact lenses every day for 10 of those years! 😅 mostly because I played sports but also because I didn’t think I looked good with them on. For the past year I've embraced the glasses and know exactly how to do my makeup every day. I also stick to nude eyeshadow shades and a thin winged eyeliner because the glasses magnify my eyes a bit! I would say match your frame to your hair.. you don’t want them to be too overpowering. And the same for skin tone. If you’re on the pale side, perhaps stay away from very harsh, dark glasses as they will just stand out from miles away (unless that’s the idea, then by all means go ahead'). Final tip is to always carry a cloth for cleaning your lenses!!! 💛

I love your channel, and I do have a few tips for people. I work in an optometrist’s office. Honestly, the quality of the lenses on most websites for the glasses is not great, that’s why they’re cheap. Lenses purchased in better doctors’ offices usually have better quality coatings on them, such as Crizal, to protect them from scratches AND give clearer vision. If your vision is not that bad and you don’t have insurance, go for the websites, but ONLY then. Your insurance might cover more than you think at an office. The price of frames is directly related to the name and fame of the brand, not so much quality. If you buy Gucci frames, you are solely paying for the name. Progressive lenses, needed by many starting around 40, are almost $300 with no insurance; we are priced on the “low” end, and that’s not including the frame. So, eventually it will not make sense to have so many pairs. I have rarely come across patients who buy more than 1 pair (and certainly not more than 2 pairs) for the sole purpose of style, but I also don’t live in NYC. That makes more sense to me for sunglasses with no prescription in them. Often people will get two pairs for different practical uses not related to style. Find at least one pair of glasses that you can wear with literally anything: it is less about matching it to your outfit, and more about matching the shape and color and size to your specific face shape and size, skin color and tone, hair color, etc. My last tip would be to invest in the Anti-Glare coating, especially if you work on a computer all day, or in front of a camera... there will be less reflection of light bouncing off and hiding your eyes to everyone else. :)
Hi Violet, we totally understand where you come from, but usually websites, such as ours are not cheap because of lesser quality, we are cheaper because we don't have all the retail costs local optometrist offices do. We cut out the middlemen and that way our prices are much more affordable. We take pride in our quality and we do offer all the coatings you mention above :)

I ended up buying some big cat eye blueish frames and I would like to know apart from blue, light blue outfits, how else should I style them. because I also have other more classic frames that I might update the prescription on. Thank you!
Another important note I would add, which will hopefully prevent future problems for online customers: It is extremely important for your VISION that your prescription given to website is VALID. Some websites recommend that you ask for an old prescription if you don't have a valid one. In what other medical environment would this be ok? A doctor's office cannot and should not give you a copy of an OLD prescription, or give it to you over the phone. Same thing goes with contacts. Please, please, get a new exam, for your vision.

huge tips for choosing the right frames: #1 don't get frames that cover your eyebrows! #2 get frames that are the same width as your face otherwise your head will look too small/too big! At least these are things I look for when buying glasses. I have really terrible eyes plus astigmatism, so I can only buy one pair every couple years. I have enjoyed getting pairs that match my hair color. Since I have dark hair they stand out on my face just enough without overpowering me, and the go with everything since they blend with my hair.

Honestly, it depends on how big the lens are. The bigger the lens, the more room you have to play. If the lens are small and the frame is thick, it will cut off the attention of the eyelid so skip the eyeshadow and winged eyeliner. Just stick to eyeliner on your bottom lid and use mascara.

My tip is I avoid putting too much product on the bridge of my nose. I find it easier to blend with a finger in case there’s indentation ;)
