"Borrowed" the socket-type tool from an auto parts store and it started opening up when trying to remove the oxygen sensor. I put a hose clamp around the end of the socket and then the tool worked fine and didn't open up.
Great video! I just went through this myself with my Escape. Bought a brand new Walker "Stainless Steel" muffler. In quotes because it's already starting to show some surface rust, but time will tell I guess. At least it's nice and quite, and it was an easy install.

I've heard that some stainless steel mufflers are not as rust-resistant as they claim to be.
