The Axis bank card requires relationship value of 10 crore and above, just to save 5% markup it doesn't make sense to block your 10 crores, that being said not everyone has that kind of money
1st one was rather funny.....it was like check the rates before you go out so you don't get a heart attack on your trip and loose more money on healthcare😂
Best way to save money on international trips is ask your hotel to give you local cash and that amount will be added into your bill at prevailing exchange rate. Hotel may charge only 1-2% in local currency or even 0 for forex which is way more cheaper than carrying cash from India. Pay your final bill by your any credit card which may charge 2-3% markup. I have done this on my Dubai and Sri Lanka trips.
@@Veessingh789 Selling forex cards in the name of free markup is just a marketing gimmick. Majority of your expenses will be incurred before going to trip.
That fees is charged by Thailand Banking system and it's fixed to 220 thb for international cards per atm transaction. Mark up fees is charged by your bank it can range from 1.5% to 4%. Some cards also have DCC(dynamic currency change charge) depending on That's rate. So it's better to you Forex cards or just swipe or carry a fixed amount of Dollars.
I think instead of using credit or debit cards one should use pre paid card and load it prior to travel to save conversion price and also price fluctuations Credit and debit cards must be the last option and not the first
Question - if you are carrying usd to your destination country, dont you lose money on conversion twice. First INR to USD and then to local currency. Isnt it simpler to convert and carry destination currency instead (especially for visa fees, sim and taxi ). Whats the catch? Can any expert travellers advise.
Very impractical advice. The cards mentioned require crores in account. Go old school, buy a forex card. For petty cash, take 50 USD/ Euro from the nearest forex shop and then convert it in local currency later.
First You are using a Visa DC by HDFC bank It charges the tha merkup charge Before going to abroad get any forex card our Neo global card free in fees You suggested axis burgendy private onecard 🤣 in India how many people afford a 5cr account in axis Bank
Simple. Before travel get cash in USDs and on board the flight. Use cards only for swipes not for withdrawals.
Did same thing 😂

LOL !! If someone has 10 khoka, why would he/she worry about markup
It looks like You selected DCC option. Never 👎 select home currency when doing foreign transactions.
Yes, that was for the purpose of sharing the video and showing the fees associated.
@@TanyaKhanijow you could have mentioned it, not to select Dynamic Currency Conversion option - biggest “hack” IMO
