So a plated, more stable rebel V4. I’m buying it.
The v1 better imo
Looking forward to this one as I ended up using SC Elite as a long run shoe… Rebel V4 is a dream so on paper this looks like a winner.. let’s see … good review thank you

Looks amazing. Love the SC elite 4 and the rebel v4. Can't wait for this one and the Pacer V2 to come out. New Balance has really stepped their game up over the past 18 months. I was a die hard Saucony fan but over the past 18 months I've ran more in New Balance and Asics than any of my Saucony shoes.
I'm so excited for these. Still got at least 200 miles left on my V1. That black colorway looks sick!
The original SC Trainer was a tri "super" trainer. It has a high stack that rivaled the Prime X. For some reason New Balance shied away from what I describe as the final frontier of running, superstack shoes. The V3 might be an improvement over the V2 but it's not going to capture the magic of the V1 nor challenge the Prime X series or the Skyward. Keep in mind that the SCT V3 has a midsoles that is 80% EVA. That's disappointing when you can buy a Endorphin Speed 4 and soon the.Deviate Nitro 3 for $20 less and get 100% PEBA/TPE superfoam. The only advantages of the SCT V3 is the stiffer carbon plate and the rockered geometry. Anyways, the competition is fierce and NB should have been bolder with the V3.

Watching these guys run side-by-side makes you understand why Asics went with 2 supershoes (cadence vs stride). Anyways, can't wait for these SC trainer v3!!! - most anticipated shoe for 2024.

Im still wondering why NB shied away from the high stack height of V1. That was a really good shoe with room to be a great shoe with future iterations. Im so glad adidas didn't change the stack height of prime x

Man they really don't know what they want the SC Trainer to be do they? Made one of the first OG super tall soft shoes, then brought it down and made it firmer, and then now made it firmer again
If you want soft, get the Mizuno Neo Vista....
The Elite v4 should be the trainer and they should have a more aggressive racer

Looking forward to this version. I have both the V1 and V2, and somehow, I think that nothing will ever beat the V1.
Agreed… 1000k gravel and tarmac on mine, still works a treat.
The V1 was soooooo much better than the V2, like worlds better. V2 was a little sturdier but ew, very stiff and coarse. V1 was a masterpiece, awesome fit and feel. The best Fuelcell shoe I've ever worn and it's not close, but I haven't bought any of this year's trio yet, just prior ones and hoops models.
Looking forward to this one. Ran my last HM(Oct 2023) in the V2. Served me well. We’ll see if V3 will be used for my next HM (Aug 2024).
New Balance might have to be the best looking/fashionable running shoes with their models and colorways hands down. Excited for these coming from the v2s that have been great all around.
The only two shoe rotation you need, the Rebel V4 and the SC Trainer V3. I am getting both.

Love the format getting miles! I am bias because I do a similar 5 min on the first 5miles but this was terrific
they look fantastic! i am just concerned that they may tend to over-pronate on the front ball of the foot as the v2 did. @ 5 mins it looks like they may do this unfortunately.

Had to return my rebel cuz the heel collar shredded my Achilles. Hopefully the trainer is softer in the collat
SC trainer V2 is terrible for me. Mushy and clunky at any speed below Tempo killing my calfs and Achilles tendon.

Does this also hv the heel problem of the fuel cell Revel v4? Even Ben Parks got uncomfortable in those.
I have a pair I haven’t worn outside yet. I may return them. They feel like a negative drop shoe new out of the box. I tested feel against the Adidas SL2 and the SL2 feels just as cushioned but more traditional in terms of drop. Plus Lightstrike pro is my favorite foam. It just gets better and better with age. On the fence about returning the Rebels but I do love how they look on foot. I’m just not sure about the feel of the midsole foam and geometry as well as foam durability. I hear they lose some bounce after only 100 miles.

More life out of the trainer than the elite plus the trainer is heavier than the elites are by about 2 ounces. The idea is to train in the heavier trainers and then throw the elites on at race day for a lighter familiar feel.
How bouncy is the shoe compared to sky paris?
Will it work for the half marathon race? Or 10 k race?
I liked the V1. To me,the V2 was a completely diff shoe from the V1 but kept the name. I need to hear this dude's thoughts without the NB rep standing by

I need to make a hard comparison with all the NB shoes now. FCSC Elite, FCSC Trainer…. can’t tell things apart.
Wish NB made a 15 Wide. The 14 is just tight enough to be a no-go on an otherwise perfect shoe for a big dude.

full NB rotation for me this year. The only issue is the price in the UK will be about £230 UK Pounds. That's $290 US dollars FFS. Come on NEW BALANCE that's just plain greed.

@@andy_runs305 all NB models are overpiced outside the US. 1080v13 was 200 Euro (217 US Dollar) in Germany. REBEL V4 is 160 Euro (175 Dollar) and so on.
So. Should i buy the Rebel or the Trainer?

Can the sc trainer v2 do 400 meter repeats to 1600 meter repeats and get decent response from the shoe? Or is it better to have another shoe for that
Probably is the SC Pacer V2. They are releasing that one soon as well.
Love how they talk about getting some miles in and later getting some more miles, and then come back and say "we only went for a short run." Was it even a mile?

This will give the Superblast 2 a run for its money (pun is free...).
This video was made in 1984. Why? First, you see the trees have no lieves although it´s now the end of May. Second, look at the watch Connor wears. It´s clearly not a model that was made in the last years. It´s decades old. The only logical conclusion is that either, this is a feed of a simulation or we are watching something happening in an alternate reality in which the aesthetics of the 80s are combinded with current running shoe tech or they had advanced shoes before us. It all makes sense.
Doesnt help they say trainer yet the foam gets shredded within 8 weeks and then they charge near race shoe price
