Does Behringer have security, to give android user rights. We use the Mixing Station for board control and X32-Q for monitor control. I can't find any way to stop anyone that knows the board IP to have control.
Hi Dennis, there is no security on the Behringer side that we're aware of for restricting user rights on Android; however, when you first load the Android app, there is a section for "Mix-Access". You can change this from "All" to a specific mix bus, but there's nothing that would prevent someone from changing it back to "All" if they knew how. Not an ideal solution, but hope it helps.
Hi Dennis, we recently discovered that Behringer has come out with a X32-Q app for Android. We have not tested it yet, but wanted to let you know about it. Keep us posted if it solves the security issue you mentioned.
Thank you for the information, I have that app, it works well. So we really can only secure the router then. We thought that when we got the Bahringer that we could give user rights to users so they could only control certain items. If they are working on updates that would be a good one to add in.

Connection security is not within the scope of the app, actually within the scope of really any app - the security comes from your router config via the wireless access key. Without the access key, no one would be able to connect to the board even if they did know the boards ip address.
+Samos12 Absolutely, once you've connected the X32 to a wireless router, you can connect many devices to that router. For example, it very common for us to have an iPad, an Android tablet, a phone, and a PC (running the X32-Edit app) all connected at the same time. If you want your musicians and singers to be able to control their own mixes, they can all connect too and use the X32-Q app. Hope this helps!

Honestly, I like the Android version better, but both work great. I would buy whichever one is most practical to your needs outside of the X32. It really is a matter of personal preference.
I have been using the Google Nexus 10 for several years now without any problems. I have not tried any other tablets, so I can't really recommend one over the other. I have also used several android phones to adjust monitor mixes without any problems, such as the LG G4, LG G3, Galaxy S4, etc.

@@worm75 Yes, you can connect multiple tablets to the X32. One can run house mix, one can run monitors or live stream mix, and musicians on stage can control their individual mixes...al at the same time. The limiting factor will be the wireless router/access point everyone is connecting their devices to.
Hello, we did not create the app, but I highly doubt there will be a version of Mixing Station for the iPad since MUSIC Group already has their X32-Mix app available in iTunes.

You may need to reset the console to its factory settings. While the console is booting up and the “X32” logo appears on the screen, press and hold the “Scenes / UNDO” button, keeping it depressed until the console is fully operational and the Home screen is displayed. The console will now be in the exact same state as it was when first shipped from the factory. However, you can immediately revert back to the status the console was in before being switched off by pressing the Scenes/UNDO button.
i bought the pro version of x32 mixing station and can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME get it to save a scene. i set my scribble strips, eq's on a couple channels, go to the file folder, scenes, save, fill out a name and description, hit "save" and NOTHING. help?
Can you have the android device and an iPad at the same time? Also, do you have to reconfigure the wifi every time you unplug the rack and router? In other words, do I have to set up the wifi at every job?
Hey Jesse! Yes, we have connected multiple Android and Apple products at the same time. No, you should not have to reconfigure anything. We are quickly able to reconnect every time we turn the console on. If you have any trouble, please let us know. Thanks!
im actually having the same issue. Every time i take the ethernet cable from the rack and start connecting my phone. It wont connect anymore. Is there something wrong that I'm doing?

I cannot get my LG tablet to connect. I find the console, select it, select connect and I get "connecting..." and it seems to get stuck there.

I know the app has no security, my hope was that the boarded had some type of user settings on it to set who could do what.

@@kulapao7766 I've found that I have to "search" for the x32 each time. It's pretty quick to connect after that.
