Ah yes, this awesome elevator! It runs great for its age.
If you are ever in Nashville, you should see it.
They took the automatic openers off both floors and replaced them with traditional door closers.
I wonder what the future of this elevator is. The whole place seems to be under construction now.
I hope I can ride this maybe next year. I was actually thinking about coming here for my Spring Break back in March of this year but I ended up going to Minneapolis instead.
Where Skivator is.
it is awesome!
It still runs like a champ
it is a vintage otis :)
IM OBSESSED WITH ELEVATORS
So am I! Especially vintage ones!
This one is epic!
Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it’s still here
yep it is :)
Happy Father's Day, Andrew!
Thanks!
@@DieselDucy Yw!
Cool! Also, this could be therapeutic for any claustrophobic person who also fears elevators.
yeah the mirrors help alot.
Pretty cool place and it looks interesting
It really was.
Awesome!!! She runs like a champ. I wish the buttons were original
it has been like this since at least 1997 the first time I rode it.
I Love Your Channel
Thanks
When are you going to post your next bathroom tour on commodes? Very interesting elevator indeed.
I need to schedule it out. Hopefully this week.
@@DieselDucy oh okay I just thought the schedule on your commodes channel was just every Wednesday afternoon and every Saturday morning.
It’s a nice elevator 🛗
it really is.
The elevator looks about the same as it did when i rode it in april 2018, but the whole place looks a lot different.
It appears as if they are renovating the whole place.
So you’re in Nashville eh? Have you stopped by the Sheraton? They recently renovated and they’ve changed everything but the elevator COPs
I stopped by there and they still had the dover buttons. This was in may.
Nice Video
Thanks for the visit
Amazing and Epic! Too bad the outside door operator isn't working anymore, why doesn't it open automatically anymore when you press the call button? What happened? Why does it take 30 seconds or less to close? The door operator on the gate definitely needs some help with opening on the first floor
Yeah it needs some help.
Is that noise at 2:02 coming from the door closer?
I believe so.
Installed in 1902
Slap on modded in early 2000s
Thanks!
Amazing find, and not restricted to authorized personnel -- when I find a swing-door elevator or other classic lift, it's usually restricted access :-(
this one is 100% Public :)
@@DieselDucy Nice :-)
Well. Not much has changed on this elevator since 2013. Still runs well but the doors take a long time to close
yeah lol
Umass Amherst has an elevator like that one.
awesome! Where? I would love to see it!
Can you make a video at drury inn San Antonio airport
If I ever go there.
If everything is getting refurbished I fear for the elevator is next
we will have to see.
hey dieselducy I was wondering does the elevator have traction or hydraulic motors
Traction.
@@DieselDucy EPIC
2:02 Was that a fart?
I dont think so.
I never heard of it.
it is like a mall.
I never been to Nashville.
Since the door is semi-automatic and the lift itself is tiny, it would be a pain in the butt for a wheelchair user (who really needs this lift) to use. So, it's probrably going to get ripped out and replaced with a more accessible lift.
Please get those elevator parts.
I don't know its fate.
Sucks the door doesnt open by itself anymore shows us is getting old
Yeah
The door operator has been removed and converted into a door closer and it's slow
yeah :(
Didn't this used to have an automatic door
It’s probably been opened manually so many times because people didn’t want to be patient that the gears probably got destroyed.
@@TransitAndTeslas yeah
it did.
Very very Slow elevator …. But Nice 😀
it is epic
