The only time we got on wrong train was one of those like express and local so we took an express and it passed the stop we wanted to go to.

This video was BEAUTIFUL. It really makes me excited for my Japan trip next year. The missus and I went 2 years ago but life kinda soured the trip for us so we're determined to do a do-over. I MIGHT have stolen some locations to visit from this video~
Sorry to barge in but if you’re planning an autumn trip I HIGHLY recommend booking 2-3 nights in Nikko and taking the time to sail the lake, walk the path along the Senjogahara plains, see the temples and waterfalls and maybe spend a night in one of the small cosy onsen towns. Wife and I spent two nights there and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, even though it rained a bit. If you decide to do it we’d recommend taking advantage if the Nikko All Area Pass from Tobu, we got the extended 4-day pass (it covers a greater area as well, including a couple of onsen towns) and it basically includes all busses, the lake Chuzenji ferry, and Tobu trains from their Tokyo Asakusa station and back. I saw that it is possible to order online but we just popped by their Asakusa station like 4 days before we planned to go to Nikko, stood in line at their tourist information office and then the nice tourist info clerks arranged everything including booking our reserved train seats for usand gave us the tickets, passes, and local transport schedules in a neat envelope.

10:27 This part is genuinely so cool to me because I was taught in America about different types of plastic and how each one is recycled differently, it’s really disappointing how most of our plastics aren’t recycled because of how we group everything together when there’s more too it than just trash and recycling. So it’s really cool to see a system that properly acknowledges the fact that different plastics need to be organized properly to be recycled, and the fact that it seems pretty easy to follow makes me feel like we could have something like that in America if we pushed it hard enough.

Ahhh, the joys of public transit. Some years ago I got to participate with the exchange student program and go to Germany from the USA, and the town we stayed in had a tram that ran between that town and the nearest city, with multiple stops near places to eat and neighborhoods. It was SO NICE to walk maybe 3 min, get on the tram that passes by every 15, and be able to get something to eat and be on my way back in less than an hour.
This is my first time watching a video of yours. And I’m genuinely surprised how chill and calming this video was for me. It was so intriguing to watch your experience of this trip and makes me want to go to Japan again myself someday, since I also have really fond memories of going there for vacations. I also wanna mention that as I was watching the last third of this video, I was in a pretty depressed mood because of the year ending and being anxious of next year. But watching your fiancé propose to you and you guys finishing your trip, it made me emotional. It made me realize how happy I am that this year happened and that next year may turn out just as fun. Sorry to barge in but if you’re planning an autumn trip I HIGHLY recommend booking 2-3 nights in Nikko and taking the time to sail the lake, walk the path along the Senjogahara plains, see the temples and waterfalls and maybe spend a night in one of the small cosy onsen towns.
Wife and I spent two nights there and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, even though it rained a bit.
If you decide to do it we’d recommend taking advantage if the Nikko All Area Pass from Tobu, we got the extended 4-day pass (it covers a greater area as well, including a couple of onsen towns) and it basically includes all busses, the lake Chuzenji ferry, and Tobu trains from their Tokyo Asakusa station and back.
I saw that it is possible to order online but we just popped by their Asakusa station like 4 days before we planned to go to Nikko, stood in line at their tourist information office and then the nice tourist info clerks arranged everything including booking our reserved train seats for usand gave us the tickets, passes, and local transport schedules in a neat envelope.

10:27 This part is genuinely so cool to me because I was taught in America about different types of plastic and how each one is recycled differently, it’s really disappointing how most of our plastics aren’t recycled because of how we group everything together when there’s more too it than just trash and recycling. So it’s really cool to see a system that properly acknowledges the fact that different plastics need to be organized properly to be recycled, and the fact that it seems pretty easy to follow makes me feel like we could have something like that in America if we pushed it hard enough.

Ahhh, the joys of public transit.
Some years ago I got to participate with the exchange student program and go to Germany from the USA, and the town we stayed in had a tram that ran between that town and the nearest city, with multiple stops near places to eat and neighborhoods. It was SO NICE to walk maybe 3 min, get on the tram that passes by every 15, and be able to get something to eat and be on my way back in less than an hour.

This is my first time watching a video of yours. And I’m genuinely surprised how chill and calming this video was for me. It was so intriguing to watch your experience of this trip and makes me want to go to Japan again myself someday, since I also have really fond memories of going there for vacations.
I also wanna mention that as I was watching the last third of this video, I was in a pretty depressed mood because of the year ending and being anxious of next year. But watching your fiancé propose to you and you guys finishing your trip, it made me emotional. It made me realize how happy I am that this year happened and that next year may turn out just as fun. So I’m really thankful for this video sharing with me its energy and optimism from my sad mood lol.
