Love these ideas! Here's a tip: When I am using embossing powder or glitter, I fold 2-3 sheets of inkjet paper in half to make a valley. This creates a sort of funnel. Then, I layer them on top of one another. I use the top sheet to capture the powder/glitter from my project. Then, I pour the excess embossing powder or glitter into the container over the second sheet. Then, of course, there is some that just didn't make it in, but it is on the third sheet. I use that to pour into the container over one of the other sheets. Hope that makes sense. Very little powder or glitter is wasted or making a mess.
Gina any jeweler that is reputable will take a photo of your diamond through a special magnifying glass, it will show the registration number in your diamond. They will photograph it and show you. Then when you return, they will show you again through that same magnifying glass, and you will be able to see the registration number to know it is yours.
Great ideas for Terrific Tape. Don’t feel bad for being hesitant to leave your ring with an unknown jeweler. I share that fear and have 2 rings I can’t wear because I don’t know who to trust.
Watching on replay. Gina your original paperwork should have the diamond serial number or marking. After the repair have another jeweler verify the # or marking.
When I use microfine glitter, I burnish it with my fingers before using the Swiffer. Thermo Web has 13 colors of Plush Paper. I wish they had colors for critters: beige, tan, brown, light and dark gray, rust
Watching on replay. Check and see if you can make an appointment with a jeweler who will fix while you wait. A prong should not be too difficult. Although getting them all extended might be good.
I disagree. Choose a jeweler that is insured and bonded. Jewelers are in a whole professional. My jeweler takes a photo of my diamond, which shows the license number in it, he then shows that to me and when I pick it up, he again shows me my diamond through that scope, so I know it is mine.
Love glitter

Great techniques.
Herbert’s Jewelers in Kenosha They made my mother in laws ring and she was married in 1952. They are awesome and made a ring for me.
I had my wedding ring reset in a custom design at Kelvin shroeder jewelry in oak creek. They do a fantastic job.
Thank you!!

Good idea!
What’s awesome
Can never put my foil up to the top of the carrier sheet like Gina. Need to have a little space on mine to get rollers to grab it.
The foil on the dot runner looks like tire tracks.
Your right don’t trust the jewelry stores with your diamonds 13:36

@ that’s great!!
I find it is better to press down with the back of the finger not the fleshy part. The hardness of the fingernail gives a better contact to the foil.
Tom, do you still play your guitar? I miss it!
I sent an email on your site about an Amazing jeweler, known for many years!
Thank you so much for that, I'll check it out!
