- Hey there guys in this video I show you how to add tweeters to a coaxial speakers and how to wire them and where I put them in my mk3 mondeo. I removed the kenwood speakers for the Vibe Blackairs 6.5 here is a link:- vibeaudio.co.uk...
And the tweeters I installed was from:- www.pioneer-car.... Also as you see I used more speaker wire to extend to tweeter wiring to reach the speaker in the door afew cheap terminal blocks a drill with a 32mm blade, obviously a drill, a file or two and just screwdrivers . Location of tweerer is a difficult one, and will split opions on everyone.
In the door ?
In the door pillar (means making pods to hold the tweeters and then adding these pods to the door pillar)
On the Dash facing you. (Probably the best as HF are very directional)
Still its up to the individual, and may depend on how much moding of the door pillar pannel, dash you want to do, or feel looks ok.
What I did is that I bought a passenger side mirror adjuster knob cover(my car is left hand drive). Then I just widened the hole with dremel to fit the tweeter (Alpine SPR-10TW).
Of course I had to move the mirror knob somewhere. So it took a little soldering to lenghten the wiring but now I have the knob just in front of the window control. Looks modern.
personally I feel they sound better up on the dash in the corners by the screen

can I wired the tweeters to the speaker harness so I wont mess up any factory wiring

Hi, ive just bought some pioneer 6.5 components for my mk3 2005 mondeo, but cant for the life of me work out what speaker adaptors to get, what have you used in that install?
