- Officially crossed the midnight sun off my bucketlist. Lofoten Norway is one of the most beautiful destinations on earth and to witness 24 hours of sun there only made the Lofoten summer more spectacular. From staying at Hattvika Lodge to exploring the soccer field in Henningsvær, Norway is a place you must add to your bucketlist.

This video reminded me of my own midnight sun adventure not far from Lofoten, we went to Harstad, Norway instead. The setting sun (around 10pm) during this time of year on a clear blue sky is just gorgeous, it bathes the most golden sunset light I've ever seen!

Really hard to find such a place, as you know, Norwegian´s aren´t the ethnic people group of Norway, Sami´s are.
@@FrozenCardGaming That's simply not true - the first findings of settlements in Norway can be dated back to around 9200 B.C, just after the first ice age. People immigrated to the geographical area known as Norway trough mostly three different routes, the Sami people only being the first trough one of these routes.

Norwegians have lived in norway for atleast as long as the samis, probably for longer.
Samis are Uralic nomad peoples coming in through the arctic, - and stayed in the arctic.
Norwegians have been fishermen, hunters and boat peoples ever since the Icecaps revealed the land, - which i may add happened thousands of years before the first confirmed sami movement into scandinavia.
Samis and Scandinavians are 2 completely different people groups, scandinavians being native to the area and samis being nomads moving into it from the northeast.

The footage is illegal tho. Both over buildings and too high into controlled airspace. Dangerous for airplanes and helicopters.

Well done on the footage and editing. Lofoten is on my bucket list too. I have yet to travel there, even though I'm Norwegian. I actually live really close to Langfoss, which you drove by in westcoast Norway. Mom and dad visited Lofoten two years ago and she still cries every time she sees a photo of all the places in that area. She says it's just that beautiful. We are all avid hikers, so they hiked a lot of the mountains up there. And because of the midnight sun, they managed to do 2-3 mountains a day. They were high on life and arctic air I guess 😂
I never knew it had a midnight sun i only saw it by accident on my students' companion i really jealous now nice mountain great view.I from Trinidad most people in my country is not arrear of this exsistence i am 68yrs now.Norway has to be a nice place.

The best spot for Midnight sun in Norway is North Cape! There is nothing in between, just the ocean. I had witnessed and it's magical for sure. That was my experience.
Amazing footage, Lofoten is in my bucketlist.
I'm glad you're happy with your visit to North Cape - and that you could view the midnight sun. But generally speaking is North Cape one of the worst places for viewing the midnight sun. Best place would be almost anywhere else - as long as you are in the Arctic.

I was in Lofoten with my grandparents, its an amazing place to visit. Would personally recommend watching the northern light one day. Since i live in Norway i can't appreciate the mountains and the view like you guys (guess im to used to it). But the Northern Light always blows my mind.

I've been to Lofoten last summer when it was 30 degrees Celsius so it was incredibly hot, especially as for this region. I loved it and swam a lot in the cold sea! 😁

Travel Amigos Arafat In the summer the sun never sets, while in the winter it only rises for a few hours. Also if you travel to Norway in the summer you won’t see the Northern lights.

Norway is so beautiful and unique,we were in skarsvag Norway in winter time and when we are at the Nordkapp it was 1 pm in the afternoon but it was literally dark like 1 am ,it was so beautiful

Just came back from my second trip to Norway, incl the Lofoten. First time was in february when the sun does not rise above the horizon, this time, the sun did not set. Daylight 24h a day! Nature in Norway is magic. I will be back!
