Alien Romulus THEORY TIME Ripley's Lifeboat The Narcissus
Another theory for you guys that may equally agree and disagree with many of you I'm sure. The Narcissus designed by Ron Cobb in one way or another looks to be making another appearance in an Alien movie but will it be the same vessel?

This is not a modified Lock-Mart Starcub light shuttle.
It is in fact is a modified T-47 Airspeeder, desperately trying to escape the now desperately dismal Star Wars franchise. One which has been set to manual self destruct and cannot be overridden.
I gotta pin this comment. You speak certain thoughts I feel I cannot express because of cancelling and demonitization. Epic comment though 🤣🤣🤣 Obi Wan taught you well...
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE
Ob1 Wan somewhat failed me. So much so, I had to ask D@rth V@der how he knew what I was getting for Christmas, to which he replied,
“I felt your presents.”
The best thing at this point for the Star Wars franchise is a Xenomorph outbreak...
@@bushcat274 This could be engineered ;)
"Thank you Sarah for your courage through the dark years. I cannot help you with what you must soon face, except to say that the future is not set. You must be stronger than you imagine you can be. You must survive or I will never exist...."
The shuttle model could be a standard lifeboat on ships and stations during this time period.
I came here to say this, thank you. In the first Alien it seems pretty clear that the shuttles are used as lifeboats. In the scene from Romules, it would seem they used to shuttle to escape the station thats crashing into the ice rings.
idk, Ridley has made alot of noise about trying to bring all his different takes into one thing, even though it seems like he's just throwing crap at a wall to see what sticks
Exactly. I hope it's that and not the actual Narcissus - that just seems ridiculous.
The scene with the station being destroyed is probably at the end of Romulus.
My theory is that the movie ends with a survivor who self destructs the station and escapes in the shuttle. The shuttle is probably a standard escape craft.
If the Alien was still attached to the lifeboat by the grappling hook, ladies and gentlemen we have entered the realm of comedy
Hey, Ridley's The Martian was a great comedy also 😉🤣
I would think Ripley would have seen it still attached?!?!
This franchise began its comedy long ago. When supposedly highly trained people decided it was a good idea to disobey Ripleys order to quarantine Kane. Then, they all decide to have a nice carefree dinner with Kane, who JUST woke up from his face hugger. Comedy gold.
@@carltonbanks5470agreed but the robot let them in with the parasited kane. But i always said how they just sat down with kane like nothing happened was the stupidest thing. The parasite was on him and down his throat, they had to have known it had done something to him. The robot knew, there was a scene of him looking at the alien embryo in kane.
@LanceyKersti Yes the synthetic let him in, but the others would not have been begging to let Kane in like that in real life. Everyone, minus the synthetic, would have understood and wanted Kane in a very tightly secured quarantine. Also, the operation to remove the face hugger was also not secured and they barely had on any protection or hazmat type equipment. Nobody standing by with a weapon. Those scenes were just logically a comical shit show.
I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but I hope we don’t get a Ripley cameo. The company were interested only in the xeno. They would be happy for Ripley to drift into oblivion, especially given what she knew about the company’s duplicity. It would serve the company no purpose to locate the Narcissisus without its valuable cargo and risk their plans being exposed by Ripley as a result, which is exactly what happens in Aliens. I hope the existence of the Narcissus class escape vessel is a plot point and a nod to the original Alien.
You make a good point but my theory is just me exploring some ideas and if it ultimately would be a diminutive factor for the film then I also hope for a better narrative 🤞
Have you ever read Alien: Out of the Shadows?
They may be using that as a partial template.
@@NoOne-yh4cl I haven't but I keep being told about it now so I feel it would be a disservice not to read it at this stage. There's bound to be a few stelar novels that many people consider canon so I look forward to checking them out.
For Ripley to feature in this story, there'd have to be an explanation for how Ripley would feature in this film, but is then shoved back out into space, to float - for practically another _40 years,_ - only to be found, by accident: and then to wake up looking at Burke's face, with absolutely no recollection or evidence of even one single thing to do with Romulus. In fact, Romulus is never mentioned again, by anybody - ever. That's already a fat question mark: you can answer that one with a catastrophic, "All records lost", event - but then you've had your massive eye-roll plot-convenience, for one film. How many more are you going to thrown at a story before people just have to walk out of the picture, patronised?
Ripley showing up, alone, is something that stands to destroy any sense in the franchise, whatsoever - let alone make this one film, goofy: and I'd suspect there are 15 other potential absurdities that would be thrown up that I just haven't got the patience to sit down and consider.
It seems nonsensical to me.
Furthermore, on reflection, that grapple-gun I'm sick to death of hearing about, is still stuck in the door, in Aliens. What about that?
So the gun has a tracking device in it, they track it, they found it - but they somehow didn't touch it. Or, they opened to door, got Ripley out and did some stuff, then they wiped her memory and put her back in the boat, and replaced the gun after turning off the tracking device, then shoved her and the gun back out into space?.....
I can't.
@@lewis7515 I have no control with what they do obviously, just having fun with theories but if Ripley did appear, she would have to study asleep to make any sense 👌
I just wanna thank @pilgrimgrey4191 for first letting me know that the iconic Narcissus lifeboat vessel is indeed in the Romulus trailer and well that got my gears turning. I'm not sure if my theory is going to create some contention among Alien fans as to why we might be seeing this craft again but if I am right in my theory, it could mean we might get ourselves a Ripley cameo In Alien Romulus. Now, how the bloody hell do you feel about that??? I feel like this possible narrative I talk about has a bit more weight to it than the conveniently placed tracking device in the grappling hook that seems to be a very popular idea at the moment, but only time will tell. Let me know if you have a better theory as to why we see this vessel in the trailer please? All the best guys and girls.
Maybe this new movie starts with the end of Alien? Similar to the end of The Thing (new one) or the end of Rogue One.....this theory could explain why WY was able to clone her in Resurrection and why she wasn't found. I LIKE IT!!
I love the idea of a Ripley cameo, or at least knowing that this ship is indeed her shuttle. That would fill me with joy...Great video, thank you. Subbed.
@@roachmojo Thanks. It was just an idea but in reality they would need to pull it off well enough otherwise it would piss off a lot of fans ;)
Sigourney Weaver's performance of the Ripley character is truly iconic, especially considering that the character was wrote as a male character originally. It's funny how modern day filmmakers all act like there has never been "strong female characters" before? When in reality, there has been strong female characters in cinema since it started. I wonder if any of the new actors/cast will capture any of the magic of the original two films. Hopefully this new film will become at least the third best film in the Alien franchise.
You're right. There seems to be this conscious thing to treat strength like it is the elephant in the room these days. If male, then it's toxic, female = brave... Just let things be what they are organically and stop putting everything on a pedestal Hollywood!
I have got high hopes for caliee spaeny that lady is very talented. & will no doubt bring a high level of intensity & emotion to the character she will be playing in this but the script & authenticity have to be on point let all hope that is the case.
@@speckyhotdog84anderson6 I hear she is great in Civil War. I need to see it asap.
@ENTERTAINtheDUDE she is very good in that movie she is only going to get better with age & experience 👏 👏
Exactly👍
Well, theres the Audiobook "Alien: Out of the shadows" that expands the story. We can take that as cannon as any other installment in the Aliens sphere.
Ripley actually came into contact with a space station 37 years into her journey as a result of Ash having downloading himself into MUTHUR and "stowed away" on the Narcissus.
Having intercepted communications between miners on a planet and the crew of the space station/vessel in orbit speaking of Xenomorphs, he then guides the shuttle to their location.
Chaos ensues, Ripley survives but has her memory wiped in the process, gets discovered another 20 years later by the team we see in Aliens.
Some others have mentioned this. I'll have to listen to it, thx.
I loved that audiobook. I always felt the alien franchise never took advantage of the near endless content, at least in a cinematic genre.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE Out of the Shadows. River of Pain. Sea of Sorrows.
Try and find the Audio Dramatizations, they are extremely well acted and add to the Lore.
@@MagicE13 will do, thank you
@MagicE13 Fully agree! They're fantastic and I accept them as canon. Had to check the voice actress for Ripley wasn't Sigourney herself she was that good!
The xenomorph's acid blood would have corroded the grapple and it's cable regardless of the thermal blast from the motor.
You would assume so but in the effort of keeping my barely hanging on theory alive ;) I would argue that we don't know how it's acid reacts in the vacuum of space. We know that it oxidizes after a bit and ceases to be corrosive but in space? Who knows.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE it stayed hooked for awhile .........10, 15 seconds ........between getting shot and engines firing ? maby it did not dissolve the line.
I think you are giving the new movie more credit that it deserves, this is 2024 and this is going to be a popcorn movie with just enough nostalgic clips to keep a few fans happy.
The trailer looks like they have mashed the first two movies together to get Alien Romulus, add a young and diverse cast and it's like remaking Alien/Aliens for a new generation.
Hehe, well if that is the case then I might as well have fun with it while I can 👌
Personally I'm thinking people aren't giving it enough, the trailers have been great, everything I've seen has given me hype not dread, which I'd be the first to point out mind you, people who dislike it I'm sure haven't seen everything they've shown so far
@@Rogers1000 I'm on the fence as I refuse to be another TH-cam either on the hate or hype train. I'd rather just wait and find out but you are right, for the most part, the trailer has got me very excited to see more
@@Rogers1000 I would agree with you that the trailers have been quite good, but in most clips there are obvious nostalgic copies from previous movies. I'm today years old knowing the grappling gun was there in the door-cutting scene in Aliens. Seen the film millions of times and never noticed it haha
Remember that in today's high Res version it is so easy to spot things now, so not your fault 👍
yeah I never noticed it either. Strange that she would leave it there.
Confirmed in Prometheus, the Company had a machine capable of reading minds. It stands to reason the fear of Ripley being Davids Queen Specimen, they left her in cryo and created a biosynthesis cipy with full memories
I'd forgotten about the dream and memory reading capabilities of cryosleep. That's a good call indeed
this is actually an amazing theory :O and now that i think about it it's not that "out there" so .. fede said that he's a big fan of isolation too, so going by your theory this would also allow the events on sevastopol to become canon and it would also explain why they didn't wake ripley up ... because her and her daughter would both be major threats to weylands experiments
Hmm, interesting. You know, even though I'm playing Isolation right this second tabbing out haha, I never thought about that. There are so many aspects to this game that had continuity in a way most films fail to understand. Thanks for mentioning it buddy.

I think you have nailed the concept of the next Alien film, where everything you explain makes perfect sense. I also feel if the film doesnt take this route, I have no idea where they would go with it. It could end up being Jason Voorhees in space, being replaced by character with a Xeno.
I think you have done a superb job on analysing the franchise and deducing a natural path for the film to go - good effort.
Very nice to hear this, thank you kindly 😁
It looks like a type 1 civilization you think Ripley would have looked out the window to see if it's still attached to the line😢😢😢😢😢
Maybe she got cocky? 😉👌😎
That ship..hovering in the shadows...shocking...exciting!
It certainly got me thinking 🤔
A crew found Ripley’s ship, so this sounds plausible.
Nah. I'm sure there are many identical shuttles being used at that point in time. People are going to get so caught up in theories that it will dampen the experience of the new film.
You may be right. I'm not sure I fully believe in any of these theories but for entertainment value it's fine I guess. Plus, you never know, right?
i think fede will be wise enough not to lean so heavily on the other films, esp not so much as to bring the alien or the narcissist back... they will have to really be clever to make it make sense, every good story has coincidence, but this might be way too "some how" and we all know how that went down with star wars lol
@@aaronbreeds5132 I think there is little doubt that Big Chap is back and that is enough. If that ship is the specific Narcissus that is fine to as an Easter egg but I just hope the rest of the film doesn't get bogged down in too much of the connective tissue to not stand on its own.
Was looking for a comment like this. People are just looking for ANYTHING to connect to the only two flicks in the series. SInce it looks like they're going the Big Chap route, I think I"ll wait til it hits Streaming. IT IS TOO FAR FETCHED to have BIG CHAP MAGICALLY BE FOUND. IT IS SPACE. IT IS BEYOND ANYTHING we can comprehend...
Within the context of a sci-fi setting, I don't think that it would be inconceivable that ships could be tracked.
An interesting idea but I think it is a similar or same type of ship not the actual Narcissus from Alien.
You're probably right. I Just love to speculate 👍
you could be right, if this movie is set just 20 years after alien 1979 those shuttles are probably still in use.
The first immediate reaction that I had when I heard that 'Alien: Romulus' took place between 'Alien (1979)' and 'Aliens (1986)', was that the story was following 'Amanda Ripley', but then thought that if the story was set just a few years before Ellen Ripley was rescued from her 57 year long hypersleep, then this movie cannot be about Amanda. If this is set '20 years' after the first film, then it's possible, despite the fact that the main character's name isn't Amanda. I'm sure that there would be some big revelation/reveal during the movie or towards the end. All I know is that I can't wait for this movie to hit theaters.
Is that is the big surprise and reveal that is rumoured to happen near the end of the film then I'll feel a bit let down haha. But it did wonder if Cailey Spaeney's character was going to be her daughter. She grew up on Earth, so it is strange that she is now on this colony world but we'll see how it turns out. I also cannot deny that I am dying to see this film, even though I have prepared myself for a flop.
Ripley looked out the window , to watch the alien float away. She would have seen him being still attached. Plus IF he had survived, then he would have attacked the salvage crew, that saved Ripley. One more point, the Aliens only cocoon when they are on the planet. How could he cocoon IN space, while being severely injured, floating for 57 years.
Well we see a cocoon in the trailer and there are so many leaks about it being big chap. The scientists extract materials from it to create new Xenos etc. it was just a fun theory based on those leaks 😉😎
Now, I do agree SOMETHING is in that "cacoon". However, seeing a vessel that looks like the Narcissus does not mean it IS the one at the end of "Alien".
It could simply be the same model that is escaping Romulus. Since the timelines are so close, it could very well be just that. Almost like the Narcissus is the "standard" escape shuttle on all larger craft and space stations during that period of time.
I assume they knew it was going to tease us and create these conversations but I'm fine with not knowing for now though 👌
Totally agree with @thefilmlodge, Romulus being set only 20 yrs beyond Alien, the same tech would be used on many vessels of this timeline. Plus Ripley's shuttle would be well into drifting through the core systems by then and for another 37 odd years yet. Plus that suits WTs agenda to keep Ripley's story quiet.
The grappling hook gun is still there at the start of aliens during the salvage mission...the alien is gone
Well, I theorised that they would have taken the Alien back to renaissance station for the events of Romulus.
right, the theory here is that they somehow retrieve the alien without opening the ship, which would be why the ship is floating away while whatever happens is happening to the space station ( i dont like that they basically show how the movie will end with this thing crashing into the planet ring)... or maybe they place it back as a "leave no signs we were here" thing... but for them to know what that is trailing behind the narcissist just seems so unlikely
@@aaronbreeds5132 the reports are that so much of this trailer is designed to throw us off and that have a big twist near the end of the film that will blow us away. I'm trying to bear all this in mind as well.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE Was "twist" the exact word used? "Big Chap" returning would be more of a revelation for people who haven't heard the rumors rather than a twist, so I'd imagine that if there is a twist it would be something more than that. Do you think that it's possible that Rain is Ripley's daughter, perhaps using a fake name, on a mission to find her mother, only to learn that the Narcissus was sent along its way?
@@philhelm1318 That's a good one and is possible perhaps. I was told by someone who worked on the film that there is a big twist at the end of the film. I also have can't verify if this person is who is says he is haha! But there are many comments online resulting from interviews that state he has expressed a twist or big surprise for people.
Thanks buddy! Love the speculation videos! 👍
No problem. I love making them. I almost wish the film was due next year so we can keep speculating ;)
This film was set in-between Alien & Aliens. If the hook was attached to the Alien & the shuttle, and it some how got snagged onto the ship in Romulus. Then
A. Ripley would be in Alien Romulus.
B. Aliens would never happen.
C. It would take away the feeling of tremendous relief at the end of Alien when we finally see the Alien get obliterated into space.
Bit of a stretch
A. We may get a Ripley cameo but only in Cryo.
B. Aliens will still happen if Ripley is cast into space again.
C. It IS a really big stretch, I know 😉😉😉
I'd be willing to see this in theatre's again it looks like its come full circle with staying in the confines of the ship and that was what brought suspense to the 80s early 90s sci fi thrillers was the no escape aspect. Certainly wasn't lets walk around an unknown planet without protective gear and contract deadly spores and have all sorts of reverse engineering and mutations generate the death scences in over the top scenarios while making no relevant connections with the characters or the creatures.
Yeah I think many of us are looking forward to a more familiar direction than that of the prequels haha! I hope it is terrifying and has the all elements you speak of.
It would be quite something if the Narcissus was tethered to the station after retrieving the Alien and all hell broke loose before they could even search the ship and that knowledge going into aliens knowing Ripley could have been found 30 years before she does in Aliens would be sureal and add an extra sadness to the character..
They may not have let her live but if so, she could have gone back to Amanda, her daughter 😕
Interesting theory but the thing is, in Alien, Ripley watches the creature after hitting the shuttle thrusters. If the alien was still connected to the grappling gun she would have seen it and, at least try to do something to remove it, bearing in mind there's a window into the shuttle and Ripley would be aware the alien can survive in space. Big Chap's discovery is a huge debate of course, so how the company does find him is going to be key to the films success, but this is one element of the film Alverez has to get right.
Very much agree. My theory is just me having some fun with ideas but this is what I love about this franchise and it's universe. It has me obsessed regardless of Romulus being a good film or not. I can't think of any other IP that has the same value to it's mysteries.
Exactly. Ripley goes to sleep and doesn't even look out the window?.. My attention started wandering after that.
She did...the grapple gun was used to blow out the doors...then she sees it is still attached, so she fires the thrusters gone......
@@lewis7515 Ahhh she did look and most certainly would have looked before going into hypersleep
The company WY knew about the Xenomorph from David through transmissions sent after the Covenant departure from planet 4, but how they knew about the location of LV-426 is not explained because story of Covenant was not continued
Hopefully Romulus will bridge that gap and explain some things that were discarded
not sure david was still considering himself in league with WY tho at that point... he thought himself better and was going his own way
Of course the company knew about the moon that would become LV-426, they sent the Nostromo there in the first place.
At the end of Alien Romulus, i can smell those lifeboat will appear along with CGI Ripley.
If the queen of cinema ;) returns then I hope she is not CGI. They could easily just take footage from the films, especially if she remains in cryo and make it look authentic.

@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE can’t wait 🙏
I doubt any of this will feature, but David may know the locations of other Engineer related sites (crash/landing sites and beacons also) due to his interactions with their one of their orrerys. He sent a load of data back to WY when he flew off in the Covenant and, as Weyland's proxy, has all their codes..
Ash and David's sentiments toward the alien are connected in some way.
Covenant really opened up so many possibilities with that ending and may never directly get a sequel but it might inspire new films to have connective tissue with David's reports.
I don't understand why they built Hadleys Hope when they knew there was an Alien Ship there. Why didn't W&Y just send an investigation team
Yeah it's an oddity that does inspire so many conspiracy theories as there was always a more direct path for the company as you say
From what I hear, it's basically Alien 1
A bold statement 😲
I think it's the rescue ship from the 1979 film. Because in the trailer in 4K version, we clearly see the ship from the trailer (the one that arrives), ejecting towards the high simultaneously.
It'll be interesting to find out in August but it also may just be a generic ship of the same model 😄
I think it’s more likely that it’s standard life boat & it either has minor plot relevance at that particular point in the Romulus film or is otherwise just a neat Easter egg.
I have always wondered how survivable the alien really is in the vacuum of space &/ perhaps if it got swept by an orbit & went through a re-entry if it gets eaten up or if it could survive. I don’t think this theory is so out of bounds that it’s our narcissus & 1 alien that would have kicked off the Romulus movie. But I think it’s a little less likely than plain ester egg with no real plot / standard issue at the time.
You're most likely correct but it was fun to go down the rabbit hole 😉
One idea that I have had is that there were more than one Alien in Alien. Clearly the spacejocky was a victim. Whatever had done in the spacejocky was still there. What if it had managed to get on to Nostromo prior it taking off?
I suppose if it can hibernate then it's possible? Imagine how fecking big that thing would be though. In fact, I'd love to see a space jockey alien or even the engineer deacon fully grown.
Great content and very informative. Keep up the good work buddy 👍

According to newly released rumours, the story starts with a spaceship discovering the remains
of the first xenomorph from the alien movie. They bring it to the nearest spacestation and extract it

dies, and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind.
When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate.
Then a battle breaks out,and only one off the investigators manage to escape.
Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct, but
before that happens, the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings, but with blue skin.
And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?

Your theory assumes Alien: Sea of Sorrows never happened.
I would have to assume that the studio does not consider anything other than the films canon. However, I wouldn't want to tread on any of those wonderful novels, very sorry about that 😉
Im sorry but have we all forgotten that the alien has acid for blood? How fecking long would the hook have lasted with its blood oozing all over it? Seconds at best. So no it got dissolved .
Could be, but what if it's blood reacts differently in a vacuum or maybe what we saw splash was just fragments of it's exoskeleton? Just a fun theory but the film hopefully will have a more clever resolution that will blow us away.
11:28....totally agree ...I think it would be a cool little easter egg to join up the three films without harming either Alien or Aliens
Yeah, it doesn't feel intrusive

@ENTERTAINtheDUDE let's hope because if not it will be game over man game over!! 😊😂 👍🏻
Interesting to think about. If the Renaissance Station was actively there during Alien though she wouldn't have mentioned the network needing to pick her up in weeks, and they probably wouldn't have needed the Nostromo to stop there. I bet they built it shortly after though.
I would assume the station was a secret but then the salvagers in this film seem to find it easy enough haha. It's almost impossible to come up with a theory and for it to be bullet proof 😞
in the Space Jockey Room, there's a SQUARE HOLE in the floor that the Nostromo crew doesn't make, it's just there
Awesome point. It's maybe too small for the jockey i'd say. You would assume the cargo in the ship was accessible to its pilot and crew by other means with a bit more utility in mind, surely? Great point though, you got me thinking now....
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE i had always assumed that the face hugger that infected the Jockey came up from there...but the How and the Why were unclear

Likewise if other subtle hints from previous Alien films are noted throughout out Romulus.

Appreciate it buddy, glad you enjoyed my silly theory vid 😁. I keep wondering if I need to fully invest in reading all the comics and novels going forward because they seem to contain so many good ideas.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE Please do - I've been saying for years that they should adapt some of the novels as their ideas go beyond nameless faceless bald men running through corridors being picked off by the alien (looking at you, Alien 3). One in particular featured an intriguing concept of prisoners having time taken off their sentences if they would go into alien hives to collect what came to be known as "royal jelly" from the queen. They had metal bands fitted across their mouths and allowed themselves to be captured by adult drones and then placed in a hive. The trick would be to get enough time taken off your sentence before these experiences drove you utterly mad. There are MANY interesting concepts that go way beyond the overused and now boring "cat and mouse" concept of the later movies.
@@tulinfirenze1990 Oh Jesus, that almost sounds like it could be a Judge Dredd style Alien movie adaption, the one from the tower raid. Great idea without going too into depth with story and lore exposing issues that will contradict with other films. Great concept though for a film.
That book is called “Alien: Out of the Shadows.” I was just listening to the audio drama of it today, lol!! It’s pretty good overall. I don’t think the story, which takes place 37 years after Alien, would work well enough to be incorporated into the films, but it has some solid moments. The actress who played Ripley in the audio drama, Laurel Lefkow, sounded uncannily like Sigourney Weaver.
River of Pain is the story of what happened on Hadley’s Hope prior to the arrival of Ripley and the Marines in Aliens.
Interesting views and theory etc, etc. If it is Ripley's ship then maybe this explains her nightmares and more as they were not just nightmares. But the ship might just be an Easter egg or in joke like in Star Trek: First Contact where the Millennium Falcon flies past the Borg battle or Battlestar Galactica reimaged Mini series in 03 were the Serenity flies by in Caprica city. Plus with Alien Romulus do you all think we might see the science officer that was replaced by Ash or a CGI Ash model etc? Time will soon tell. I hope we still get Sigourney Weaver back for one last movie as we need #justiceforhicksandnewt and for #newtlives to happen as well.
Yeah I'm very interested to see what they do with this Ash model. I imagine the science officer from Alien that was replaced was a human and the company decided to place their sleeper agent instead. Keep alive those hash tags 👌👌
Ripley was a Warrant Officer on the Nostromo not an LT.
Ahh yes, my bad. She became LT in Aliens I believe. Must have just had in stuck in my head.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE it was 1st mentioned in Alien 3 but it was never stated where the LT rank came from.
@@ScoutTrooper33633 hmm thanks
Warrant Officer Ripley in first Alien movie. Maybe a lieutenant in Aliens.
Oh yeah, think it just got stuck with me haha
I'm sure we'll have a connection with the end of the first one I completely agree with your theory it would be crazy to have that on screen can't wait to see the film thanks for your video :)
Your welcome buddy. I think this film will have many surprises I really do 🤞🤞
As much as I love Sigourney Weaver’s role as Ripley I find the fact that the life pod is Ripley’s life pod to be as unlikely as the other theory that Ash somehow took control of Ripley’s life pod sending it to another planet that had xenomorphs and another crew that were also deemed to be expendable.
I really hope that any theory I can come up with will not compare to what that have written, I hope 👌Hope I am surprised.
Or it could just be a standard lifeboat design found all over the place.
I think they probably just crashed the Romulus into the rings in order to destroy everything.
It's just strange they would show it in the trailer. Now we know the ending 😣
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE you’d be surprised how many trailers show events of the endings in movies
@@bleeepbloop I'm finding it hard to be surprised these days 😉 However, Fede has said there are a couple of big ones in this film that are not in the trailer thankfully
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE oh I bet there’s going to be TONS of cool moments and surprises! just because an ending sequence MIGHT be revealed, does not mean excitement should be lost.
What if the alien in Romulus comes from an egg inside Dallas' wrapped cadaver that was shot out of the Nostromo into space mid film? It could've floated intact for years if not centuries.
Maybe somehow it had morphed perhaps. We saw him being converted in the deleted scenes but I'd imagine the body sent out into space was just a body more likely.
I think that this is a good theory, and it seems more plausible the more I think about it.
I wonder if the character of Rain is actually Ripley's daughter incognito (not that I like the idea), attempting to locate her mother, only to discover that the Narcissus was sent on its way as you have stated. It could be that Rain's pose with the pulse rifle is more than just a homage to Aliens, and that there is much more of a connection between the two characters. This would also quantify as more of a "twist" than the revelation that Big Chap is still alive.
It's also interesting that they look so much alike as well don't you think? ;)
I think that the alien being a tow actually makes the most sense, that we never saw it actually disconnected from the ship, and they found the Narcissus. That would make more sense than just finding the alien floating out in space, which is beyond a needle in a hay stack.
Exactly my thoughts 👍. It's just a theory but I will be shocked if this is how events turn out come August...
Not sure Ripley would have allowed that before she went into hypersleep. She would not have wanted the company getting that alien! And most certainly would not have wanted it going where she was hoping she was going, close to earth and humans.
@@LanceyKersti unless she didn't see it.
And they so kindly left the grappling hook in the door
Perhaps they never entered? 🙃
No, it's not far-fetched. Given that the company is the real bad guy in these movies, it makes sense that the company would have been shadowing the Nostromo. As well, made certain Ripley's ship got to that station. They didn't wake her up because they didn't want witnesses, so they collected the cocoon and then sent Ripley's ship on its way. That makes sense.
Thanks for making me sound not so crazy 🤣🤣🤣
I think that we can safely assume that the Nostramo had traveled far from the Area that the Xenomorph was ejected and it would be unlikely that they would be discovered near each other.
If we assume and it looks Likely that the Xenomorph Big Chap is recovered by the Station. We still don't know the Time Line that the Xenomorph was recovered by the Station and for how long the Station had been abandoned.
But I suspect that when they recovered the Big Chap, Ripley would be floating in Space far far away
So that is, Ripley in her Narcissus, being released before impact, to continue its other 37-year drift out, through the core systems.
It may not be but I enjoyed coming up with the theory at least 😉
We dont know anything yet. Im skeptical as we should be
Correct. I hope that the rumours of the trailer being completely designed to mislead us are correct as I do want to be surprised after all.
Its far more likely just a different escape shuttle. The station is being destroyed so obviously an escape was needed, and it's not like the design was unique. How many Toyota Ravs or Ford Escorts do you see on the road whenever you go for a drive?..... many. Companies use standard models, this is no different. Ripley's shuttle was launched far from the Nostromo into deep space 20 years prior and would have been far far away. Also I will be disappointed if they find the original alien... how do they find a charred corpse floating in the vastness of space. If the new series brings new people to the original planet as appears to be the case in the trailer, there are plenty of alien eggs on the derelict engineer ship that could give rise to a new situation. You wouldn't expect all the face-huggers if they just find the original alien. PS watch the Director's cut of Aliens if you want to see what happens to the colonists, great scenes that were cut from the original 1986 film.
Very interesting hypothesis. If this is how the alien is obtained I actually really like it.
It feels in the realm of plausible I think .
I hope they leave out any connection to Ripley, but I doubt it. Everything after Aliens has been pretty dire, except for Alien Isolation - so let the original arc go now and just give us a banging movie
Yeah Isolation is a triumph. Playing it right now actually but the ending is causing me some stress...
the most important question. What did the Predators do during this time? 🤔😃😃Your channel is great, I subscribed.👍
Thanks very much my friend. Careful when bringing the topic of Preds into this conversation, you might cause some contention hehe 😉😉😉
I bet it shows what happened to the people before they landed on the planet to check on the colony. If so that would kick ass. Like they leave just as Ripleys ship shows up.
Oh you mean LV 426? I have no idea when they landed but some connection like that would be a great Easter egg.
Thanks for another video, Dude. Can't wait for August.
I try to do my best for whatever that is worth haha! Yeah August needs to answer all our questions but will probably give us more in all honestly 🤨
Nicely done, godspeed
This is a well thought out theory and, if this does not play out in the movie, I will be sorely disappointed!! Nice work on this video!
Thank you very much buddy. I love to geek out so it's nice to meet like minded ppl 😉
There actually exists an Alien novel titled "Alien: Out of the Shadows". Placed between Alien and Aliens. In witch ripley is woken up during her trip to gateway station and has to fight an alien infestation again (on a mining vessel orbiting above a planet, LV - 178 to be exact. So the similarities are here. Ash also plays an important role in this story. So we know already that Ripley did not sleep all the way through her trip to earth. And the "Narcisis" survives that ordeal and Ripley again uses it to escape. hat's one tough litlle life boat. And there is an explanation in the novel to why she does not remember this during the Alens movie . So the movie maybe taking a spin on this story or maby Ripley just had more adventures during her 56 year journey than we know :)
I'm planning to read or listen to it as it sounds great. So maybe my theory was too late in the making or maybe Fede was inspired by the novel? Who knows but there is so much room for ideas in this IP. I just hope the new films and TV show elevates the franchise.
She would have mentioned that!! It’s not canon
maybe people are going about this all wrong... maybe Weiland 100% knew how dangerous, how volatile and how likely everyone was to meet their death... it is very possible they had sent a virtual armada of ships to collect samples and every single time one got aboard, everyone died... so after losing so much of their advanced tech, decided that it would be easier to send a smart but unwilling host to "gather" one for them... they didn't need to send a ship to tail them, they just replaced one mid to high ranking officer on board each possible ship that would travel past LV426 and flipped the beacon when they knew one would be around... it would explain why they didn't get the signal on the way there, they wanted to catch them on their way back.
Now where talking 👍. I love that these films allow enough unknown to make us think up these theories, gj.
Amazing theory ! If there would be a Ripley cameo, I doubt it would be done by cgi...Alvarez said he dosen't like them
Thank you very much. We've seen in some other films that they are able to take older footage and place it into the film, making it look authentic. I hope that this will be the case. Making this video made me realise how much I love Sigourney Weaver...
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE oh 100%, showing footage from other films is way better than de-aged CGI...Sigourney making a statement on this movie would be wonderful too!

What i believe is that all these androids constantly uploaded data back to WY .
The technology was used to collect data and send it back.
Hence, how WY always know what was going on... 🎉
Maybe they had a data cloud like us but more galactic? ;)
The continuity consultant for the Alien expanded Universe for the RPG, and video games established that the StarCub Class is a workhorse for stations, colonies and freighters through out the Middle Heavens.
I don't believe that ship in the trailer is Ripley's life boat. Why?
Because everything Ripley said, seen, and secured was observed by Mu'th'ur and the Network; Possibly David too.
My point is that some within the Conpany knows that Ripley knows that the Nostromo crew were set up to experience the organism.
If that was her ship, the station crew would have revived her.
Or;
The Company wouldn't have released her back into space. They'd just shut her up and cut their losses.
They should have used Kanes body; recover his sarcophagus, scrape for Xenomorph DNA in his corpse;
Yay! A new story idea.....
Also some good theories there, gj. But finding Kane's body would be a needle in a cosmic hey stack, unless that also came with a tracker?
The idea they were hauling a refinery. Says they weren't the first in the area by far. So why were they the first to hear it?
This is another reason why the films make me suspicious
they kept the hallway design... they may just keep the escape vesell. Could be a standard model since these ships where designed as "used future".
Of course but it's fun to explore ideas 👍
It is a good theory but if you listen to the alien river of pain trilogy, which is on audible you will find out why Ripley was adrift for so long I'm mean tbh honest it could fit into this theory
I think I'm gonna commit to exploring all of these comic and novel side stories but I'm kinda worried it might take away from my own creative thoughts 😂
Nope, it just makes the creative mind work evan more 😅 set yourself a few hours aside at night and listen out of the shadows then river of pain and then sea of sorrows or read the books but the audio version is the best 💯💯

Alien: Out of the Shadows (Audible) has an entire rescue Ripley story between Alien, and Aliens.
Sigourney looks so old that she resembles the space jockey
Has she developed a trunk? 😉
Do not shit on Sigourney. She is the GOAT!
The issue with this theory is why wouldn't they have taken the shuttle to renasance station.
And also they probably could have sent renascence a distress signal
I believe they may have taken it to the station and it remained there until the young adults released it but it's just fun theory and nothing more 😉
I never considered this. Good theory.
Cheers pal 😎
I lean towards the shuttle design just being common.
It makes sense but it's a tease for sure 😁
malnutrition? why? what's the length of time from the chestburster scene to the end of the film? less than a day?
Dude, I get hungry if I haven't eaten in a 6 hour period 😂. I get your point though, it's just that you need nutrition when physically and mentally stressed on those levels I would argue.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE you are very correct you can look at it like taking Adderall but not abusing it just taking it because of your elevated heart rate man if you do not eat in a 24-hour period and your body weight is not what it should be you can experience malnutrition very quickly so I think you're right it's exactly the same you don't need to have the drug I'm just using it as an example
@@s.e.sportscards well said. I actually get weirdly stressed out over simple things in the real life and therefore feel the tiredness from it sometimes. Annoying as it is, it still reduces my energy levels drastically. I can't imagine what Ripley would have experienced in those fictional moments 🤔

Great theories , I'm hoping Romulus is going to be a great movie , new subscription earned.
Much appreciated buddy, thanks.
I really hope they don't bring the first alien back for this because that would be so stupid and it would really make Ripley's fight seem like it was all for nothing at least to me it would.
I think it's pretty much confirmed at this point buddy.
Big chap will be in it , just I don't think it's going to live . It's going to be a dark fate to it as I believe this is the test subject they use to reverse engineer to the black goo... that is the only way and so bobs your uncle. It'll be well done.. it's going to be a good movie. I can feel it.
@@riseagainstfb a very likely outcome and glad you are looking forward to it 👍
The problem with some of these movies is that they break the original movie. So the first movie's end sequence now means nothing at all. It's the same with The Matrix 4 which breaks The Matrix, because Neo isn't The One.
Well my theory may just be my own so the film might do it's best to respect the overall narrative 😃
Its called bad writing.
Yesh i think lifeboat was found before aliens

Hmmm. I reckon it's a standard lifeboat from that era. It looks like the end of the film to me. Destroy the ship with the alien and embryos on it and escape in the life boat. Meaning that there is no evidence of a xenomorph for them to need it in aliens
Very possible but I just had to come up with a wild theory after seeing it in the trailer ;)
Yeah mate thats fair. The whole cocooned xenomorph in space theory was an interesting one though, regardless of the validity to it. I'm thinking that the emergence of the facehuggers is from some remnant of David in alien covenant. When he switched the embryos. As they seem to be breaking out of the glass instead of eggs.
Don't forget the one they sent to the bottom of the sea that was a qween and can stay alive down there even in ice so there one on earth
Our sea? AvP? It's all canon in somebody's eyes I guess right? 🤔😉
That is not canon..... it is an industry standard accepted fanfiction... the next one was not because it was not able to be viewed by the human eyes to determine whether or not it would qualify LMAO
AvP is a separate franchise not connected to Alien or Predator in any way.

@ENTERTAINtheDUDE but on that time line that thing is still under the ice at at the bottom of the sea we no space does not kill them we seen how that Qween was life locked up for 1000s of yrs . They could do a movie on her to
In the book out of the shadows Ripley's shuttle was discovered by another ship during an alien attack. But it wouldn't be the first time they had to change the books (earth hive). This could be pareidolia or the editor having fun with the trailer.
The trailer is one big tease when you think about it haha
Big fan of the original 3, Prom & Cov was excellent imho as it expanded on in the Alien universe. The trailer for Romulus had me utterly appalled with the casting of the film. Not a single F given while watching the trailer. We'll to see if your assessment comes to fruition, if big Chap has/had been towed along while Ridley's in hyper-sleep then it could be highly plausible for another Private Mining vessel could be re-routed by the company and made to rescue a hailing life rift on course for Gateway. Another thing, in Alien, Big Chap was probably towards the end of its life expectancy. I can't say that it could survive such an ordeal and then be brought back to life in Romulus, so then, does the film go down the genetic route yet again? We do see from the trailer that there seems to be an abundance of face-huggers in the Romulus ship. Crew members impregnated also... I can't lie to you about this movies chances, but... you have my sympathies.
Love the quote haha! If the film does indeed have a great twist like all the talk suggests, then ok. If the performances are decent enough, cool. It does visually look of a high quality at least but the whole lab and experiments part of it doesn't exactly inspire originality so far. It is what it is, so let's pray it is good enough.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE Also....the trailer may have exposed a scene where the "company" maybe physically involved, perhaps the crew are able to secure the critical mission objective. Maybe this time, Weyland-Yutani are able to finally attain a xenomorph specimen and take it back to Earth for future analysis and studies. Crew would most definitely be expended. And to think in Alien 3 that the only one to get away was a convict.
We see the same ship because Romulus is a remake of Alien for a modern audience. Literally nothing more than that. So this shot in the trailer is from the end of the film.
It still baffles me they showed the destruction of the station in the trailer.
@ENTERTAINtheDUDE well don't forget they say there are 2 different stations in the movie.. 1 is romulus and 1 is Remus .. this Greek mythology is going to play into this movie...and the destruction of that thing we see.. could be when they decide to destroy the ship to kill the alien just like in alien when they blew up the nostromo .. aliens when they blew up the processing station.. and which by the way... we have NO PROOF ,that blast in aliens would of got anywhere NEAR the direlect ship...meaning those eggs could all Still be under that space jockey. . Just sayins
@@riseagainstfb But the Company definately knew about the direlect ship after Ripley was found and told them...they would have went to find it for SURE
Not sure the planet assumptions are accurate. In the trailer it's clear that the colony itself is on the ringed planet.
Yeah I actually have no idea where the salvagers are from but I know that the ringed planet would be called Calpamos if two of it's three moons are LV 426 and 223.
again , after finishing this video, WHY would the company, if they KNEW WHAT WAS ON THE DERELICT, send random people to get it? if were saying 'because they didnt want to risk someone important getting infected' thats a very risky game to play with something that is 'priceless' ... they wouldve sent a qualified special team to recover the eggs, or at the very least, the nostromo wouldve been apprehended immediately after leaving lv426 if not before leaving
Yeah I know these theories can be pretty wild and sometimes it's better to remain grounded. I would assume that when Alien was written, most of these conspiracy theories were not even considered of course. But as long as they keep teasing added continuity aspects into these films then it will always fire up my imagination.
@@ENTERTAINtheDUDE yeah we are drastically overthinking for sure ;) but thats our fun
i don't believe that knew what it was but the beacon showed it was a possible life form...so it was in all the crews contracts that they had to check ANY possible alien life form out. Because just like you said If they knew what it was why would they send a mining crew to something that might be very dangerous and wipe them out?
wow i did not see that man shhh for these few mins hicks is alive and out there doing hick things like living in a lighthouse with his 5000 doller jaket
Look there are dozens of EEVs on all Weyland ships and stations, this can't be the Narcissus, because its was adrift for 50years until a salvage ship recovered it. Now do we even know what timeline this film is set in?
Romulus is 20 years after Alien.
