- Spend some time on Norfolk Southern's lines in East Tennessee and Northwest Georgia where you'll see three Heritage Units in one video: Southern 8099, Central of Georgia 8101, and Conrail 8098. You'll also see special CSX trains in Etowah, Tennessee and Dalton, Georgia - with Metra locomotives making an appearance and SD40-2s leading on the mainline.

Sure thing! Thanks for watching.
I believe I saw the train with the metra locomotive last year in Lake City Tennessee.
Glad to see someone else using its proper name!
Great video.
Thank you!
An incredible video Drayton!!!
Thank you! That means a lot.
This video is absolutely outstanding especially the sd40-2 led CSX heavy freight train 😊
I love all heritage units, but enjoy the NS Heritage Units mich better because they pay tribute to the fallen roads with painting the entire engine!
Nice footage and lash ups, lot's of Nice motors and scenery!🛤🚂
The Metra is a great-looking locomotive!
I agree 💯
Great Film 😁
Love the videos
Awesome shots Drayton! Glad to have your narration back!
More to come!
I love the cloud of dust that came rushing out of the tunnel as the engine came out.
That was fog.
Awesome video Drayton
Unfortunate that Delay In Block doesn't usually show the whole trains. Wish they'd cut all of the heavy editing on these trains so we can see all of the rail cars.
You are in the minority here. We typically show the entire train if it’s mixed freight cars. Not unit trains because that’s like watching paint dry.
@@DelayInBlockProductions I really doubt I'm in the minority on that. I'm just offering a helpful critique. I'd rather see the whole train, regardless. There may be interesting cars on those unit trains. Plus, one can count the numbers of cars on those trains. Otherwise, I have no other complaints.
@@Robert-ki7bz Well, Robert, we will certainly take that into consideration.
Anyone else notice 8099's number boards are now white on black vs the original, and the ditch lights no longer flash?
The ditch lights do flash on 8099 presently but only when blown manually. If an engineer doesn’t blow the horn, PTC will do it for him but the ditch lights won’t flash. Thats how to tell if the engineer is lazy or not. LOL.
Ns 8099 lost his flashing ditchlight?
They are the last to do heritage locomotives and it shows , very sad
NS paint there heritage locomotives way better than csx because they don't paint the whole locomotive its not heritage if u dont do the whole locomotive

How do you tell the difference between the diesels and can one find out about the difference between the diesel.
The best way is to go on eBay and purchase a “diesel locomotive spotter’s guide” from Trains Magazine or something similar. They break down how to tell what is what in an easy to understand manner.
awesome Southern Railway And NS 8099 Heritage unit is actually fantastic Drayton. 💚🤍
