This batmobile looks cool and everything but there is nothing spectacular about the engineering of it. The Chris Nolan batmobile (the tumbler) on the other hand both looks amazing and had to overcome some serious technical and mechanical problem.
And also, the Tumbler was designed the same way you would design an actual military vehicle, which makes it true to the story. It was engineered to take beatings, run through concrete barricades and ram cars and still function perfectly afterwards. That's why they didn't have to use practical effects for most of the stunts except the rooftop jump scene. This new Batmobile looks cool and it is engineered well, but it's not really something special. The design of the car is there for it to look cool, and then they worked the technical parts into it. The Tumbler was designed around its technical performance, which I think is much more impressive.
Huh… Affleck is an inch & a half taller than Batman in the comics… that’s a cool fact. Making him a bit more comic accurate & hell of lot more imposing & intimidating as Batman.
also at 7:15, they talk about how it's "real concrete" and they should avoid it to not damage the car etc. Meanwhile, the Tumbler literally ran through a highway concrete barricade and just kept going as if it was nothing. No practical effects, it did it in real life lol. A literal Lamborghini Tank. It also didn't care about ramming cars or ramp jumping its own height. Total beast of a car.
@@Ishamv3 thanks captain obvious. No these cars wont be able to survive a tank shell to the main body, and no they can't rocket jump due to the limiting size of the rockets you can mount to such a vehicle.. Doesn't mean they couldn't survive jumps like that. They tested the Tumbler with ramp jumps that let it jump its own height and land perfectly with no issues, and that's incredibly impressive for any vehicle, let alone a "tank" for the road.
The Tumbler can survive jumps that are more than twice as high, it can ram through concrete barriers, and it can smash cars without worrying about the technical components. That's the true performance, if you just want a fast car that can do basic jumps, get a Subaru lol. This Batmobile is a dumbed down version of the Tumbler that's more show than go. I still appreciate it, but it has nothing on the performance of the Tumbler.
@@sdworst7526 But it still isn't functional. And it has more guns than the American Army. Batman has always been about functionality, which is exactly what set him apart from other superheroes, because he had no special powers to rely on other than his brain. The Tumbler is exactly fitting of that mindset that is based in reality, whereas the BvS Batmobile is set in fiction. And did I mention guns? There's a lot of them. It's generic at best. Saying it looks like the one from the comics, with its edgy futuristic look mixed in, just makes it look unoriginal. Still my opinion, but it's got nothing on the Tumbler, nor any of the classic Batmobiles.
@@Real_MisterSir well it's the design that pleased batman fans since they want to see the batmobile that they read in comic being driven in real life, and you said it yourself that the tumbler is more reality based since Nolan wanted it to look more like a what if there's actually a vigilante dressed as bat fighting crime irl, so he make so that the batmobile actually work while the bvs takes more closer to the comic and that's is more fiction take so really anything could happen even if it look impractical because they are set in fiction(there's literally a god flying around, someone that could run faster than instantaneous teleportion across the universe , demigoddess that could pull a planet etc), my only problem with the tumbler is that it does not look like a batmobile and doesn't even have any bat motive to the design
Nothing beats the Tumbler, that name alone makes it cooler than any of the other rides. This one is all style and not much substance. Form didn't follow function unlike the TUMBLER! :D
Meanwhile the "golf cart on steroids" can jump twice as high as this batmobile, it can ram cars and destroy concrete barriers, and every piece of it is functional. Call it what you want, the Tumbler from Bale's batman would wreck this in any performance competition, maybe except a drag race lol.
@@Real_MisterSir unfortunately that one does not look like what a batmobile is or something that batman would actually drive, heck, it doesn't even give you any bat sign from the design since batman always implement bat to everything he used like here the back of it looking like a bat wing because the motive is a bat
This Batmobile is all show the rear end is too heavy fishtail jackknife because too much weight on an ass at the car the front stops and the rear keep going because of the weight the slingshot effect
Yes, they make impractical, unrealistic, prop vehicles and then try to pass them off as practical, durable, jump-able super-cars. It's all lies, and it's annoying. I doubt if this would even be fit for driving on road.
I really hate this. I like the Tumbler, but it has ruined the future bat-mobiles because they'll look like tanks now. And for that, they don't seem very durable at all. Another thing these creators in these videos stress upon is the car being able to jump, and they don't even hesitate to lie. The shot at 7:37 is probably CGI only, too. Their flimsy vehicle can't handle destruction like that. And if it can do ramp-less jumps (which is so important to them thanks to Nolan), why don't they put clean shots of those in the movies? Or show us in these documentaries how it happens. It's all just a bunch of lies. And what about the other features of the bat-mobile?
@array s Have you seen the Batman Forever and Batman & Robin batmobiles ? Yeah look at those and compare it to Snyder's Batmobile and come back and tell me which one truly looks more like a toy to you.
@@johnboko7110 I gotta agree with you there. The BvS batmobile looks like a mix between the Burton and the Nolan one. The Forever and Batman and Robin versions looks like toys.
Somehow I feel that they borrowed a lot from Chris Nolan´s Batmans, The Tumbler. It is still the best batmobile and will be. It was army technology. A Bridge building vehicle. It could took heavy beating and still work. This is like cross between Nascar and a Joel Schumachers Batman Forever batmobile. That may look cool at first sight. But it´s actually ridicolous. Now, where did they get the idea of car lifting up on it´s axles. Batbod
This one actually look more like batmobile from AK rather than tumbler, while the tumbler is cool it doesn't look like a batmobile, this one look closer to the comic and look something like what batman would actually drive and yeah it look like a race car because that's what a batmobile is looking like a racecar but a little bigger and a lot faster
To each his own, I think IMHO, the Tumbler is by far the best Batmobile since Keaton's Batman. Nothing replaces the original, but its too dated and campy for today's more dark and serious world of Batman.
Def. the coolest Batmobile since 1989's Keaton model, IMO. The Tumbler was cool, except for that stupid lay-down part which made absolutely NO sense and wouldn't work (your legs wouldn't be able to bend into that position from where they start out from in front of you, and WHY would you need to lay down?!? The dumbest idea Nolan had in those 3 movies, by far!!
FUNERAL BILL II I think the concept behind the laying down inside the tumbler is added protection and stability for the driver, but the main thing is that they used that to help introduce the Batpod and how it ejected from the bat mobile.
All you can think of is the lay down part. I smiled when i read "your legs wouldnt be able to bend into that position....." how the fuck could you get triggered by the leg movement of christian bale. Lmao. What a stupid comment.
So uhh I dont understand why people hating this batmobile I mean seriously Y'all loves tumblr ??? And hating this ? Why ? Because it looks like a toy car ??? Because the movie sucks ????
@array s How it looks like a toy wtf ? Look back at the Forever and Batman & Robin batmobiles and then you'll realize how dumb you sound, Yes the tumbler didn't had no cg in it's action set pieces but that doesn't mean the CG overlays and CG moments when it crash through walls, boats, exploding suvs in BvS look bad.
How the Snyder Batmobile doesn't give off the same impact and less involvement to the story than the tumbler in Nolan films ? The batmobile in BvS had impactful moments in it's action sequence and plays a role in the story in that being that Batman needs to go after Lex delivery truck that contains kryptonite rock to retrieve it and weaponize it to kill Superman
@@enamsenarThis is also an interpretation wtf are you on about? xD Look at the original Batmobiles, they look nothing like this. If anything, this is trying to be a sporty Tumbler, which just removes the main idea of the Tumbler in the first place. Nolan's entire trilogy is an interpretation, and the Tumbler fits perfectly into that. This new Batmobile is just out of place, it has no ties to the old ones, and it doesn't appreciate the mindset behind the Tumbler that it imitates.
The Tumbler from THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy is the Batmobile because it doesn’t look or resemble a bat, it looks like a realistic military vehicle... it looks “REAL”, keyword “REAL” like it could actually be used in a practical setting
@@TheBlond49No personality? It's literally the most unique and contemporary Batmobile ever made and fits perfectly with the Character of Nolan's Batman. Huh… Affleck is an inch & a half taller than Batman in the comics… that’s a cool fact. Making him a bit more comic accurate & hell of lot more imposing & intimidating as Batman.
Imagine this batmobile is in museum coz bataffeck is out... This still hurts me
Me too I want Batfleck back
7:44 so did the tumbler. But bigger jumps
Tumbler was meant to be a jumper and that's it, this is a performance-tank
Naah...neither cars can do ramp-less-jumps in real life. And definitely aren't as durable as a tank either.
also at 7:15, they talk about how it's "real concrete" and they should avoid it to not damage the car etc.
This vehicle has the performance which the tumbler doesn't have, but in compared to looks and style, the tumbler is the coolest batmobile ever...
Nope
The Tumbler can survive jumps that are more than twice as high, it can ram through concrete barriers, and it can smash cars without worrying about the technical components. That's the true performance, if you just want a fast car that can do basic jumps, get a Subaru lol. This Batmobile is a dumbed down version of the Tumbler that's more show than go. I still appreciate it, but it has nothing on the performance of the Tumbler.
@@Real_MisterSir step up actually, this one actually look like a batmobile from the comic
This one drives far better than the Tumbler, actually looks like a Batmobile too. The tumbler doesn’t look like anything Batman would actually drive.
@@Jaythesparrow yea this one look more like the comic
We ALL agree that Tumbler is better
Pedro Cavalcante Santana whos we?
THE WATCHER the people who liked his comment, OOOOHHH
Nope
Tumbler and those movies are miles better than anything else DC have put on film. Have no idea WTF this is 😂
@@muds1123 nah
I would put this imo 4th on my list
The Tumbler
Keaton’s Batmobile
West’s Batmobile
This one in this video
Arkham
Batman 3 Batmobile
The original
ZSJL is gonna ripping!
How are you gonna top the tumb- nevermind.
I'm batman!
Perfect except for the turrets on the front. Batman should never kill or use guns
Watch the film again attentively and it'll solve your problem.
IMO this is the best Batmobile with the most feel of what a batmobile would be. The bale version feels like a golf cart on steroids.
If those wheels were 500lbs how much did the back wheels on the tumbler weigh?
too much for the Snyder's engineering team to handle, that's for sure..
Wasn’t he the guy who built a few fnf cars?
TwistedMetal Match...
TheTumbler Vs. Dawn of Justice BatMobile.
My $'s on TheTumbler.
This is what happens when the ‘89 Batmobile and the Tumbler have sex and produce a kid. Totally bad ass.
Cool, but its no Tumbler...
So ? still doesn't make it bad
I doubt if this would even be fit for driving on road.
ce son t des veritable artiste
I barely remember it in the film.
Well then watch that sequence in BvS again
How tf could people think the tumblr was better than this godlike machine
this machine looks like my son's other toy cars.
It appears on Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad and Justice League, isn't it? Unfortunately, no chance for other next dc movies
Yep and that's sad.
I like the christian bale the bat
tumbler is a real machine,, this is,,, huh
We need Christian Bale back or Skott Adkins as Batman
Should’ve stuck with the tumbler, it is by far THE BEST batmobile
Nope. Tumbler is interpretation. This is batmobile
To each his own, I think IMHO, the Tumbler is by far the best Batmobile since Keaton's Batman. Nothing replaces the original, but its too dated and campy for today's more dark and serious world of Batman.
for me the thumbler is better
The tumbler was a superior build.
Disagree
Def. the coolest Batmobile since 1989's Keaton model, IMO.
Zack talking about character! How ironical!
So uhh
I dont understand why people hating this batmobile
I mean seriously
Y'all loves tumblr ???
And hating this ?
Why ?
Because it looks like a toy car ???
Because the movie sucks ????
@array s This look like a little tank and the movie are a masterpiece ;)
It has nothing to do with Batman, looks-wise. It'll fit in Alien vs. Predator or Halo just fine.
TDK batmobile does more impact and involved to the story, thats way its better
How the Snyder Batmobile doesn't give off the same impact and less involvement to the story than the tumbler in Nolan films ? The batmobile in BvS had impactful moments in it's action sequence and plays a role in the story in that being that Batman needs to go after Lex delivery truck that contains kryptonite rock to retrieve it and weaponize it to kill Superman
it sucks in compare to tumbler
no
Nope it’s more comic book accurate. Tumbler is an interpretation
Suicide Squad movie brought me here!!!.
Least memorable batmobile and batman film yet.
Thank fuck I've already forgotten that pile of shit.
Cool batmobile, but the tumbler is better.
Tumbler is interpretation. This is batmobile
Me ubiera gustado que tuviera subtitulos en español
It looks like a toy car...
Disagree the Batman Forever and Batman & Robin batmobiles look like toy cars
I mean-its nice. But not DARK KNIGHT batmobile Nice
🤦♂️ So ? 🤷♂️
The Tumbler from THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy is the Batmobile because it doesn’t look or resemble a bat, it looks like a realistic military vehicle... it looks “REAL”, keyword “REAL” like it could actually be used in a practical setting
Epic
Epic and amazing
--->>> Tumbler was FAR superior design
LOL No, that tank has no personality, it doesn't represents The Bat
@@TheBlond49No personality? It's literally the most unique and contemporary Batmobile ever made and fits perfectly with the Character of Nolan's Batman. And just the fact that you refer to it as "that tank" is exactly it's character. Everyone knows it as "the tank", and there's never anything you will mistake with the Tumbler. It's the most characterful Batmobile in recent years.
Mediocre. Forgettable. Mostly pixels.
So frustrating to see how this was actually made iRL. Sigh, leave it to Zach Snyder to make practical effects look fake as CGI
instead of arguing whether the tumbler or this is better, let's just lament that all of this development was in service of a terrible mess of a film
I think this bat-mobile complimented the terrible mess of a film just fine.
@@Ishamv3 Disagree this batmobile deserves to be in a better movie like a solo Affleck Batman movie
