Truly warms my heart reading the comments and how many lives my Yeager has touched. Thank you for sharing how he has made a difference in your lives. Hopefully one day his grandkids will read this and see for themselves how many lives Yeager has touched/changed in his lifetime.
I've watched his content for longer than I can remember at this point. It always felt there was an authenticity behind it IMO. My favorite is still the OODA loop video.. I remember it nearly every day.
I discovered James in my mid 20's, at a time when I was coming out of a terrible lifestyle and needed to make some changes but didn't have strong male role models. His strong beliefs, running a successful business, being a family man, a good friend, selflessly helping people and serving his community helped me create a value system of my own. You never know who's on the other end of the words we write or the videos we make. He's a special guy, impacted my life and I only took 3 days worth of classes with him. Watching the way he's handling this latest challenge is a lesson and testament in and of itself. I'm a better person for following him.
This is what I love about you. Gun reviews, no. But your work/advocacy in the self defense community and the work you do with teaching people how to cover their asp is what I love. John, you rock. Love your community spirit. ---Ben

@@Militaryarmschannel I use to think this guy was a real ass. A young former active duty marine friend of mine told me about going to his class. Another class was starting after the one he took. He told me James went to another room and brought in a bunch of ammo and put it down in front of him. James told him his class was paid for, here was his ammo, and he could stay with him. The truth is, no one really knows another person until they know them. Ever since that day, I have had a different opinion of him.

I started binge watching all things related to James Yeager a few years ago when I almost died doing industrial construction. I had multiple surgeries and now 3 years later I'm back to normal more or less and back to getting healthy. It was the fighter mindset that helped me. Me and my daughter learned how to walk together and went through a divorce during that time due to my inability to do anything I suppose. However I'm remarried and have my kid. Hey James, this is Rich out of Myrtle (the dog training guy). While attending classes you took me in as a friend. You are a true Patriot and warrior and I have been honored to have benefited from the deep knowledge you have. If any one has the mindset to kick this in the ass its you.
I've stayed in this man's home and trained with him twice. He has made a difference in my life and how I live it without a doubt! James Yeager is a legend. Much love 🤙
I've never had the opportunity to take a class. I have been watching your channel over 8 years. Even though I never took a class that never stopped you from treating people with such respect. Not sure if you remember me. But years back on your Facebook page you asked, what was something you did for Christmas or something you didn't get for Christmas. I wrote that I had to sell my firearm so my kids could have a great Christmas. And you responded by asking for email. We spoke in email. Through that 1 little encounter with you Mr. Yeager you showed and taught me about the Karma of people doing good deeds. And how to never ruin that and to let people help when you need it. You spoke to me that a warrior never sells his sword. And with the gift you gave me that year I have kept with me, and will never forget the lesson you taught me. Thank you Mr Yeager.
Don't give up, we have a client that has had it (ALS) for more than 5 years and is going strong. We all know you are a fighter, don't go quietly into the night James!
I've taken a few classes in Camden, one of which (Fighting Rifle). There was a gentleman in there, I believe he was a professor at Bethel. Seemed sort of what you might call "out of place" in the class. James was not actually teaching the class, but was around the classroom. The guy was talking about not having a white light, etc.... for his rifle. James gave him a little bit of shit for it, but then he walked to the back and came out with a Surefire - he put it on his gun and told him to keep it. People can talk crap about Yeager all they want. James did that for a man he didn't know and someone that many would have picked on for being different than all the "cool guys" in the room!
Blessings to you on this journey...4.5 years ago a I was on this same journey, testing for both MS and ALS. When it was all said and done, my tests came back normal and it was chalked up to extreme levels of stress and said I was a "functioning stressaholic". I pray you find answers
I’ll just say perhaps it is a rare, random tongue thing James, or non-terminal what ever the hell it is ! We need 25 more years of Tactical Response and kick-ass Yeager! I will see you at more training regardless!
Retired FF paramedic here and I have seen a lot of people in these scenarios and even my brother in the fire service... and I fully believe we are spiritual beings living a physical experience. I've followed James from the beginning and I know the world is a smaller place without him.
Used to, I couldn’t stand Yeager. Now, I love him. He’s put a lot of things into perspective for me, especially about the constitution, our individual freedoms, the importance of the American people and our role in preserving our God given rights against government tyranny, and the power and importance of having a set of balls and saying the hard and uncomfortable things that nobody else wants to say. He truly was paving the road a long time ago. You’re in my prayers James. God Bless. You ain’t going anywhere anytime soon brother.
Without getting specific, I, too have faced similar health monoliths, starting at age 42; Today, at age 68, I am still fighting on. I applaud your approach to facing it on a daily basis. Keep charging ahead and when you hit a wall, crank over a few degrees and go around it, under it or over it. Best wishes.
First time seeing this. My friend Gabe took class with James awhile ago before I knew him and loved it. Gabe told me how much it changed the way he thought about carrying and shooting. I saw there was a road trip to PA in September and Gabe insisted I go to the class. I know it won't be the same without James, but I know you guys are doing a great job carrying on the legacy of James. I wish I could've met him. RIP.
Me. Yeager keep your chin up sir. My wife was diagnosed a few years back with ALS, we went to another doctor and had some test done. Her symptoms were from compressed nerves in her neck. She had surgery and is much better. I truly hope the doctor gives you some good news.
"Your responsibility to be ready for the fight is every fucking day." Straight forward, to the point amd powerful as fuck. Much love James, I hope you get good news soon!
I haven't been online for a while but when I heard that you made a video about how your health is doing, I needed to watch this and comment. I know you said this that and what not about you not wanting people to comment and I totally get that. A long while ago my neurologist told me I was having symptoms of als, but after tests (feel like ya damn lab rat) they showed me that I have 3 tumors. One behind my right eye (which is leading to blindness) another one on the side of my left side of my brain, and a third one that's starting at my brain working its way down my neck towards my chest... and with that one my speech has gone down tremendously. Nerves... you know what I mean. Like you I don't want any pity nor anything alike. I just wanted to let you know you're not alone and will always be highly respected in our family. Enjoy your time and remember you've touched more people in your lifetime than many others ever will. Thank You. God speed sir. It isn't over yet!
I never met you, James. But I've been watching your content for years. Youve put a lot of things in perspective for me and helped so many people in the firearms community. Wishing you all the best, sir. Godspeed.
“Your responsibility to be ready for the fight never ends.” I’ve never taken one of your classes, but I took that message as a daily challenge. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve said that to myself, and I think I’m a better person for it. Your impact goes far beyond your classes. That’s all I’m going to say.
For me it was his view on the all around effort martial arts requires. As a firearm instructor he has showed me to put the stick down and prepare your mind and body for a fight. Legend
My great Uncle passed of this a couple of years ago. Great man. Nam vet (artillery) and preacher in life. Started in his throat and mouth as well. I watched it all happen as it came on while my wife and I (newly weds) were stationed in Virginia. Get involved in the ALS groups and ALS walks. It’s VERY important for your family. I have nothing but respect for you and your fight.
As a healthy 30 something year old, I almost died from covid this year. Found myself on a ventilator. I was surprisingly calm and accepting before going on it, in talking to my wife and giving her further detail and instruction. But it was the thought of leaving my daughter without a father that was hard for me. So, that said. I'll say a prayer and think of your grandkids. Hope I can train with you soon. Godspeed, James.
Be proud of your life. You've been a truly positive influence on countless people. Not many can say that. Unfortunately we don't always have control of some aspects of our lives. I've dodged a bullet, so to say, 3 times in my life including kidney cancer in 2021. All we can do is take what comes at us a minute at a time. Live in the present. I will be praying for you and your family, especially your Grandkids
Prayers for you and your family James. You have no idea how much you've taught me and how much it's appreciated. I have faith it will take more than that to stop you. Fight like hell brother you have an army right behind you.
Thank You Sir . For all the years of teaching. The first time I stumbled onto your channel, I knew it was something special. Your teaching have been my foundation to my preparation. Thank you for my new life , my friend, my brother . Sincerely: Jhon Garza , Jr

james was one of the first gun people on youtube i came across when i was 13 years old. i’ll be 25 in may. James absolutely set me on the right path in this lifestyle. Thank you.
You’re the reason I am who I am in my personal life and professional life. I shook your hand at the MI booth at shot show in 2016 and took fighting pistol a few years before that which was my first training course. Now I’m an instructor and I teach in AZ and CO. Who knows how many hundreds or thousands of other people are out there just like me. Keep doing what you do and rock on, James.
I went through this scare about 2 years ago. The whole body wide twitching is a good sign for you and might be BFS (benging fasiculation syndrom) which can cause perceived weakness and perceived bulbuar weakness. Anxiety can make the twitches and symptoms worse. Typically clinical weakness is the first sign of true ALS and the 2 nerous i saw both confirmed they had never seen or diagnosed a case of ALS that presented with full body twitches. It starts in one area then works its way through the body not every muscle group at the same time. super scary to go through even with a mask of steel I can tell you're mentally ravaged by it. If it hasn't progressed to clinical weakness in the past year then your prognosis is looking pretty good. Best of luck on your next EMG. Ask specially if he can do a bulbular EMG since that's your main symptom right now. I've had twitches constantly for the last 2 years but have finally been able to put the concern past me and hopefully you'll get there too. If not sounds like you have the right mindset. We don't get to choose our time.
Same story with me .. they say its probably BFS .. Started suddenly and has been off and on twitches allover my body for 3 years. no weakness thankfully . I find stress and lack of sleep or quality of sleep make it worse .. going on a CPAP may have helped me a bit .. I think some foods may be triggers too.
Gluten sensitivity causes muscle fasciculations on me, and several other undesired symptoms which mimic other diseases. Going 100% gluten free is the only way I can live with sanity now, it sucks, but it’s possible many are diagnosed incorrectly when it’s autoimmunity triggered by food.
A "clean" EMG a year after the initial manifestation of symptoms is the gold standard to rule out motor neuron disease. Hopefully James gets a positive prognosis after his next EMG. A differential diagnosis for his symptoms can be MS or Myasthenia Gravis....both of which are less severe.
You have a fighter's mindset, I have dealt with terminal illness my entire life and seeing how you face your challenges head on is inspiring. You are a role model James. I hope for the best for you. Just know that no matter what happens you will live on through the people you inspired.
I’ll be praying for you man, I’ve been following your channel for almost a decade, and your information has helped in my decisions for choosing my concealed carry and rifle choices, minus your opinions on 1911’s as I have a Ruger SR-1911 and absolutely love it, the only part of it that’s ever failed was me. I will keep you in my prayers, even though you’re asking not to, sorry, it’s a major of who I am. I don’t know you personally, but I wish I did. Just know that you have had impact on an industry, and thousands of lives. Thank you for all you’ve done, and all you are going to do. Thank you.
I can’t do as you ask in terms of praying for you. I believe in the power of prayer and you’ll have a ton of people praying for you! Stay positive brother!

Get your ass to class
The fact you can be strong and positive in the face of this stuff is a testament to your character and should be an inspiration to us all.
We all are dying, all at different rates, but not all have lived. Praying for you and your family James. Peace.
Don't give up, we have a client that has had it (ALS) for more than 5 years and is going strong. We all know you are a fighter, don't go quietly into the night James!
RIP JY.... You've done more than most in a lifetime....Most of which was valued by many surrounding you.
Same here
Prayers sent. True warrior. Can't wait to shake your hand. Best wishes
👊
Without getting specific, I, too have faced similar health monoliths, starting at age 42; Today, at age 68, I am still fighting on. I applaud your approach to facing it on a daily basis. Keep charging ahead and when you hit a wall, crank over a few degrees and go around it, under it or over it. Best wishes.
RIP! Watched many of your videos. Thank you for your contribution to the shooting community.
Strength in the face of adversity--good lesson, Mr. Yeager.
I’m so sorry to hear about this. You’re the reason I started training. Prayers for you and yours.
"Your responsibility to be ready for the fight is every fucking day." Straight forward, to the point amd powerful as fuck. Much love James, I hope you get good news soon!
I look back fondly at my first two classes with tactical response in 2006 fighting pistol and rifle. RIP.
I've learned a ton from your video s over the years. I'd say our generation s Clint Smith. Thanks for all you do.
What drugs did they give you?
Prayers for you James and Family.
“The goal isn’t to live forever, it is to create something that will” I believe your legacy is something that will live forever
We will all be lost to history at some point. Some of us will ride it longer than others.
Heaven got a good one... Rest in peace brother
Rest In Paradise brother.
Very sorry to hear the news. Wishing the best for you, your family and your team.
Man Idk how I'm just now seeing this in my feed but regardless I'm a member and appreciate you and the knowledge you have shared. Take care brother 👊
Rest in Peace, Valiant Warrior.
Damn, praying for you James.
This man spoke like the SOLDIER we’ve known him to be over the years. Much Respect
Thank You Sir . For all the years of teaching. The first time I stumbled onto your channel, I knew it was something special. Your teaching have been my foundation to my preparation. Thank you for my new life , my friend, my brother .
Sincerely:
Jhon Garza , Jr
You are very welcome
I sure miss watching James’s videos. He was such a treasure for firearms and 2A supporters.
so sorry to hear about this! You were a class act and RIP James
I’m was all pissy this morning because my flight home was canceled. This just calmed me the fuck down and dropped a gratitude bomb on my ass. Sir you teach a lot more than you may realize. Thank you.
james was one of the first gun people on youtube i came across when i was 13 years old. i’ll be 25 in may. James absolutely set me on the right path in this lifestyle. Thank you.
“You thought 2020 was a shit year for you, I found out I might be dying” lol damn man. I hope everything works out.
RIP James. My Father died from ALS. To the family, I'm so sorry, Peace and Love to you all.
RIP Brother.
Salute James for keeping your sense of humor through all of this.
Legit message, Dude. Thank you for sharing… hope to see you soon. 👍🏼
Rest in peace
I’m goin through same stuff with the twitching tingling all over my body even in my cheek
Pray all you want...just not in front of me.
Copy that
RIP James. We will certainly miss you. God Speed brother. Thank you for all you’ve done.
I've been watching your channel for what seems like a life-time...you are STILL a tough as steel, bad ass dude! Definitely not coward. A True pioneer in the 2A community and an inspiration to me as well as others. Keep that fire alive brother. You keep fighting the good fight we will keep "preparing for the fight" as you have instructed so many of us both in person and through this platform. I've learned tons just by watching your videos. Been working on taking a class just never seems to come together for me. Anyway, God Bless you and everything you continue to do with what ever amount of time you have left. Much Respect Sir. *Salute*
There is only one James Yeager. Thank you for all that you’ve contributed to the 2A community. Way to stay in the fight, wish you nothing but the best.
Thoughts be with you and your family. Take care of yourself with diet, exercise, and sound medical care and have faith.
This breaks my fucking heart! I’ve heard so many stories on how good of a man You are James and it sucks seeing you have to go through this.Sorry man,I can’t help what my heart feels.I know one thing,if anybody is tough enough and is as strong willed to beat this it’s you my brother! You have escaped deaths grasp on many occasions in your life…Keep fucking doing it! Much love and respect from Missouri
R.I.P. James. Thank you for everything you've shared with us. " All handguns should be Glocks. All Glocks should be Glock 19's."👍❤
Rest in Peace James. Never got to meet you but have heard so many great things from others.
I refuse to believe this will get the best of James yeager....true warrior u are and u will win this war!!!
You're a good dude, continue to live your life and make memories with your loved ones. You're doing it right and handling things in an honorable manner. As you said, it's not a certainty.
Darn, Very sorry to see this James. Scary stuff. I really hope it turns out it not being ALS.
Darn, you got me in the gut with this one. Fight everyday like I know you will.
Glad I came across your videos before everything happened. I still run my AR without the stock all the way extended since your video on the subject. Very helpful and experienced man. RIP Good Sir
You got me into firearms when I was 15. I am 25 now. You've had a huge impact on my life. God speed James.
You are a warrior brother James. Thank you for letting us know.
Praying for you sir.
Hey James I just saw this video (today). Praying for you. I thank you for what you have shared over the years. You have impacted the lives of thousands of others. Showing people how to effectively protect their families (in these crazy time) is a wonderful gift. Thanks for sharing.
Tal
I love the attitude man. I got shot in 2008 and have a high level SCI as a result, and it drives me nuts to be the recipient of unsolicited pity. Keep fighting brother
