Thursday Blues Special - Changing of the guard celebration "btwn" Gus & Kathy 7-18-24 8th Final Set

The good news is that GFY Bar & Grill will continue under a beautiful and well deserved ownership. Gus Uguccioni has brought this place up as a hot spot for a mix of musical bands from Western NY for 13 wonderful years. And has been awarded multiple "Best Blues Club" in Buffalo. The new owner Kathy Penksa, which has for years already been our bartender, so this sweet exchange will be very smooth, and to help out in this great night, it was filled with a much bigger of the "Who's of Who's" musicians & singers walking in throughout the evening, and including two resent "Buffalo Music Hall of Fame" inductees Donna Rose & Joe Zappo! Will try to tag everyone that are in each of the videos. Thank you to all that made this night Gus's best 2nd retirement. And the best gift he got from us, was all the love we have for him!

Our host for this gathering every Thursday Blues Jam (7-10), is Tom Rauen (harp), and the normal band headliners are Paul Iannello (guitar), Dan Shurtleff (drums), Joe Dimino (bass), and Jim Beishline (piano, and for which he's played with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Muddy Waters just to name a few)...and myself, Ron Globe (LP Torpedo Shaker).
And after the first 1 hour open, we invite any of those of our local very talented musicians and singers that happen to stop in, and each week brings changes of who's here, and also anyone is welcome to step up to the plate!
