I wish I could reply to every single comment ! This video was spectacular ! The arrangement amazing ! Their voice … breathtaking ! I’m hoping this wins them their 5th Grammy ! (Hopefully Amazing Grace gets them their 4th! The Prayer isn’t eligible until 2023 Grammys)

This is definitely Grammy worthy I agree! Hey Travis, do you have TikTok? They did a short post where they just sang a part of it to the camera and it is so good. Plus their other TikToks are hilarious as are Scott's from his! They really make me laugh.

“What did I just watch? What did I just listen to?”.. in my humble opinion, we have all just watched the Pentatonix 4th Grammy! Yes?.
Let hope it’s a higher number than that. They recently put forth songs and albums in 6 different categories for Grammy consideration for the next Grammys in 2022. This song and album would have to be out for the Grammys in 2023 since it didn’t make the cut off for the current upcoming Grammys.
I darn sure hope so, if that doesn’t deserve one, what does???
I was wondering if this could be in the next Grammy or if it's to late. They will win ALL the awards with this one. They will definitely win with this one

Scott and Mitch are always an eargasm. It shouldn’t work since their tones are so different but somehow it always does. They make magic together when they sing. I feel like they were meant to meet at 10 years old so they could grow up singing together. We’re the lucky ones who get to be around to experience them and the rest of Pentatonix in real time. They’re all such a gift to music.

I've watched every reaction video so far, and the number of people who stop the video after Scott's second line (Nel cuore resterà) is amazing. The chest voice that you almost never hear from Scott is amazing. And Mitch is incredible. He has no break between his low and high registers. He handles the transitions better than Celine Dion. This is a mature Pentatonix and it is truly spectacular. And your reaction after the key change is one that has been repeated over and over again -- in the exact same words. Which is remarkable they can trigger the exact same response from different people.
Scott's chest voice is so beautiful, I can't believe we don't hear more of it.💗
Wel, that's just it. I don't see the stops about the Italian. I can't speak about the chest voice but hearing a Texas boy from Arlington sing--beautifully-- in Italian kinda caught my attention.
Kirstie's voice has definitely grown by leaps and bounds, but I noticed the biggest difference after she was on Broadway in Kinky Boots. I don't know if she learned about different ways to utilize her voice from that experience, but her range expanded and her tones became clearer and stronger and there was just this overall power that she harnessed and went to another level with. I'm so glad she's been getting more solos in their newer stuff and gets to show off all that growth.
Plus she’s still years from her vocal maturity, so she will continue to get better and better ❤️
1000% agree, her growth after Kinky Boots was phenomenal, she’s always been amazing but she was next level after that
Her growth has a lot to do also with her confidence, singing with these group of people she calls her family and that are this amazing generational talents, it gave her a ton of confidence, knowing she was also part of the immense talent they posses. She has mentioned it a couple times how in the beginning she was very shy and afraid to get solos because her confidence was just not there, but now? Damn! She has worked so hard to improve and has so much confidence in her capability and her voice is beautiful to witness the progression of an artist this talented. Same with the rest of them, they just keep sounding better and better expanding their capabilities and their limits.
I think the pandemic gave Kirstie time to get some private voice lessons over the internet and practice what she learned.
To me Kirstie rivals Idina Menzel in this performance. The power, the emotion is phenomenal. Even that is an understatement!
This is breathtaking. The best vocals I have ever heard. The arrangement is also one of their best. The back & forth between Mitch and Scott, the background harmonies, Kirstin's belting, Kevin's effects, Matt's deep warm bass. Everything is perfect. I cannot wait to see this live in December. Thanks for another great reaction Travis! ❤️💚

Transcendant, aren’t they? All of them! Mitch soaring straight up to heaven with those angelic vocals. It’s easy to forget that Scott is actually a proper baritone, right? He spends so much time in that pop-singer space, and then here he comes with that gorgeous bel canto part, and yup! There’s that operatic baritone. Amazing.
And in Italian to boot!

Agree 100% with your comments. The first half was pretty similar to AGT but still topped it somehow. The second half left me speechless. As much as this was the Scott and Mitch show, I cannot get over how strong Kirstie was in this. Finally the powerhouse she was always meant to be.
The other thing I've been geeking out about as I've re-watched this on repeat for the last 3 days is the structure. It was only on about my 20th re-watch that I noticed they structured this as a series of duets, because the original is usually sung as a duet. Mitch takes the first verse solo for a gentle start, then Scott/Mitch in the second verse, Scott/Kirstie in the third verse/bridge, then Kirstie/Mitch in the fourth, and finally back to Scott/Mitch in the last verse, at least until the final chords. Pretty sure they've never done that before. It's so beautiful and genius!
This was what I was going to comment on, and the fact that it took you a few watches to register, shows how seamless it was. It's as if they are one person. There's certainly a deep connection there, with all five of them now.
It is a masterpiece that should earn them their 4th Grammy. So good. Loved your reaction.

Thank you for the Kirstie shout-out. Mitch's performance on this is getting a lot of deserved credit amongst the reactions I've watched because he sounds beautiful, and Scott's decision to suddenly become an opera singer is utterly glorious, but when I knew they were doing this song, I wanted Kirstie on those final vocals and I got it. Her voice punches me right in the heart. This arrangement is astonishing and I don't know how this group consistently manages to astound me when I should be well-accustomed to their talent by now!

In the last couple of years Kirstie has grown in confidence and it’s reflected in her performances.
I LOVED the look on your face when Scott started to sing. That is exactly how I felt. I was stunned. I think that is the BEST I have ever heard him. I just melted. We were both SCOTT SLAPPED. It's like they all embraced their gifts and let it all go in this one song. I loved the familiar feeling of the SuperFruit connection with Scott and Mitch and how, as a duo, they compliment each other so well. Then the Trio of Scott Mitch and Kirsten like ringing bells, the kind you hear when angels get their wings. The support they get from Kevin and Matt allows them to reach heights and elicit emotions not many singers can. I just melted from the warmth of their voices.

Yes!!! This was STUNNING!! The most beautiful PTX has ever sounded and they've had some amazing songs before but for me this takes the top spot easily. Just think you're gonna get to hear/see them sing this live oh my gosh thats gonna be amazing!

for me, nothing can top the original with Celine and Andrea....BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT this version is another version into itself. like, MY GOODNESS!!!! INSTANT TEARS!!!!! Mitch and Scott's wonderfulness is a given, but Kirstie's notes were full and sweet and fantastic. And Kevin's prowess is so often overlooked, but he makes us forget there aren't any instruments. Then Matt providing the foundation... Wowza.
This is absolutely beautiful, I love all their Christmas stuff, out of all the A capella groups Pentatonix is the best in my opinion, the others are not even close to Pentatonix league.
Agree. The other groups are good but don’t come close to the level of this genius group. They’re just still so innovative after all these years. Always giving us better and better than before even though they were so good from the start. Ptx vol 1 and PtxMas are still good to this day.

Hey Travis! This could be the most beautiful, eargasmic piece of music I have ever heard! Mitch and Scott: wow! Just wow! Then Kirstie comes in and steals the show! The backing vocals are insane and Matt and Kevin, I see you too. Both are present all the way through and sound better than ever. About the 5-part harmonies, I can only say if angels sound half as good as this than, then I (and everyone who’s going where I am) have a lot to look forward to. For all eternity!

Once again PTX delivers a masterful performance! Not only with their voices, but the video is absolutely stunning. PTX has always had that extra talent of letting their voices be the focus, not intricate and elaborate videos unless that is what is appropriate for the song, like Love Again or Daft Punk. Personally, my favorite part is when they had the sun break through and was shining on them.

I remember first hearing this song on a little known movie called "Quest For Camelot" performed by Celine Dion alone. I am so happy that the song has slowly gained popularity through the many gorgeous renditions over the years, but this one beats them all. Truly, I am floored!!!

This entire thing was a masterpiece from the visuals and lighting to the exquisite singing. And as much as I'm usually a sucker for Mitch (and yes, he was angelic in this, of course!), Scott's Italian just stole the show for me. The whole thing was spectacular. I would love to see this up for a Grammy when it's eligible.

Kirstin has grown considerably during the last 10 years. Scott, Mitch, and Matt all had voice lessons as kids. At one point Kirstin said that she did not. I believe she has been taking them. She is doing the soaring notes that she did not do earlier. (Is that the word for it?)
She has also been doing various forms of physical training which appears to have helped her to stay healthy instead of getting sick frequently like she did in the early years. I admire her focus and dedication.

This is their best song yet so far. Absolutely breathtaking. My favorite Christmas song of theirs are Noel, Mary, Did You Know, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, 12 Days of Christmas, The Grinch, and Thank You.
On AGT they were holding back because of the young one that they were singing with. They understood that it was about her in that moment and not them. That is another one of the characteristics outside of their talent that makes them so lovable as a group.

I have heard others do this song and they were amazing but this was breathtaking and I've listened over and over and can't get enough. Every one of the members of Pentatonix is soooo talented and do soooo much with their gift. I hope they never stop finding new songs to make fantastic. I am in awe of their talent. I was in awe as each member did what they do best (make beautiful music with their beautiful gift) and the more times I listened, the more I noticed each individual talent. You are ALL amazing. I'm glad I happened to be listening with my teenage girls one day and heard beautiful harmony from a group of singers called "Pentatonix". I have heard and loved them and am still amazed by them. Thank you Pentatonix for sharing your gifts.
