That wrought iron is so beautiful! The donkey was just helping you to give that Western Cowboy 🤠 atmosphere! Sweet Molly Malone 🎶 Whoa!! 😮 that Cross!Huge cross!! Beautiful family crest. Can you imagine what it took to build all of those amazing things. Thank you, GV what a diamond of a place! 💚💚
What an ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING place!! The Malones sound like a VERY influential family!! I wonder whether there are any Malones left in the area?! My late dad loved John Wayne movies!! That donkey was saying "Hi GV!! Can I have your autograph?!"🐴🤣❤ Well done, Cathal!! This was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! XXXX ❤💞👍💕🤗
Great video love the history of this place very interesting. Donkey was so funny too loved it. Thanks for sharing and have wonderful night stay blessed
It’s beautiful so serene ty.John Wayne was a good friend of my grandfather. Also an actor who were friends with my grandparents Mike Murzurki. John Wayne and Mike were in a lot of film’s together.
😂 hey that donkey adds to the cowboy theme. That saying is the clan motto I think. Yes it's the Malone clan motto which means faithful until the tomb. Great video guys loved it❤ a most interesting graveyard. And that mausoleum just stunning! 🤗 bless you GV & sue
Hi GV just viewed your post. Nice picture of John Wayne. Nice graveyard, really nice engraving on the headstones . Nice mosalium, not keen on green doors, like the plague. Nice video GV
Hi GV iv just subscribed. It was quite good when the donkey neighed because it was on cue as you were talking about he rides away and with John Wayne on the gentleman headstone so strange but good 😮❤❤❤❤ love from Wales
The donkey had me in stitches GV! All those Celtic Crosses in one spot made my day, and the mausoleum is magnificent. Thank you. Take care, Deb of Oz XXX
That was one sturdy masoleum for the Malones. Love the wrought iron all the way around, with the green door it makes it very distinguished. But, also the wrought iron encasing all the rest of the Malones really stands out too! That is incredible that it has all that additional wrought iron standing out AND it is still standing! Lovely grave stones and the graveyard is very well kept. Thank you for the wonderful walk-about. Erin go Bragh! ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
You are quite correct - it's not all about wealth as we ALL end up the same ! Thanks for another lovely tour round a peaceful Irish Graveyard. Take care 🙂
The only word that comes to mind is AWESOME! The church, the mausoleum, the graveyard, the grounds in general, just AWESOME! Everything seems to be in good condition, except the grass in that one section needs to be mowed. I am guessing that the church is still in use. Great video GV, thank you very much for sharing. Have a great day. 😊
My daughter just got back from Galway. The pictures and videos are astonishing. This is amazing. Living in the states, we’re actually quite young compared to this. Hopefully we learn how to respect our history and the generations left behind like this. 🇮🇪♥️🇮🇪 Yes, yes I’m jealous. I admit it. ;)
Westerns are NOT wonderful if you are indegenous or black or Chinese or from Mexico... westerns are quite racist actually. But those were the times back in the 1950's. Times have changed for the better of human nature.
Very interesting! Beautiful images. I need to go to Ireland. Donkey was hilarious. And I need to say I love Sinead O’Connar’s voice she didn’t have an easy life. Her voice was so pure. Apparently some people dislike her!
Beautriful ironwork in the Malone plot. Absolutely beautiful. I love hearing the donkey. He was just wondering what you were doing. Sometimes you find a lot of different animals wandering around cemeteries. Thank you for posting, GV and Sue. I enjoy all your videos.
Huge monument, very impressive which I am sure was the intent at the time. Funny to see a picture of John Wayne there and loved the donkey getting his 2 cents in. Thanks GV
Wow what an impressive mausoleum surrounded by the beautiful railings. Another interesting video GV, thank you 👍. The donkey made me lol, I thought I was hearing things until you acknowledged it 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Cathal Mark West Bend Wisconsin really beautiful Mausoleum nd the Celtic cross very nice clean cemetery is church still in use do you know the church is beautiful too
Always fascinating! There must have been a lot of excellent sculptors and carvers ! Thank you for sharing these. Did you ever feel that you were being watched or weren't alone in these situations? You are far braver than I am!
The church looks to be quite old. I assume that this is in Eire not in Northern Ireland. My ancestors are buried in both England and in Eire. It is no surprise that my mothers family is Catholic, but my father's family is also Catholic, even though they were English. I live in the USA. I think that it is wonderful how old many gravesites are in the UK and Eire. Here any grave older than 1800 is rather scarce. Thanks for this video.
Lol, I live in Arizona. Go to Tombstone for grins quite a bit. The cemetary residents were supposedly moved many times, with just the tombstones remaining. Now you have to pay to get into where it supposedly is. ( Progress don't ya know)Nope, not even in a part of town I remember. However, stopped into the local Family Dollar that was not there a few years ago. The people who work there say the store is over the original location and that it's haunted. Lol, they told me they have displays toppled, bags of dog food ripped open, and can hear boots walking about. Even the wild west isn't anymore. If you're dead, even famously, your ass is getting moved for a Family Dollar, dammit!😂
#Grave Visitations Hello from down under. I was watching you tour this cemetery and when you came to the Malone Mausoleum it said "FIDELIS AD URNAM" it's Latin and it means "FAITHFUL UNTIL THE TOMB" I thought that was a bit creepy. Maybe that's why Elizabeth Malone was only married for 3 years and I'm wondering if she is the Elizabeth Molloy I've been searching for ?
@@GraveVisitations the Elizabeth I've been searching for was murdered and I thought that was a short marriage of 3 years, so now I'll do a bit of digging to see if I can find out more. Thank you for another interesting tour. 🙏
The Church of Ireland identifies itself as both Catholic and Protestant. It considers itself Protestant because it stemmed from the Anglican Church in England and because it does not recognize the authority of the Catholic Pope.
I wish we had seen the donkey 🫏 that cemetery did it belong to the malone family at some time as there’s a lot of them buried there is the house that they lived in still standing?
Such a monument to ego, which of course is common with the people who subscribe to high status and wealth in this life. I see it as a waste of energy, not relevant for concerns, experiences on eternity road.

09:15 "Fidelus Ad Urnam" means 'Faithful to the tomb' I went and looked it up. Also, what was that stuff hanging from the top of the door.
The drippy stuff? Minerals? Slime mold mucusy stuff? Bacteria plaque? I prefer minerals. Like in a cave.
Awesome❤
Great video and it is " donkey tested and donkey approved ".
😂 👍
You can't take it with you but you can take a good piece of it. Can you imagine what that mausoleum cost? 😉

My first husband was a Malone, and his family claimed to be Irish, wonder if they were and a relative of this Malone? Who knows? 🤷♀️🤷♀️
👍🏼
That was a beautiful gate/fencing. I take it all the Churches of Ireland are Protestant?

Where's Dorothy Malone?
