It's a different world today, music like this was a standard years ago. Today everyone is returning to songs that we thought were good, but never believed they would stop making them.
Thank you for going back to Billy Joel from the pre MTV era. The Stranger, Stiletto, You May Be Right, All For Leyna, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, Still Rock And Roll To Me, Big Shot.
This is absolutely one of my top favourite Billy songs - along with The Longest Time - and She's Always a Woman to Me. You would love BOTH of them. Would love to hear your reaction. Cheers from Ontario! :)
One of the Great singer song writers he's always a good listen. Billy Joel's two years older than myself. Nice to see younger folks reaching back and joining the older folks who have traveled through those years and experiences. Thanks for sparking the memories!!
This man is the best singer, musician, songwriter America has ever produced. You have no idea how deep this library goes. Seriously no idea. Enjoy the journey.
He has been married multiple times and has had his share is his view of honesty. Truly, the entertainment industry is “plastic” and being in that world depicts his experiences. Another banger for Billy Joel.
Billy's lyrics should be in a book of poetry. I'm sure he's got lyrics he's had for years. This man's words touch my heart in every way ❤ Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️
GOOD NIGHT SAIGON! Excellent and moving song dedicated to the Viet Nam vets. Someone has linked the official video below--Billy Joel used to bring vets up on stage with him to sing this song.
It is a great song but might not even be the best song on The Stranger album. Scenes From an Italian Restaurant is epic and Phil and Sam have reacted to it previously on their channel.
52nd Street in 1978, the album that this song comes from was the first ever commercial mass-produced CD. And Billy's best vocals in my view all come from the same An Innocent Man album a few years later in 1983, those being the title track An Innocent Man, Leave a Tender Moment Alone and This Night.
This song was actually written in the recording studio. The band had reserved time in the recording studio and had nothing to record. Billy wrote the song so they had something to record. He wrote the music and words to all his songs.
Somewhere on the internet, I came across an article where Paul Simon was very critical about Billy's lyrics writing......I found that very hard to swallow.
In my opinion, one of Billy's best and most brutally honest songs from a brilliant song writer, yet so few reactors have discovered this gem! Kudos to both of you for reacting to this classic! You are single handedly making people rediscover One of the very best!
Great Reaction. I really like this song, it gets overlooked so much. It was not a hit song, but I still like it. BTW Billy Joe had 3 Greatest Hits Albums, and this song was not on any of those albums. To sad.
Thanks so much for your reactions to all Billy Joel songs, who I have loved seeing live, in concert and really recommend, ' An Innocent Man'' for more great vocal ability, plus I love ' Goodnight Saigon' and 'Just the way you are.' Thanks again, for your great choices. D 😊
Favorite - River of Dreams. Then there are so many to choose from like Keeping the Faith, It's Still Rock n Roll To Me, and the first song I remember hearing from Billy Joel Only the Good Die Young.
This one is wonderful. My absolute favorite from Billy Joel is "Just the way you are." There have been a few renditions with the words & melody. I grew up listening to so much music thanks to my parents. Billy Joel has a wonderful sound in all of his music. He is packed with soul.❤
Have ALWAYS LOVED the lyrics to this tune!! BILLY JOEL is THE STUFF, MAN!! SO MANY great songs - and, each seems to have it's own uniqueness!! ENJOY, YA'LL!!!
Amazing that even today, half of the things we hear are true. Honesty & accountability are words being forgotten even though they're both so highly important,
So very talented. I have probably spent more on his albums than other artists. 'Piano Man' is definitely within my top 10 songs of all time but my favorite one of his is 'Scenes from an Italian Restaurant' (simply a masterpiece). Plus I would sing this song here out LOUD...and yes, I can carry a tune, but NOTHING like Billy.
This song comes from his 52nd St album. Another great song from this album is Zanzibar. For me The Stranger and 52nd St are my favorite albums of Billy's.
What I love about Billy Joel is his eclectic nature He can be soulful, romantic, intensly rockin', or irreverent, depending on what mood you're looking for Add to that, he's not only a singer/songwriter, but a full fledged composer, often writing the music for multiple instruments and arrangements 2 of my favorites fall into the irreverent category with The Entertainer, and New York 2019 (I've seen the lights go out on Broadway)
BIG MAN ON MULBERRY ST. Live from Russia. Or ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG live in Boston. ANGRY YOUNG MAN live in TOKYO 2006. And Billy just released his 1st single in 30 yrs! TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON. Official video, not lyrical. You 2 are too cute together for words. Love watching your reactions ❤
Love Billy Joel and all his songs… a comedian once said “I’ll have to say for a song called Piano Man that $&$$ guy playing the harmonica wouldn’t shut up haha😂😅😊 Thanks guys for all the great reactions as always!!!
For a couple of great movie-like videos, go with "River of Dreams" and "Keeping the Faith"..."Innocent Man" has fantastic lyrics, as does "Leave a Tender Moment Alone"..."You May Be Right" (studio version) is just great rock 'n' roll ~
Saw Billy in concert in December. The only concert I have ever been to where I wanted to turn around and go back and see/hear him again! Absolutely brilliant
I loved and sang along with this song when I purchased the album back in 1978.By many fans the song is considered a bit cheesy though I would say among the finest cheese!😊You might want to consider reacting to some of Billy’s early tunes like Summer Highland Falls, or Miami 2017!
Such a great songwriter....a couple that he wrote that I love about local industry issues are Down Easter Alexa (local fishermen) and Allentown (I think a local factory) both worth a listen!!!
One of the great slow ones! ❤ I like Movin’ Out (Anthony’s song) and Only the Good Die Young. River of Dreams, Allentown, “AND SO IT GOES” is one of his best, I think. ❤❤
He can still sing quite well. His voice is a little lower now but still quite strong. Take a listen to the song "Turn the Lights Back On" that he released last year.
A really great one from Billy is titled "Until The Night". Please listen to that one. Not one of his more famous one's, definitely one of his great one's.
It's a different world today, music like this was a standard years ago. Today everyone is returning to songs that we thought were good, but never believed they would stop making them.
You've captured it Exactly, my friend!!
An Innocent Man.
It's Still Rock And Roll To Me.
Only The Good Die Young.
My favorites.
So incredibly talented. Not a bad song.
Def Only the Good Die Young!!❤❤
The Longest Time is a blast.
“Only the Good Die Young” was a teen anthem at the time. ❤
Billy is one of the best singer songwriters of the 20th century. He's in my top 5.
My top 1
y tecladista .... no olvides eso ...la maravillosa trilogia, escribe-canta-interpreta y toca ese piano maravilloso...
@@pedrogutierrez-rr2ro You're correct! He's a triple threat!
At 7:20 billy combines the two words ‘upon’ and ‘honesty’ into one - ‘UPONESTY’ so seamlessly, not many can do that! Absolutely brilliant!!
"Only The Good Die Young" is a Billy Joel favorite.
you must be Exhausted from the stormy trial today how do you find time to watch Videos ?🤣🤣🤣
@@markvanderstelt8999 Most of the trial I shut my eyes and dream of the next crime to commit.
Honesty is the rarest wealth anyone can possess.
One of the best writers and songsters since the 70s. Every one has a story. Great reaction ! Highly recommend "Moving Out"...a banger
My favorite Billy Joel song along with Anthony's Song (Movin' Out).
Thank you for going back to Billy Joel from the pre MTV era. The Stranger, Stiletto, You May Be Right, All For Leyna, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, Still Rock And Roll To Me, Big Shot.
"River of dreams" by Billy Joel. Soulful!
How could i forget this song. One of my all time fav. 🎉
The whole 52nd st album is fire
You haven’t even scratched the surface of his catalog. I recommend you do reactions to “the stranger” , “pressure“, “stiletto“ 🕊❤️🎼
Oh yes! Add Vienna (if they haven't heard that one).
ALL great ones!! LOVE PRESSURE!!!
This is absolutely one of my top favourite Billy songs - along with The Longest Time - and She's Always a Woman to Me. You would love BOTH of them. Would love to hear your reaction. Cheers from Ontario! :)
My favorite Billy Joel song, so heartfelt.
Please do ‘And So It Goes’. Billy himself is on record saying it is his best composed song. It is short yet magical!
One of the Great singer song writers he's always a good listen. Billy Joel's two years older than myself. Nice to see younger folks reaching back and joining the older folks who have traveled through those years and experiences. Thanks for sparking the memories!!
Such an incredible vocal. One of my favorites.
Another banger for Billy Joel.
not just the Entertainment Industry So many Regular people have been Divorced Multiple times these days.
River of dreams and Leave a tender moment alone are great songs by him.
River of Dreams...yes !
Until the Night. One of his best emotionally felt songs. A must.
Great reaction! Here's a couple must to hear Billy Joel songs:
The Stranger
Vienna
Only the Good Die Young
Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)
Captain Jack
Billy's lyrics should be in a book of poetry. I'm sure he's got lyrics he's had for years. This man's words touch my heart in every way ❤ Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️
Quite possibly the real king of pop. So frickn talented. Endless catalog. He and Elton John toured together…..WOW 🤯
Was at their concert in Dublin Ireland seated second row behind Billys piano. Amazing gig, had seen Billy alone twice before.
😍😍😍
“I don’t want some pretty face to tell me pretty lies…”
Love that lyric.
Yeah, one of my favs
Goodnight Saigon... yet another totally different Billy Joel experience.
Billy Joel
A Matter Of Trust
Just The Way You Are, Zanzibar, or Stiletto. Oh, and The Stranger, Until the Night, Big Shot, etc. The list keeps going on.
GOOD NIGHT SAIGON! Excellent and moving song dedicated to the Viet Nam vets. Someone has linked the official video below--Billy Joel used to bring vets up on stage with him to sing this song.
"Just the Way you "are might be his greatest song ever!!!
It is a great song but might not even be the best song on The Stranger album.
Scenes From an Italian Restaurant is epic and Phil and Sam have reacted to it previously on their channel.
One of the greatest performers of all time really. Lots of great songs.
Proprio così Pisno Man ha solo gioielli nel suo repertorio... Ma vocalmente queste tre sono il suo meglio del meglio come performance vocale 👏👏👏👏
I don't think he's ever written a bad song, such a talented, talented guy. All About Soul is my personal favourite, love it❤️
So good!!! Another kind of bluesy ballad by him is New York State Of Mind. It's one of my favorites by him.
My other favorites are River of Dreams and NY state of mind.
You have so soooo much Billy Joel to listen to!!! Yay!!! 😊❤😊❤
This song was actually written in the recording studio. The band had reserved time in the recording studio and had nothing to record. Billy wrote the song so they had something to record. He wrote the music and words to all his songs.
You guys just need to give up and jump down that rabbit hole…❤ There’s no bad song. And everyone loves Billy Joel.😊❤
Totally true. I think you’d have to search long and hard to find something less than great, even just mediocre, let alone bad.
Yeah, listening to him is like being in a bar, or a lounge, and listening to him and his piano. He's really is the piano man.
One of my favorites from Billy Joel is "An Innocent Man"
Billy Joel’s songwriting is next to none!💖
Somewhere on the internet, I came across an article where Paul Simon was very critical about Billy's lyrics writing......I found that very hard to swallow.
Yes, one of the best vocal performances of all time. Couldn't have been done better.
Billy Joel's music was the soundtrack to my youth. Been a fan for over 40 yrs. Great reaction ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Peace, Love!! Waiting for some others...especially It's Still Rock & Roll to Me! You'll hear some more instruments in that one.
If you want to see even another side then “Big Shot” is really good.
In my opinion, one of Billy's best and most brutally honest songs from a brilliant song writer, yet so few reactors have discovered this gem! Kudos to both of you for reacting to this classic! You are single handedly making people rediscover One of the very best!
Listen to "She's Always a woman" excellent song.
Wait till you see him sing this live... hope you listen to Longest Time next. Thank you
Favorite - River of Dreams. Then there are so many to choose from like Keeping the Faith, It's Still Rock n Roll To Me, and the first song I remember hearing from Billy Joel Only the Good Die Young.

Keeping the Faith
Probably one of the best songs he has done. Very strong.
Have ALWAYS LOVED the lyrics to this tune!! BILLY JOEL is THE STUFF, MAN!! SO MANY great songs - and, each seems to have it's own uniqueness!! ENJOY, YA'LL!!!
One of my favorite deep tracks from Billy Joel.
River of Dreams, Movin Out
Amazing that even today, half of the things we hear are true. Honesty & accountability are words being forgotten even though they're both so highly important,

Tons of great songs from Mr. JOel..a coupler of my top favs are Angry Young Man and Captain Jack. Enjoy the journey....T
You guys are that young that you've never heard Billy Joel that much. What a beautiful voice
Just the way you are. Rosalindas eyes. The stranger. River of dreams. Billy can't stop being awesome.
It is extra powerful because it is so true. Always one of my favorites from him.
I love this song. What a fantastic singer/songwriter! I used to lie on my big sis's bedroom floor and listen to his album "The Stranger." ❤️
I remember buying The Stranger, almost wore out that vinyl when it came out. Haha teenage girls....
This song comes from his 52nd St album. Another great song from this album is Zanzibar. For me The Stranger and 52nd St are my favorite albums of Billy's.
What I love about Billy Joel is his eclectic nature
He can be soulful, romantic, intensly rockin', or irreverent, depending on what mood you're looking for
Add to that, he's not only a singer/songwriter, but a full fledged composer, often writing the music for multiple instruments and arrangements
2 of my favorites fall into the irreverent category with The Entertainer, and New York 2019 (I've seen the lights go out on Broadway)
Got to listen to ‘For the Longest Time’.
Until The Night
Goodnight Saigon and And So It Goes. Billy is an amazing lyricist and musician.
Every Billy Joel song is killer, but I love "You May Be Right" and "Sometimes a Fantasy."
Love Billy Joel and all his songs… a comedian once said “I’ll have to say for a song called Piano Man that $&$$ guy playing the harmonica wouldn’t shut up haha😂😅😊
Thanks guys for all the great reactions as always!!!
Listen to "I've loved these days". Great song.
Billy Joel, who admires The Beatles a great deal, no doubt owes a lot of his musical versatility to them.
With Joel's lyrics, you can actually hear people saying them in a conversation. That's what I like about his song writing...
Great comments. You guys are now ready for "Rosalinda's Eyes", Billy's greatest deep cut. Billy Joel does Latin? What? Yes!
that and Stiletto.
Highly highly recommended Goodnight Saigon, such a powerful song!!
Absolutely brilliant
i thought that was you at that show.
If you like this vocal style of Billy's, check out his song called "A Room of Our Own".
❤❤❤ Billy Joel!!!
Piano Man ha solo gioielli nel suo repertorio... Talento Totale 🎹🎹👏👏❤️
His most honest song ever! As it's told... Also my favorite song by him!
In almost all of his videos he plays the piano, with the exception of "A matter of trust", where he plays the guitar.
You also need to react to "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant," from Joel's 1977 album "The Stranger." It's a tour de force.
Love to hear you react to Just the Way You Are. Awesome Billy song.
I loved and sang along with this song when I purchased the album back in 1978.By many fans the song is considered a bit cheesy though I would say among the finest cheese!😊You might want to consider reacting to some of Billy’s early tunes like Summer Highland Falls, or Miami 2017!

Peak Billy joel.
no not his peak i love the Glass Houses Album.
One of the great slow ones! ❤ I like Movin’ Out (Anthony’s song) and Only the Good Die Young. River of Dreams, Allentown, “AND SO IT GOES” is one of his best, I think. ❤❤
Allentown 🙌🙌
Watch Angry Young Man, but a live version. Amazing piano work. Also My Life is an excellent song
Joel, singing in his younger days. He can still play the piano.
He can still sing quite well. His voice is a little lower now but still quite strong. Take a listen to the song "Turn the Lights Back On" that he released last year.
A really great one from Billy is titled "Until The Night". Please listen to that one. Not one of his more famous one's, definitely one of his great one's.
Back when songs had meaning
"Big Shot" 🎶 🎵
I love the nostalgia these older songs always give me.
Give a listen to Billy Joel's An Innocent Man. My all time favourite.
song came out when I was in high school 1978 love Billy
