  • Rishi Nityapragya ji recites the Guru Paduka Stotram for his beloved guru. The Guru Paduka Stotram is a chant that recognizes the importance of a Guru in one's life. This song extols the various virtues of a learned teacher and describes how a seeker's life changes under the master's tutelage.
Adi Shankaracharya was traveling throughout the country in search of his Master when he came across a cave on the banks of the Narmada River. He noticed Govind Bhagavatpada's padukas, or sandals, outside the cave and immediately recognized them as his master's.
He was overjoyed to have finally found the master he had been looking for. The paduka has long been revered in Indian tradition as a symbol of respect for the lineage of masters who have passed down wisdom to us.
