Was reading through Genesis 27 yesterday and had wanted to get some study further on this chapter and so that’s how I ended up here today. This video teaching was a real blessing to me. Around the 37:00-40:05 minute mark really stuck out for me. Listen to the word and don’t rely on your feelings.
Matthew 7:22 KJV 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
There are two things I want to point out! Remember back in chapter 24 the trust that was made. It should be called the “ TRUST CHAPTER” No the trust was lost and his wife, Rebecca plotted against her husband and son against father. It was lost! 2 I want to point out Jacob didn’t snatch away the birthright, Esau gave it away!! Very important you understand what happened here. Adam was given Dominion over the whole earth but when he chose to listen to his wife and be disobedient and partake of the fruit! Adam transferred all the dominion over to Satan the serpent! The serpent didn’t snatch it away, Adam gave it away, When we sin we are actually giving our salvation away especially when we do it knowingly and expect to be forgiven! These are called strongholds!
@ 39:58 it asks if Jesus said demons will be cast out of people? Jesus did say that would be a sign of a believer...that they would cast out demons. Right?
I'm confused about what he stated as well. In Matthew 7:22 KJV, it says: 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
@@sallyannayala3749right. So as far as I can see, those who believe in Jesus WILL be able to cast out demons according to the scriptures. How can ...And why would anyone deny that?
43:41 an blessing was binding. OK that makes sense. Now, I know I'm thinking like a Westerner here, but it seems to me that sense Jacob presented himself to be Esau, that invalidates the contract..so to speak
Is it ever established in scripture that Isaac was trying to bless Esau to try to throw God's plans? Do we know if Rebekah ever told him that God said "the older will serve the younger"? It seems a lot is being assumed in this teaching. Point me in the right direction if I'm wrong please.
Do you think it's possible that Isaac new it was Jacob all along? Maybe that's why Moses keeps dropping hints in the text? What if Isaac DID know, but he played along with it so he wouldn't break Esau's heart? Hmmm.... interesting to think about, but if someone has some insight into this, I'm always a willing listener.
Just of note. Gold told them to get their affairs in order and make sure you give your children an inheritance. Therefore, Issac may not have been dying but giving his blessings while he was still of sound mind. Also Issac ask Esau to prepare for him delicious food, at least leading to believe both kids cooked.
@@besamjohn thanks for your reply. I only wish I could remember the context. I guess it was ten months ago and my memory is not all that precise, but I do appreciate your effort.
@@besamjohne thinks demons won't oppress Christians? Heck that happens all the time! Christians get sick all the time. Lots of sicknesses are spiritual. So I can't agree with him on these points. Jesus cast out demons. He gave us authority to do so as well. If you don't believe you can do it, or you don't believe in demons oppressing Christians...u may need to check in with the Holy Spirit and see what He tells you about it.
Jacob was 77 when he reached Haran. He spent 7 years working for his father-in-law, Laban as dowry for his lover Rachel. Jacob was 84 years old when he consummated his marriage to Leah and Rachel. He was 92 when Joseph was born after he had been married to Leah and Rachel for 7 . Reuben was born when Jacob was 85 years old. Diana and Joseph were only 6 years when Jacob fled from Haran. Diana about age 14 was raped. It was over and he was his first.stayed in the promised land for over 10 years before Benjamin was born and after that he saw his parents. There is nothing in the text that showed that Rebecca died. Women in the Bible did not count and were hardly born unless they were going to be described for something dangerous like raping of Diana. Jacob's family were getting information about the welfare of their parents and that's why he made a lot of detours before getting home. All the Male preachers assume that Rebecca and Jacob never met again. There is nothing in the text to show that Jacob was in the promised land for 23 years before his father died. The text gives the impression that his father died as soon as he reached the house. Benjamin was born on route and by this time Joseph was a teenager. Moses, like all the other biblical writer failed to report anything about Rebekah, a female prophetess who ensured that her prophecy was fulfilled and there no curse on her and her son had come home with Leah instead of Jacob's favorite wife who died around 10 years in their home coming experience. Be careful of what you read from these guys about how they interpret issues about women in their own biases about women like Leah and Rebekah. Thanks.
Thanking the Holy Spirit God for new insights. Thank you Pastor for great teaching the Word.

Genesis 27
The way the Holy Spirit move is not all totally recorded in the Bible, is it?
Can someone point me to where God told Moses that he would be the deliverer before he fled and that is why he killed the Egyptian?
Its exodus 2 and also exodus 3 I believe
But Jesus did cast out demons
Mark 3 mentioned the casting out of demons by Jesus.. .. Mark is 1 of the 4 gospels...
I wish they would clarify...
I listened to it thee times lol I think his point was that CHRISTIANS don't have demons.
