Another great product for water filtration that takes no electricity is a Berkey or Aqua Rain filtration system. We recently bought one for testing in our house before we take it on the road and it is great!
I’m truly mind blown at their wild camping without their city lights. Wow if this is wild camping to them I wonder how many bentleys they have? Just wow!
Lol, why is everybody so mean? Who cares if they call it camping? I used a tent until I was 53, I still would if I really wanted to go someplace on my bike. I recently bought a nice, used, low miles motorhome which I plan to take off in and I watch these videos to get ideas for easier living. I plan on living in mine so I don't have to live with my kids. ;)
Well..they are not diplomatic comments for sure yet...this video gives rise to thoughts of throwing money at every little setback while using your RV. It is a promotional mindset. Little shown in the video is best for boondocking...just more RV gadgets. The LED lights are wonderful, the roof vent fantastic but...the generator stuff? no.
RV Ralph AZ I was wondering if I'm just old and cranky or does this episode scream phony? I still may watch a few more episodes of them and see if I can glean some useful info. To me the girl seems more knowledgeable than the boy.
I learn something great every time I watch one of your videos. The more eco friendly I can camp, the better. I love the solar oven. Never considered one before.
Recently saw the Going RV episode where you guys picked out your MH and now here you are making great videos. I really enjoy them so thanks for making them. And dude.. you are one lucky man! Keep up the good work and keep sharing!
Does it really make a difference how you camp,as long as you enjoy what you do? an RV or a tent . sure I,d like a Bus like theirs but i try to face the fact that I cant ,I,m 78 and building my 5th ,not 1 of them the same and all HIGH mileage 500853klm when I bought this one We will see as much as we can and possibly stay longer but our enjoyment is the pride in building and living in our Hi- Ace which what its all about .
Hi there!!! Have you ever thought of doing bio diesel? I always wanted a diesel just for that. It's actually not that complicated... and the diesel engine was designed actually to run off oil of ANY kind! Pretty cool. You guys are awesome. It makes me sad to see there are so many critical comments on here. Please know I appreciate your videos, knowledge, and environmentally gentle ways!
Moving into the motor home next week (wish me luck, she's old and oogly, but she'll have to do for now). Used to have a website teaching people how to cook with the Sun Oven. I've had mine for years now. Success to you! Chaz
Nikki, after 1.5 yrs of growing my hair I've decided to go back to my pixie since watching your videos. Have you thought about doing a hair/makeup video/tutorial (you're the professional, lol) in an RV? Any favorite hair products you can't live without? Tips for styling a pixie cut? Would love to see something like this for fun!! Cheers! ~M
Jammin Along Feel free to add this to our Crowdsourced Content page where we ask people to choose topics: www.gonewiththewynns.com/crowdsourced-travel-content
Speaking off boondocking, I discovered this cool lifehack by accident for milk. Fresh milk I freeze for a day and place back in the fridge. Once defrosts I've found the milk lasts wayyy past the date. Some weird science but it works for me.
Can you do a video about full-time RV-ing and pets? We want to install a cat but are afraid the dang thang will run off. Include how you deal with the litter box. Some RV-ers cut a hole in the floor and put the litter box in the basement. Keep up the good work!
You guys are awesome! I live in New Jersey and the real estate market is crazy here. So much so that I am seriously considering living in an RV or TT full time. I like the idea of having no rent, mortgage or utility payment. I have been researching like crazy and my biggest concern was handling of sewerage, not trying to drive 40 miles every week to dump the black tank. You guys basically have answered all my major questions. I will be subscribing. Is there anything you can tell me about incinerating toilets? I was looking into composting but something that is a bit less "hands on" in the humans waste department would suit me better lol thanks!
Looks like recorded in a farmer's front yard (mowed grass!), with hay bales in the background; maybe a field just outside downtown. Huge, new bus and ostentatious mass consumption devices.
We are really enjoying your videos! You have lots of gadgets and appliances that you put to good use. Our question is...where and how do you store them? Thanks for the great info so far. Robert and Kimberley
+rafael661kc You thought wrong. Camping has always been about making camping enjoyable with what ever tech is available. Or anyone sleeping in a tent isn't camping because a tent as shelter is tech.
You guys are a joy to watch. Thanks for all the information! One question, instead of more grey water storage, why don't you use your black water tank space for more batteries?
+TheRjjrjjr we upgraded to lithium batteries so they are double the power and take up the same footprint! We talk about and show them here: www.gonewiththewynns.com/rv-modifications-technology
Not exactly roughing it. Start with a big Class A, throw several thousand dollars of goodies into it, and, voila!, boondocking. Take it down that dirt road?
I would Love to hear what your top ten off grid favorite items are today after more time both in the RV and boat. It would be interesting to hear how many of these items still make the list 😃
Another great video, thanks. This may seem a stupid question but how long does the electricity store once you've harnessed it? Also what cleaning products do you use? I've tried eco friendly products but I find that they just don't clean good enough. Is there stuff I should avoid because obviously I don't want to damage my motorhome.
carebarehair We talk about each product in more depth in the article on our site: www.gonewiththewynns.com/best-rv-boondocking-gear As for biodegradable products we use Caldrea or Mrs. Meyers
Haa haha, 'wild camping'? Have you two ever spent a week in the woods or caught your own food for a week? Not only is that not wild camping, it's barely even Glamping ... In your ultra luxury motor coach with more amenities than a room at a FIVE STAR luxury resort. This should be called > 'tips for a luxury RV road trip'.
I would not trust a UV only item to make water potable. But that is just me... But I really like your #2, could we get more information on that portable solar array?
The crazy man from Ireland. haters. if u guys are jealous get out and sell some of the finances cars credit cards for more stuff u did not need and buy u a used Rv and hit the road and find a way to finance the travels like this couple has... then you can hate on them or anyone else. look at your lousy life first before bashing someone's camper they are free to travel in while you sit at home paying your 110 month cable TV bill w nothing on. lmao. you made it this far down ... but you get it right. all of you guys on here if you want to post negative comments on them click unsubscribe or go away.... lol simple
Could you guys make a list of the items in the description? It's hard to tell what brand or name they have to find them ourselves. Really interested in that awesome flashlight!
Laurie Stevens we list out everything and include Amazon links to the specific products on our site: www.gonewiththewynns.com/best-rv-boondocking-gear the site should be linked in the video description and on the annotations as well.
great video! i have a couple of questions though. That solar-oven you use, is it really that efficient? Nevermind bugs getting in your food, I find it really difficult to believe you can warm up something like a frozen pizza with it. Also in regard to your cats, do you keep them locked up in your rv all the time or can you let them out (if you're not on a tight schedule off course)? I'm thinking of converting a sprinter to a full-time living space, but i don't want to lock my cat in there 24/7, she's already used to a certain lifestyle 😉.
Have you ever looked at the Lifestraw Family or Mission for water filtration? No batteries. Filters protozoa, bacteria, and viruses. Plus its good for thousands of gallons. Live your fun attitudes!
In one of your videos you had a water purifier on your counter and you got a pitcher of water from a pond and ran it thru the purifier. What is the brand name of the purifier and where did you get it from. Thank you in advance.
Ok, so perhaps I'm late to the party and you're on video 1,000+, but are you full-timers? Also, how many cats do you have and how does that work out? Don't they run off when you let them outside? I have too many to camp with but am very curious how people manage doing so. Thanks.
yea I had a feeling that this guy had never been camping a day in his life and sure enough, his mobile house knocks the teeth out of most apartments. that sister of his is just my type those ;]
Do NOT scoop water from a lake or natural source and assume the uv light will create safe drinking water in a few minutes. The company even acknowledged this and recommended filtering before uv treating and consuming.
Another great product for water filtration that takes no electricity is a Berkey or Aqua Rain filtration system. We recently bought one for testing in our house before we take it on the road and it is great!

Your solar system is great! Being able to camp away from the crowds and still have power to run your little gadgets is key for me.
I got to say. These two could sell dirt to farmers and make you feel good about watching it.
Great Stuff
These videos are appreciated. Most of us would not know what questions to ask, to begin with
Great and informative video - thanks for making it, and thanks for putting a fresh face on RV living! I'm very inspired!
Gadgets, gadgets, we love our #WildCamping gadgets! buff.ly/1OzpoIy #Boondocking
Thanks for the great ideas. I really like the AGS, didn't know they made those
Where do you find such a nice site when wild camping?
Gone with the Wynns -
Best gay couple RV show yet. Although I doubt they ever went more than 2 days "off the gird".

I am convinced that composting toilets are the way to go. And after my own research I agree with your choice!
Recently saw the Going RV episode where you guys picked out your MH and now here you are making great videos. I really enjoy them so thanks for making them. And dude.. you are one lucky man! Keep up the good work and keep sharing!

Wow you and your daughter have some great tips! Thanks.
Great video, I didn't even know some of these items excited. Thank you for posting
You guys are amazing ! I love watching your videos and learning all I can for our move into RV living soon .... thank you !
I love that outfit she's wearing! I also love the idea of having Christmas lights on the outside of your RV.
You guys are so cute. Love gaining knowledge from you ... always keep coming back to your videos. Thx for making them.
That is a nifty fan. The oven is interesting, never seen that before. Thanks.
Even though the video is 7 years old it's still very good in informing

You both r my inspiration for the rv lifestyle..love u guys so much!!
Speaking off boondocking, I discovered this cool lifehack by accident for milk. Fresh milk I freeze for a day and place back in the fridge. Once defrosts I've found the milk lasts wayyy past the date. Some weird science but it works for me.
Boondockers need little of this stuff. We do like LED's and most would like a high quality vent fan. Nicely made video though. Keep them coming!
Been watching your videos today's. Love them!
I like the LED Lights. They are more expensive but so far seems to be worth it. Time will tell. Great video.
Can you do a video about full-time RV-ing and pets? We want to install a cat but are afraid the dang thang will run off. Include how you deal with the litter box. Some RV-ers cut a hole in the floor and put the litter box in the basement. Keep up the good work!
Every episode I gain more valuable knowledge, thanks.
It'd be nice if RVs added a rain water catchment system. Also, switch out the fabric on the awning to flexible solar panels.
We got the Wilson cell phone booster and eager to get it installed. Thanks for the great videos! :)
Great video. Very informative, as usual. Keep up the great work!
Wow, some great advice, not sure about the composting toilet though. LOL!!
I really like this compilation! Great job!

I'd love to see some meals cooked in the solar oven. It may be a perfect experiment while you are in hot Florida shopping for boats.
Excellent!
Thanks for all you do.
I like the word wild camping, nice.😉
It's cool what you guys are doing! Keep it up!
Great advice, thank you
That's one heck of a "camper" in the opening scenes!!
Looks like recorded in a farmer's front yard (mowed grass!), with hay bales in the background; maybe a field just outside downtown. Huge, new bus and ostentatious mass consumption devices.
The cat is on the top of the TV at the beginning! Haha
Great gadgets and video, thanks.
love the info...i have learned a lot
We are really enjoying your videos! You have lots of gadgets and appliances that you put to good use. Our question is...where and how do you store them? Thanks for the great info so far. Robert and Kimberley
i always thought camping was to get away from the tech
+rafael661kc You thought wrong. Camping has always been about making camping enjoyable with what ever tech is available. Or anyone sleeping in a tent isn't camping because a tent as shelter is tech.
who said i take tents
rafael661kc
Well then you'd better be going camping naked because anything you bring with you is technology.
toushe...
Wow, all of you’re products are like,,,,new!
I made it to 1:03 before having to turn it off.
Awesome little doodads! Great video!
Jason & Nikki rule the wild camping world! :)
Ok geek

RV Ralph AZ
***** How about we go with the Wynn's favorite term... "Wild Camping" instead. That sounds like a lot more fun.
RVgeeks I am sorry. My comment was rude.
Wild camping with a diesel pusher. Real rough.

*That Fail at the end* LMAO😂
You've got some cool automatic stuff in that rig. I just ordered a couple of those aerators from your post. Thanks for the link and video!
RVwithTito Thanks for the support!

OMG I love this! This gives me so many ideas!!!
Awesome items thanks...
This is a nice informative video, but this is really for upscale camping.
I would Love to hear what your top ten off grid favorite items are today after more time both in the RV and boat. It would be interesting to hear how many of these items still make the list 😃
Interesting....
tough life in that bus. why bother to leave the house. except for a change in scenery.
Don't think I'd call any of that "camping", more like driving around in a luxury land yacht
I just love you kids!
great, thanks for uploading
NICE !!
Really nice! Thanks!

So cute how using a bus is still called "Camping". ;-)
Free overnight parking morphed into boondocking morphed into wild camping.

I don't listen to people that do videos on with a green screen when it comes to RVs
Hi Guys.... great vids.... where is the campground ??? Looks nice with the mountains in the bkground...
Dave In'ohio Prado Regional Park in CA
I would not trust a UV only item to make water potable. But that is just me...
But I really like your #2, could we get more information on that portable solar array?
I'm sorry but looking at that big fancy RV I wouldn't be going to a river for my water I'd buy it in a shop !!!!!

This is off-topic but I love the hair color! Very seasonally appropriate!!
I do really love your channel - very informative, novel and friendly!

Just picked up a solio, hope it works for my ipad mini
Great video
Do your cats do well travelling? I have two and they hate to ride. What did you do to help them adjust? ☺️
Is it about camping or about consumption?

This is the QVC couple of camping..
Have you ever looked at the Lifestraw Family or Mission for water filtration? No batteries. Filters protozoa, bacteria, and viruses. Plus its good for thousands of gallons. Live your fun attitudes!
Excelent gadget tips, #1 expecially, composting toliets are a smart way to go, I use one of course in my camp :)
Oh boy, I hope you two breed soon--you both are cute as buttons, creative, curious, intelligent and sharing: the world need more Wynns!
THE Cat WENT ON THE RV LOL
In one of your videos you had a water purifier on your counter and you got a pitcher of water from a pond and ran it thru the purifier. What is the brand name of the purifier and where did you get it from. Thank you in advance.
It's a micro distiller from H20 Labs. www.h2olabs.com/
Consider using a Berkey or similar gravity countertop filter. Any of the ones used in 3rd world situations. Google it.
Ok, so perhaps I'm late to the party and you're on video 1,000+, but are you full-timers? Also, how many cats do you have and how does that work out? Don't they run off when you let them outside? I have too many to camp with but am very curious how people manage doing so. Thanks.
This is not wild camping. You are parked near a road, or other human assets there is nothing wild about that.
yea I had a feeling that this guy had never been camping a day in his life and sure enough, his mobile house knocks the teeth out of most apartments. that sister of his is just my type those ;]
Saweet info!!!
Cool
How many more batteries to go all night long 6?
Do NOT scoop water from a lake or natural source and assume the uv light will create safe drinking water in a few minutes. The company even acknowledged this and recommended filtering before uv treating and consuming.
This is GLAMPING FOLKS !!!!!
What do you do with the waste from the toilet ?
They have a composting toilet :)
But what do they do with the waste from the composting toilet?
+Jen G dispose of it
