Xavier | Transgender District Visual Storytelling Project

Xavier shares his journey towards finding navigating manhood as a Black man, his experience being affirmed in the street life and shifting his perspective towards public service, and the advice he would give his younger self.
The Transgender District's Visual Storytelling Project aims to promote transgender people as experts to our own lives, our own narratives, and sharing our stories in ways that empower ourselves and to minimize sensationalizing our experience. It is our belief that we have to acknowledge the rich resilience and culture of transgender people and share our journeys in ways that highlight the lived experience, voice and expertise of transgender people- from transgender youth to transgender elders, in storytelling.

Shame on you for shaming HIM* what's so wrong with someone being comfortable in their own body? Whats ur problem with that?
Biologically he has a male brain, so his brain was assigned to the wrong gender. And before you go off "oh god doesn't make any mistakes"
Then why do people get plastic surgery? Glasses? If we were all born perfect and he makes no mistakes that wouldn't exist.
Why does it matter to you if hes a man? You're not his partner, family member or friend. Why do you care so much?
Why are you so obsessed with HIS gender? You know sometimes people are born with both male and female reproductive system
