  • Since Bassic ist the mastermind behind this, check out his version:
    • The Jubalaires - Noah ...
The remix from Bassic is awesome but, like the original, it's a bit short so I made my own extended version of it by editing the video.
    Original track here:
    • The Jubalaires Noah (1...
Recording and footage originally from the Prelinger Archives.
The Jubalaires: John Jennings, Orville Brooks, George McFadden, Ted Brooks.

The Jubilaires were very popular in the 40s. That is why they were on TV. Both of my parents loved these gospel quartets (Golden Gate Quartet, Dixie Hummingbirds, Soul Stirrers, etc.). These gospel quartet groups would sing at churches. My father sung in a gospel quartet at our church, back in the 40s and 50s. The black community loved these gospel quartets.

Gold teeth has been a street fashion since the 1800s. A lot of early jazz musicians rocked them, too. Jelly Roll Morton from the late 1890s to the early 1920s was a famous example. He was a pimp, a hustler and a very good piano player. He actually had diamonds in his mouth. All of this is not new.

@boredtiredandsad3197 Fuckin who!?! with all due respect you need to get your ears checked because every mainstream rapper nowadays is garbage like X, Juice Wrld, lil nas x which are not even rappers but they're labeled that for some reason, shit drill music artists, Megan the stallion, Cardi B, all the rappers with lil are in their names that all sound the same and they all produce the same generic sounds and the same basic garbage lyrics. 90s rap was the best time for rap and just music in general since they were unique, better musicians, better beats, More experimental music, actual talent with meaningful or story telling lyrics or both with good flow to go with the rhythm. Music went to shit after the 1900s. Rap should be better now than other point in history especially when we live in a world of advanced technology with new high tech instrumental equipment and more higher quality sounds but it's not since no one knows how to make good music anymore and everyone tryna copy the trend and sound the same since everyone is brainrotted with social media and barley anyone has any actual personality to come up with their own shit especially the youth in this generation that try to make it big. But I guess it is what it is, all I can do now is stick to listening to the good ol tracks.👌

    • @mikehawk485
      @mikehawk485 ปีที่แล้ว +8

@boredtiredandsad3197 First of all if you’re too lazy to read 2 sentences then what’s the point of this discussion, secondly Kendrick and JID are the only exceptions, is two all you can provide? Secondly for you to say that they’re way better than 90s rappers is crazy. Most 1980s-1990s rappers would body Kendrick and JID in a freestyle like Nas, Ultramagnetic MC’s, a tribe called quest, MF DOOM, Wu tang clan, Mob deep, Slick Rick, Big L, Biggie, and so on.

    Full Lyrics-
    Well, it's a, oh Noah
Oh oh Noah, Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(Well it's a), Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
Hey children stop, be still, and listen to me
God walked down to the rowdy sea
He declared that evil had descended to man
And then he decided to destroy the land
He spoke to Noah and Noah stopped
He said "Noah, I want you to build me an ark"
I want you to build it three cubits long
I want you to build it big and strong
I want it thirty high and fifty wide
So it will withstand the wind and tide
    , Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(Well it's a), Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
    Brother Noah
Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
Well after the foundation was laid
Then Noah began to hew and build
The ringing of the hammer cried judgment
The hewing of the saw cried sin and repent
A hundred years he hammered and sawed
Building the ark by the grace of God
When the ark was done God's voice was heard
He said, "Now, Noah let me tell you what to do."
"Call in the animals two by two."
So he called them in the ark two by two
He called the bird, the ox with the kangaroo
Then he called in Japeth, and Ham, and Shem
Then God began to flood the land
He raised his hands to heaven on high
Shook the stars and they moved from the sky
Shook the mountains, he troubled the sea
Hitched the wind, his chariot decree
He steped on land and stood on the shore
And declared that time there wouldn't be no more
, Oh Noah, Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide

      THIS NOT RAP music,
This is GOSPEL music singing to the Glory of GOD. Most GOSPEL music from this time is sung like this. Rap music is Filthy, it about killing, calling women *itch and hoes singing about going to kill somebody or woman ain’t nothing but trick and hoes. See how they sound different? They also mean something different. Gospel tells how to live a righteous life. See how different they are. Go to church, not to one of those Sunday churches. Cause if you black in America, brought in slave ship YOU are a HEBREW Israelite. Find a Hebrew Israelite church cause they will teach YOU who you are.

    Well, it's a, oh Noah

So he called them in the ark two by two
He called the bird, the oxford, the kangaroo
Then he called in Japeth, and Ham, and Shem
Then God began to flood the land
He raised his hands to heaven on high
Shook the stars and they moved from the sky
Shook the mountains, he troubled the sea
Hitched the wind, his chariot decree
He steped on land and stood on the shore
And declared that time there wouldn't be no more
, Oh Noah, Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide

Quero compartilhar a tradução com meus irmãos e irmãs do Brasil:
    Letra de Noah
    [Refrão]
    Bem, é um-oh, Noah
    Ah, oh, Noé
    Oh-ho, oh, Noah
Meu Deus vai andar no vento e na maré
    Bem, é a-oh, oh, Noah
    Ah, oh, Noé
    Oh-ho, oh, Noah
    [Verso 1: Ted Brooks]
Ei crianças, parem, fiquem quietos e me escutem
Quando Deus desceu para o mar turbulento
Ele declarou que o mal descende do homem
E então ele decidiu destruir a terra
Então vai suportar o vento e a maré"
    [Refrão]
    Ah, oh, Noé
    Ah, oh, Noé
    Oh-ho, oh, Noah
Meu Deus vai andar no vento e na maré
    Bem, é a-oh, oh, Noah
    Ah, oh, Noé
    Oh-ho, oh, Noah
Meu Deus vai andar no vento e na maré
    mmm, mmm
(Deus vai andar no vento e na maré)
    Mmm-hmm
(Deus vai andar no vento e na maré)
    Mmm, mmm-hmm
(Deus vai andar no vento e na maré)
    Oh-ho, Noah
    [Verso 2: Ted Brooks]
Bem, depois que a fundação foi lançada
Então Noé começou a cortar e construir
O toque do martelo gritou julgamento
O corte da serra clamou pecado e arrependimento
Cem anos, ele martelou e serrou
Ele disse: "Agora Noah, deixe-me dizer-lhe o que fazer
Então Deus começou a inundar a terra
Ele levantou as mãos para o céu no alto
Agitou as estrelas e a lua do céu
Agitou as montanhas, Ele incomodou o mar
    [Outro]
    Bem, é a-oh, oh, Noah
    Oh-oh, oh, Noé
    Oh-ho, oh, Noah
Meu Deus vai andar no vento e na maré
