You don’t know me Alex but I’m an army veteran and live in San Antonio Tx where Josh will be doing his BMT. If he ever needs anything, feel free to reach out. Your family has become a little part of my family over the years. Welcome to the military family Josh.
No fr that's how it be right. It's like one day u just randomly come across one of there videos. Than u find your self wanting more. Oh then after that u just absolutely love the whole keep it crazy family.. they also became a part of my family as well. BTW thank u so much for your service..
Make sure you write him letters. Mail call is a big deal. Send a couple pictures too. When he graduated boot camp you can send him care packages which is great. In my son's navy boot camp they got razzed badly for packages during actual boot so I'd keep it to letters and pictures. I'll pray for safety, courage and strength.
Congratulations to Josh. Thank you for your service sir. You are appreciated. My husband is an army vet. Write him letters, send pictures and if you can make it to his graduation go. Your niece is beautiful! Such sweet cheeks! I love them!
So my son literally just came home from his final training for the Army. Write him LOTS AND LOTS of letters. At basic training they love to have so many letters I wrote my son 2 letters a week every week he was gone. Tell him how proud you are of him all the time. Everytime I wrote my son I left him at the end a little bit of encouragement like I would start off saying remember…. Than things like hard work always pays off!!!
Don't worry about Josh too much Alex, he picked a good branch and m.o.s. to use his brain instead of his brawn. He also made a wise decision for himself and his family, it can be a great career and if he wants he can stick if out for 20yrs and have a nice retirement and still be young enough to do whatever he wants! You and Savanna holding your niece was so cute! Sending love from Wilsonville Oregon
Congratulations Josh. All the best in the future. Alex your niece is sooooooo adorable. Love your pictures of you and Savanna. They were awesome. Hugs 💕💕
Alex, please tell Josh that many people who watch your channel are praying for him and thank him for his service. I have the utmost respect for all of the courageous men and women who choose to serve our country by joining the military (along with those in law enforcement and other emergency services). Take every chance you get to talk to Josh, and make a habit of writing to him and sending pictures while he is in basic training. Realize that phone calls will be limited and brief while he is training, so he will likely call his fiancée and daughter more than he will call you, but you can call her (or she can call you) to get updates on him. My older brother is in the Army and I remember when he was in basic he called home one night crying and told my mom that the drill instructors hated him and the Army was gonna kick him out. When he called, no one was supposed to be using the phone...he had snuck out and made the call from a pay phone with a calling card my parents had provided him. My mom told him to hang up and go back inside to bed. A few minutes later our phone rang again and it was one of his command staff. He asked my mom if my brother had just called and if he said the Army was going to discharge him. My mom told him that he had, and the sergeant said that he was NOT being kicked out, that they would make him into a good soldier but that we wouldn’t hear from my brother for a period of time as a form of punishment. My mom thanked him, said she understood and hung up. He graduated from basic a few months later (if my memory is right, Army basic training for the infantry is 14 weeks) and shortly after he went to Airborne school to learn how to jump out of airplanes and helicopters and into a potential war zone. As an airborne infantryman, he literally gets paid to jump out of airplanes and be the “boots on the ground”. He had ADHD as a child, so that job matched his energy and personality perfectly! My brother is still serving in the Army and has been enlisted since he graduated from high school in the year 2000 (obviously this will be his 23rd year). He has been deployed 4 or 5 times (I think it is 5, but I could be wrong), once to Kosovo and the rest to Afghanistan. He also had the opportunity to be stationed and live in Italy two separate times. That is where he met his beautiful wife (a wonderful Italian woman) and they had their first child. He moved back to the US with his family about 5 years ago (maybe 6) if my memory is correct and lived in Colorado for a few years but now lives and works out of a base on the east coast. He is currently teaching for the Army, and as a teacher he is non deployable, so he will remain in the US for now. He REALLY loves where he is living now, and his family does not want to move again, so when it comes time for him to re-enlist if the Army will guarantee him the chance to stay where he is at I can see him considering it. However, since he has put in over 20 years and now has two AMAZING kids ages 7 years and 7.5 months, I think he will seriously consider retiring and getting a civilian job (perhaps he will continue to teach the same subject he is currently teaching at the college level but as a civilian vs. enlisted). Since he is only 41, he is young enough to go on and have a second career and eventually have two retirement checks coming in each month. Sorry for rambling. Again, please tell Josh we thank him for his service and will be praying for him and his family as they begin this new chapter in their lives.
Great video! 🇺🇲 That's really amazing about your brother! Lord bless him and keep him safe. Proud brother! 💙 Definitely write and send care packages like I read in a previous message! It will mean so much to him. God bless you all! Cute baby too! Sweet chubby cheekers!🎀

Oh Alex ur little niece is beautiful. Josh will do amazing u will still get to see him and hey when and if they move it’s always a great reason for a holiday. Josh stay safe out there.
Congratulations Josh. I’m so proud of and happy for you. My son is just retiring after 20 years. He made it to MST SGT and is now starting as civilian for AF, Northrop Drummun*. You will be open to so many opportunities. 👍🏻🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸
My best friends father did that both stayed in the military 20 plus years and then he worked another 20 years at Northrup. He really enjoyed both retirements...lol.
Bonnie, many thanks to your son for his service to our country and dedication to his career (and to you as well for raising him to be a strong, courageous, unselfish young man and supporting him through it all). Like your son, my brother has been in the military (Army) for 22 years and is beginning to consider retiring. He now has two beautiful girls (7 years old and 7.5 months old) and a wonderful, loving, kind and supportive wife. I honestly believe that he would re-enlist again if he were guaranteed to stay where he is located now (which may be an option, I’m not sure if he has looked into this yet or not), but I know he does not want to be PCS’d to another base because they LOVE where they are living now and own a very nice lakefront home. They also don’t want to uproot their 7 y.o. from her school and friends (she has already had 2 major moves due to the military, one from the country she was born in while he and his wife were stationed overseas and one to where they live now). Hopefully your son enjoys his second career working at Northrop Grumman. They are an amazing company and give A LOT of vets a great career after their departures from the military. I wish that a lot more companies had such a strong commitment to hiring veterans!

Arizona is such a lovely state! Love that Savannah named the dead fish! Sad that Josh is going away and gone for so long! You can definitely keep in touch via mail! Excited that you get to meet your niece! I love babies too! Cute baby! Why does she have a brace? I hope she is okay and doesn't have to wear it long! The pic of Alex and Juniper was adorable!
Ive been a military wife for 24 yrs.. my husband has been deployed four times while our kids were little. I use to write him nightly in a notebook and once the notebook was finished then i would send it.. i told him what the kids did daily and included pictures of them or ones they drew. It’s hard to see loved ones leave. And in the military it’s worse because they are gone longer. But I thank your brother for going into the military. Without our military we would not have the freedoms we currently have.❤

Sadly I have to say engineers do go to war too. I know because I trained with a lot of them and also because I was support for engineers at an infantry division. The good news is that he will have the training that he needs to make it work. And if and when he chooses to leave the military the transition would be much smoother. >>> write a lot of letters. Come on over and visit us in San Antonio Tx. for his graduation, you and Savannah would enjoy our city and the Riverwalk, Six flags and Sea World !! My Son is also Air Force.. Go Air Force ‼️
Congratulations and good luck Josh! 🎉🎉🎉Stay safe!🙏🤞🙏 I know it's going to be hard for you Alex but it will even be harder for Josh and his fiance with the baby. Alex right letters to Josh and I am sure he'll right back. Please us posted on how he is doing. Good luck to you all! Alex you should take Savannah to St John's I am sure she will love it. If you don't have a place to stay Shelley and Jared will probably let you stay with them.
@@dearleah7299 Although the person who responded (or others such as myself) may not PERSONALLY have knowledge of the reason Juniper is wearing the brace, giving a likely answer (the most common reason for that type of hip stabilizing brace in babies IS INDEED hip dysplasia) allows the person who asked to look up the condition if they choose to do so. The fact they said the LIKELY reason, means they aren’t claiming to answer with certainty or speak FOR Alex. If this isn’t the reason and Alex, Savannah or Josh want to respond with the correct answer they can certainly do that. You don’t have to have firsthand knowledge in order to give a reasonably educated guess, and IMO one has the freedom to speak as long as they say something along the lines of “my guess is...” “it is likely because of...” “my child/someone I know used one for...” etc.
Make sure you send him care packages. My brother was in the airforce and he said they were a lifeline to home. Send letters in the mail. Soldiers live for mail call. FaceTime and zoom calls are another way to go.
We always interpret babies crying when they see us as a bad reaction, but remember, it also could’ve been because she saw you and wanted you to pick her up and hold her. And if you aren’t doing that, she’s gonna cry. She seemed so focused on you, it genuinely could’ve been her wanting to check you out and be held by you. Babies are curious lil chonkers especially at that age. I wouldn’t take it automatically as a “as she doesn’t like me!” Thing because it could literally be the opposite. Babies cry when they want their moms to pick them up. So don’t count it out Lol. It might’ve been a “yeah it’s about time, uncle Alex! Now come snuggle me RIGHT NOW! thing lol. Just “oh who’s that guy, I want him to pick me up, I’m curious about that guy”
Hi Alex Remember when your brother graduates from USA Airforce Training, take the opportunity if you are invited to go, it will be awesome and an eye opener too you.

The stone Savanah picked up may have Petoskey Stone, found in upper Michigan. No idea how it got to Arizona. Goggle it to see they look the same.
OK his cake those cupcakes I can eat then for days they’re so good🎉🎉🎉

Come on over and visit us in San Antonio Tx. for his graduation, you and Savannah would enjoy our city and the Riverwalk, Six flags and Sea World !! My Son is also Air Force.. Go Air Force ‼️
Good luck to your brother
She was happy to see uncle. Talk to her
So cute ❤
Congratulations and good luck Josh! 🎉🎉🎉Stay safe!🙏🤞🙏 I know it's going to be hard for you Alex but it will even be harder for Josh and his fiance with the baby. Alex right letters to Josh and I am sure he'll right back. Please us posted on how he is doing. Good luck to you all! Alex you should take Savannah to St John's I am sure she will love it. If you don't have a place to stay Shelley and Jared will probably let you stay with them.
Air Force is good to their soldiers and tell him take advantage if they send him over seas it will be a great experience.
Whats that brace thing on juniper for? Such a cute name🥰
That is none of our business
He'll have boot camp graduation and ait training and graduation before shipment to his loc
What's the brace on the baby for?
Most likely for hip dysplasia
@@Powell978 since you don’t know, let Alex answer that question. It’s really not our business.
@@Powell978 agree, I was curious too so looked it up. She's a beautiful baby.
Goodluck Josh
Make sure you send him care packages. My brother was in the airforce and he said they were a lifeline to home. Send letters in the mail. Soldiers live for mail call. FaceTime and zoom calls are another way to go.
My grandson is in the Air Force. He is stationed in Las Vegas at nellis. Maybe job shall be that close to you too
We always interpret babies crying when they see us as a bad reaction, but remember, it also could’ve been because she saw you and wanted you to pick her up and hold her.
Hey Alex
Always put 2 hours parking, hours to short .
Yup! Now I know for next time! I didn’t think it was gonna be that soon but it was
Hi Alex
Remember when your brother graduates from USA Airforce Training, take the opportunity if you are invited to go, it will be awesome and an eye opener too you.
I love it. You don't hear the name Jennifer anymore (my name too) where it used to be so common. She's adorable.

Josh sure looks different with his Air Force buss cut😊. Good luck Josh in basic training. ALEX, make sure you write him and stay in contact with your brother.
I don’t think he needs to be told how to have a relationship with his brother.
Josh welcome to San Antonio! Guess what, you’re still getting a haircut at BMT
