I have one of those "cheapo" pens you were talking about. It held up Really well, but if you turn it off with the filament still in it, then the filament balls up, and pushes the nozzle out, in which case, the nozzle is trash. it was only $40, and I bought 2 kilograms of orange abs for only $20. so I didn't complain. You can find replacement nozzles for cheap on amazon or Ebay. Not too worried bout it. you should test one out to see what you think about it!

The sunfunny version of this pen works well and comes with more filament. It also comes with a template booklet and everything else the 7tech comes with. I would recommand the Sunfunny version of this pen as the slow speed is faster then the 7 tech and all the other speeds are the same. You should also always buy extra filament when buying a 3D pen.

Devyn, I think you were right about the whole 'there is probably a factory in china pumping these out and other companies modifying them' because my pen looks exactly like that except it doesn't show the temperature, it just has a yellow light and when it's red it's not done, and when it's ready it's yellow and green. Can you please do a review on it? The brand name is Soyan.
For me it is just labelled scribble V2 labelled as a 7Tech. I don't know if it is the original. I have three of them, from 3 different vendors, they have all the same hardware. V1 looks like the V2 too. in the V2 is only some more logic for the lcd.

Peter Beal ABS is stronger but makes a strong smell (also I've used it and coughed, like, a LOT for a few weeks afterwards. I haven't heard much other complaints of it though so it might just be me), while PLA is weaker and meets much more easily. I've only used ABS, so everything I said about PLA is just info from other comments.

planets aren't exact circles, like the gas planets, Saturn is actually squashed looking because of how quick it's rotation is at 10 hours per rotation so your planet would have looked fine a little squashed looking and it seems that you were making a gas planet at first... and then made a planet like earth's ... it really threw me off... lol sorry for my nerdiness 😂
Primrose Gamgee Honestly, if you aren't that careful and such, then the 3doodler start pen for children might be the best because you have more time to shape it, it's a bit slower, making it easier for children and beginners, also, you can touch the tip and you'll be alright, it won't hurt at all. it's none stringy, also, you can take the remaining plastic out aswell. Overall more easier and I would advise it to beginners, but we all have diffrent start levels ^-^ They range from 50-100$

Elizabeth Olllar I find the 3D doodler start since it sits really nicely in your hand for all ages.It also come with tons of filement and lasts long.Another plus is that it heats but you can't feel it heat which is a really nice edition to it so if you have younger people around they won't burn themselves off the heat.That is why I find it the best but I will inform near Christmas to inform if it is good!😊😊
