    I agree that """we""" have a protein 'problem' in the West and the world at large. Specifically, most people are choosing diets that they believe meet their protein requirements (or at least they consider healthy), but are at least double digit percentage point under what their bodies actually need.
    Soil degradation is being remediated by small-scale farmers and home steaders already. They've also managed to exponentially improve the efficiency of land use. And "too much carbon in the atmosphere" is an absurd claim made by religious zealots, but even still molten salt reactors have been a solution since the 60s. With enough energy, one can control more factors of nature, including carbon dioxide levels.
    So I must ask. Is the failure to diminish the cost of energy by several orders of magnitude since the 60s a signal that none of the powers that be believes climate change is a threat? Or are they trying to kill people on purpose?
