I found a harley led headlight at a thrift store! It looks like the same unit. Since it was only $5.00 ... I took the gamble. It fits my vintage 81 CB750C perfect. I have a ring that mounts to the headlight that you then mount it to the bucket ring so mine was plug and play. Looks and works great. I want one of those cm400Cs, they look like fun. Great vid keep it up.
The halo lights have two different colors: white for the daytime running light and yellow for the signal lights. Those 7-inch LEDs are designed for a car, which explains why they are used as signal lights. Was surprised when i got that info too lol 😂
Cool video. I thought Honda headlights were 6.5" making the installation impossible for the 7" led headlight. Is there something im missing to see in this video? For ref I have a Honda 350F that I am looking to upgrade the headlight on
1:40, I’m having a hell of a hard time getting the plug to unplug. Like I can’t get the electrical plug to disconnect from the original headlight assembly. Any tricks or tips?
Probably way too late to be helpful but I have a trim tool for interior panels that I use all the time for stuck connectors. It's basically a wide pry bar but it has a large notch in the middle so it can apply pressure on both sides.
You skipped the only part I needed to see... 😂🤦🏻♂️ I'm guessing you just bent the tabs out and back in? I'm doing this with the virtually identical setup. eBay LED and a '94 CB250.
I can't remember off the top of my head but there ends up being an extra wire no matter what as it has two options for what color the halo is. Hope that helps!
Winnipeg HID was a good source of potential headlight brands and fitment idea's for me and my gl 1000 a few years ago.
Its a bummer u skipped the hard parts. How did you fit the wiring in the bucket? Mine isnt even close and i have the same set up.

This is great! I have a similar headlight and a similar new LED one. I am an advocate of forcing things into place. I’m gonna give it a try!
Good luck!

I am on the way to try this kind of lamp in my cb500.
Thanks! You just saved me half a day of finangling.
Did you end up bending the tabs and then bending them back? I have the exact same original headlight, looking to do the same
Yes that's all that was needed

Yes I bent them back in and ommited the left to right adjuster
@@whiskeypete2000 yup, 7". Bit of bending and it'll be fine.
Good job
What did u connect the green and yellow wire to? I’m interested in doing this to mine. First bike so I’m not sure how these things go 😂
