骨格や姿勢、重心、フォルムなど、やはり表現の説得力が大切なんだと思います。表現に説得力のある漫画やアニメーションは読者や視聴者の体験につながり夢中にさせてくれます。
外に出たらそこら辺にいる人々を観察し、資料を読み漁り、頭の中でイメージし自身の体験や情報を上手く消化しアウトプット出来るような漫画家やアニメーターが増えてくれるとありがたいです。

確かにね！彼はキャラクターの個性のバリエーションがかなり豊かよね。
ドラえもんなんかは、デフォルメされていながら目が顔の上の方についていて親・大人としての属性を持っているそうですね
浦沢さんの漫画はやっぱり脇役が良い味を出してるなぁ
消ゴムかけた時にラフの印象が損なわれることなく鮮明に浮き上がるペン入れの取捨選択がさすがやなぁ。
この年齢で話を作りつつ画力を維持してるのは凄すぎる。
浦沢作品で「謎」にいち早くたどり着いてしまう脇役が好きです！
20世紀少年のチョーさんやMONSTERのリヒャルト等 確かに物語に引き込んでくれました
Mr. Urasawa really does have the greatest side characters , not only artistically but also with the way they are written.
also the sound of his pen strokes is so relaxing
His any side character would be the main protagonist of any other manga
That is saying something about his masterful work

とにかく絵が上手い人なのだと思う。全てのキャラクターがハッキリしてる、そこに確かにいる。
これまでもこれからも一生漫画を描くことはないと思う自分ですが、浦沢先生の作画見ていてとても楽しいです。
描かないのに変ですけど、とても参考になります。
ちょっとした例え話から描いた人物の絵もラフで終わらさずちゃんとペン入れまでするの尊敬します
シンプルな線画だけで、もう完璧に浦沢先生の絵なのが凄いです。
I like to think Kasuga is really a secondary protagonist rather than a side character. He and Asa are a team and are interconnected and share a very special connection.
Urasawa is a master in character design!
Every single character is so unique. I love it how he can draw kid versions of his characters and how you can still recognize them as that one character!
His art style is very clear and I would say simple but also brilliant!
Barely no other mangaka can draw mimics and emotions at such a god level like urasawa.

Urasawa-sensei is unrivaled in his ability to introduce and develop realistic, endearing side characters. My favorite side character has got to be Martin Reest from Monster - he's so cool and honorable. Thanks for another engaging video, and please keep up the good work!!

Martin still simped in the end, there are so many that it's hard to have a favourite, shogun (Otcho), North 2; agent Smith, Kurusu, etc etc

こうした絵に込められた哲学性精神性というものは、昨今話題のAI生成画像(絵というのもおこがましいので絵とは呼ばない)が何年経とうと到達し得ない境地だと思います。やはり人の手が描き出すものだからこそ尊い、そして価値がある。

恥ずかしいことに先生の言葉でたまに聞いたこと無い日本語を聞くので（今回はかくしゃく）改めて言葉を生業にしてる人は凄いなと感じてます。（自分が勉強不足なんですが）
技術を観察させてもらえるのだけでも楽しいのに、モノ作りする上での大切なものを色々共有して頂いてて本当楽しく勉強させてもらってます。ありがとうございます。

I like the way you draw, sensei. It's simply but full of life to each character.
True to say, side characters are the most important for a story to work. The whole world feels alive. Secondary characters have the same importance as the main characters. Urasawa sensei is truly a master creating characters.
I always love to watch Manben introducing some talented manga artist and showing their techniques. I enjoy watching Urasawa-sensei's drawing.

Me habría gustado que publicaran un 10º volumen (como en España) en el que se reunieran los cuentos cortos incluidos en la obra.

I didn't know you were involved with Astro Boy, Urasawa Sensei. Astro Boy was one of the very first Japanese cartoons I saw as a kid. Thank you for making videos, I've really enjoyed the Manben series!
He is referencing to the manga "PLUTO", which stars Atom (aka Tetsuwan Atom, aka Astro Boy). It's his own story and art, based on Tezuka's manga.

I've been writing/drawing my debut graphic novel for a few years now and every I've watched every Urasawa video countless times. He is a master of his craft and I want to be 5% as good as he is. I am on page 212 of 218 and I am almost done. I won't have all the awards this man has (and he deserves way more than he has for his genius) but we will have something in common in the next 3 months. We will both have written and drawn our own story. Of course, he has done it many many times and the stories are world class, but still. We will both be the same in that one regard and that's as close to the sun as I think I'll be able to fly.

@@psitaccus it's called You Can't Kill the Monster and it opens with a samurai in a forest of white birch trees being attacked by a hulking and mysterious monster. This just lays the ground work for what I hope will be something people like but I can't say more! The secrets to the story are it's strength. Like a magic trick, the second you know how the trick is done, it loses its mystery and it's magic. I keep the mystery for as long as I can to keep people engaged until the reveal which will hopefully be impactful for them. Keep your eye out for it next year!
Im also a comic artist working on my debut graphic novel (still in writing phase though, life is a bitch these days but hopefully I get to progress with it a bit more after exam period ends!) and I wish I could talk with you about comics (manga, graphic novels also), art of creating one, and Naoki sensei's work!

My book is actually finally printed! I've held it. I've read it cover to cover many times. It's a dream come true. I haven't begun selling it online yet, I have been selling it in the coffee shop I work at. Sold over 70 copies so far! I'm using this time to build capital to print enough to go online. I'd love to talk to you about comics!

I always like to use the term "supporting character" for those not of the main cast. Side does seem dismiss somewhat, while support more clarifies their actual role in the story for the main character(s).
