Thank you mates for this most unique music. I really love it! Thanks Tank for checking it out! In my opinion Raining Stars is the track with the most unique aspects that shows the class of Chris as a composer! Greetz from Germany Nick
Thank YOU guys for the awesome introduction to your music. Cannot wait to hear more! And thank you so much for taking the time to stop by the live premiere and comment!
You have to check out "Priest", "Loreley" and my favorite "under the sun" from them. Lord of the Lost is a really good band and they have classical music as well, called Swan Songs. And these guys are so nice in real life. After a concert they spoke ~2h with their fans to make some photos etc.
Im so happy you actually did that song! I enjoyed it a lot. Btw, according to Chris Harms, the Bohemian Rhapsody reference was absolutely intended^^ I would recommend Raining Stars or In Silence from them to check out next, both are really amazing.
"Raining Stars" is a good one too. 😁 Many songs from this band are great. I think it's difficult to push Lotl into a certain metal genre because they have something from everyone. Thanks Tank, your reactions make my morning again. When there will be festivals again, we should start a kickstarter to get you over the big puddle and get all the German metal bands live at once :-D
i recommend "Drag me to hell" or "Under the sun" for some equipment shots. im looking forward to seeing you check out more from this band. like other commenters have mentioned its hard to classify the different songs and albums because they do so much and are diverse. a very visual and dramatic band for sure. ive enjoyed them for years. i had the pleasure of finding them on a random spotify playlist

Not only was I listening to “Inis Mona” earlier today, but also talked to Chrigel for a while on Instagram earlier. He’s a huge inspiration to me both with music and life.
God I love lord of the lost. The lyrics and music they write get deep and I found them at a low point. In silence in one of their most relatable songs for me
It was about time you did a reaction to LOTL and I think you gonna love all of their stuff. A very unique voice, lots of humor but most important only damn good songs and also vids.
It means everything that you did this. I’ve wanted to see you react to LOTL for a long time. They’re criminally unrecognized. Next , check out the Love of God. It’s a faster song and you get more of Chris’ harsh vocals and the video is fantastic.
I found that when covid hit, LOTL tackled TH-cam like a full time job. I have seen other bands commenting of things, but LOTL release loads of videos during the past year and a half. They took their old songs and released them again in a fun "Lockdown" version. th-cam.com/video/RPmpnpsKcbk/w-d-xo.html . They also did a Christmas 'advent calendar' where he and the keyboard player released one song every day for a few weeks. They commented and interacted with the fans. Someone in that band has a great business sense. They kept their fans interested and engaged better than anyone else I have seen here. Brilliant.
If You want to see gear You should check out "Priest", the predecessor single to this. But that video could be a sequel to this - a little bit confusing.
Sweet! 🖤🖤🖤 They released Priest about a month ago and the videos tie in together. The lead singer Chris Harms is a classically trained cellist since age 5, has had no vocal training whatsoever. Also, the end of this video is an homage to Queen Bohemian Rhapsody Annnnnd, there is a drum and a guitar playthrough if you want to check them out. One last thing lol the choir part was only 5 people layered up to create that sound
Yes, Priest would be cool to check out because you see at least some of the gear. Also, since yesterday there's also a bass playthrough out as well and dang, that bass is vicious.
Nice reaction, man! You’ve earned a new subscriber. Yes, Lord of the Lost are heavily involved in their fan community! Be it Q&A-sessions on social media, polls on which songs should definitely be put on the new set list for when they tour, or the annual fanclub meeting with the band. I’ve been following the band for several years now and they are not only extremely talented and hardworking musicians, but also very kind, humble, and respectful human beings. (Their keyboarder is also part of another band, Scarlet Dorn, together with three members of their studio- and live crew. This band played at M’era Luna festival in 2019 and LotL accompanied them that day just to assist their crew members. That to me says a lot about what kind of people they are.)
I've been discovering Lord of the Lost the last week or so, so they're new to me as well and have really been enjoying what I've heard. I actually came across their music through a band called Oomph, and their lead vocalist (Dero) has another project in partnership with Chris from Lord of the Lost (Die Kreatur). Not sure if you've done any reactions to either of them before but I can't recommend them enough! I actually first came across your channel with your Sabaton reactions, I think Bismark was the first one that I saw. I love your feedback on the videos, especially on what is involved in the stage setups and particulars on instruments. For Die Kreatur, my favorite so far is "Kalter Als Der Tod". Oomph has a new one as well, "Tausend mann und ein Befehl" and "Tramst Du" is also very good! I would love to see your reactions to Oomph and Die Kreatur! Keep up the great content, and it's always good to see the artists involved with the community!
Minus the grey and blue filters I felt I sort of was like watching a music video for the 2011 movie called Priest, love the vid, love the orchestral goth sound, all awesome.
Rather interesting compairson you made there, HIM's my fav band not heard the 2 likened to aach other before. But yeah this new album is just great x3 Even the mention of Birthday Massacre interesting choices for comparisons.
It’s all just frame of reference. And especially since it’s just based off of 1 song, that opinion would most likely change when I started hearing a lot more of their material.
@@TankTheTech That's fair. I can see it a bit with this song even still, it's more interesting in that a lot of folks don't compare them to them at all even when the darker tones are very similar. It's if it were a bit refreshing since it's nice to not see the same basis used over and over.
Another piece of art is "RAINING STARS" from these guys. If you want to check it out try the official video feat. FORMALIN. By the way if you check it out get yourself really good quality headphones because there are tones in that song which not every stuff is able to solve in a clear way. If your headphones (or speakers) are high quality you will be impressed, guaranteed!!!! Really like your mindset, knowledge and of course your channel!!!! Respect from germany, keep it up...........
Lord of the Lost are sooo versatile. They do different genres with many many influences from other bands, settings, history, etc. Their music videos are always high production value and look amazing. I don't think there's a single bad song really. I'd recommend checking out Morgana, Voodoo Doll, On This Rock I will built my church and Loreley
Dude I just heard a song from these guys and oh my gosh there's so cool I love their sound I normally listen to a lot of chaotic deathcore but this is f****** awesome
I had no idea of the thematic influence or subgenres present in this one, but gothic definitely seems to fit. I was just as surprised as you were when I watched it as it popped up in my recommended. Very impressive song and video. Not sure that the band is for me, but I dig this song in particular. - Jamie
Definitely check the Kardovox reaction with Chris if you haven't. It's a great dive into the process of the album and video. Yes, that is a Bohemian Rhapsody call-out...
So nice to see, how much you liked it! I love this band too, although there are quite more disturbing videos of them ("beyond beautiful" for instance😃😃😃 ) but they are so creative and damn good musicians. And their songs really can haunt you 🙌
Thanks for doing this one! One of my current favourites, glad you liked it! I very much enjoyed "Priest", and after the release of this one, my preorder for the Mediabook went out. I'll buy the lossless downloads from Bandcamp, too, I guess, just to support the band 🤘
There would be Forevermore. The video for the song is taken from the documentary they made during the recording of Thornstar, so there's a lot of gear in that one. :D (and the documentary is really interesting and they explain tons of things!!)
I would recommend to check out Black Halo, not one of the most popular ones, but a true piece of art with one of the most beautiful choruses they have written 😍
Followed these guys for a while. In the UK they played 200 cap shows for the last album cycle. I really hope this new album gives them the platform to grow. They really deserve every success in the world. Chris is an absolute gentleman too, genuinely a lovely guy.
The first time I heard of this band was because of a colab for Children of the Dark by MONO INC. There are two other singers in that colab with their own groups, Joachim Witt, and Tilo Wolff. If you haven't heard anything my MONO INC yet then that song may be a good place to start.
Another great Video. Cyan guitars is a custom guitar builder from Hamburg germany. They put up playthrough videos for this song on the Napalm channel, where you can see some of the gear involved 😁. I got hooked back then with the Thornstar Album. Most songs from that Album have cool music videos where they have their gear with them
This song and "Death of All Colours" are my favourites so far. Priest is good too, but the other two are just barely ahead. Cant wait for the album. EDIT/ADDITION: Can we get Chris Harms on this channel for an interview? He was on Kardavox with him reacting to this song
I'm here again in case you haven't found these videos already (since I'm binge watching them LOL): you can find gear explained in detail in TV OF THE LOST 320 (with Chris and Pi, guitars and computers), 318 (all the stuff Gared plays, keyboard, drums, guitars), Tobi (ex-drums) is in episode 328 and... I forgot where the bass is. If I find it, I'll get back to you. XD Here and there throughout the TV OF THE LOST episodes you'll also find videos about their Cyan guitars, though often they are only in German. I hope it's useful :)
I really like this group with its unique atmosphere. it reminds me a bit of sisters of mercy, more modern. They have a lot of great songs: prison (the live studio version with a old phone is really cool), six feet underground, dry the rain, ruins (one of my favorite), and many more.
I was lost on was happening in the track to increase the intensity at the chorus. I think I figured it out. They have the intensity up with harsh vocals, double-time drums, and the high choir. I think they switch to clean vocals, add depth with piano/organ in the back with a lot of reverb to help it sound full and clean, slow the drums, and the guitars just slide right down into a deeper register filling out the more bassy end. Absolutely outstanding work. The energy intensity gets a break from the harsh vocals, but the emotional intensity goes way up.
Hey, when you mentioned Vdiva: He has also a band and you could check them out too! "Hell Boulevard" - When i remember correct, he also directed all of their own music videos. Those reactions are addictive, next video is on the playlist! :D
I know what you mean by artist involvement in the community. Once I posted a comment on someone's Avatarium video and the artist thanked my in the comments. That was the highlight of my entire TH-cam experience,
Lord of the Lost is one of those rare bands that don't have a single bad song. Now as for gear, I would HIGHLY recommend Ruins, because most of the shots are of them playing.
Please note that Gared in the band can play soooo many instruments that I lose count! He’s incredibly talented! They are all! Chris can also play multiple instruments! So looking forward to this reaction!
Something different to check out would be the band Faun, and their song Odin live from their 2017 Midgard Tour. They're a German folk group that perform in all sorts of languages, like German (duh), Latin, Greek, and the Scandinavian languages. That song in particular features Einar Selvik, the singer for the Norwegian folk group Wardruna, and former drummer for Gorgoroth.
That last part is a Kanon, which is used a lot in german choral music and folk songs. You know, when they sing the same thing but sort of staggered, starting at different times. I don't really have the language repertoire in English when it comes to music. 😅
Uaaah thank you very much for LOTL reaction. I would recommend "Priest", "Ruins", from older songs definitely "On this rock i will build my church" , "Black Halo", "In Silence" and "Haythor" - i think those would be to your liking :D and of course "Raising Stars"
This band's music can be hit or miss. But when it hits you, it hits HARD. This happened for me with "Morgana", this song was stuck in my head for a month, and I was not even mad about it:) I HIGHLY recommend it. They also have some great ballads. The next one you should react to however is "Priest" for some gear and the music video which is also related to "For They Know Not What They Do".
I really like this song which is definitely one of the calmer and very melodic songs by them. They play very interesting custom made instruments by Cyan Guitars. Including the one with the LEDs.
Thinking of what you mentioned what style you like you definitely have to check out "On this rock, I will build my church". Much simpler song structure, but a banger. My personal all-time favorite is "Raining stars". Amazing video. I love the heavy electronic-industrial influence in this one. Of course, there are many other great songs such as "Loreley", "Morgana", "Under the sun" ... -- Another band you might dig if you are into industrial-influenced metal is ODDKO. Check out "Disobey" or "D4TM" - well, check out both *lol* -- And if you want to give yourself a treat of a rather unknown German band (singing in German) with an amazing female singer check out NULL POSITIV. "Turm der Angst", "Friss Dich auf", "Freiheit", "Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer" (calmer song). Their official videos usually have the English translation of the lyrics in the video and/or video description. Great reaction, as always. Love your videos, keep up the great work!
VD pictures is run by Matteo "VDiva" Fabiani, he has his own band called Hell Boulevard that is more on the Hardrock side i'd say. Before that, he was the singer of Lost Area and Lost Area and Lord of the Lost are both gothicy, playing on similar festivals and I am rather sure they were on tour together before. Lord of the Lost and Matteo knew each other and have been friends for quite a while, even before VD pictures existed. So naturally, ever since Matteo started VD pictures, they have been working together for their music videos! Lord of the lost are very involved with their community, they make tour vlogs all the time and are big supporters of the LGBT+ community. They also do classical stuff, those albums are called swan songs or swan symphonies, and they take part in gothic meets classic. In general i feel that they have a rather versatile/ever changing sound, the last album was almost a bit to poppy for my taste, while this albums is again just cheffs kiss. They started out with gothic rock, and have since become better and better and more industrial. My personal favorite album of theirs is Empyrean, more specifically the second part of the deluxe edition called "The final chapter of mankind". There are no music videos for it, but it's worth checking out sometime for sure (and if you do, listen to the songs in order, as they sorta morph into each other a little bit). They are incredibly nice people that, like i mentioned, get very involved, but not only with fans, but other bands as well. I often stumble across new songs from bands i sometimes don't even know and realize half way in that Chris is singing in it as well, they do many collaborations. They also have a friendly meme rivalry with Unzucht, another german band and also helped a new artist come to life. For their album empyrean they did a contest were people could send in lyrics for a love song, and the one they liked best they turned into a song. That song is "Black Oxide" and the one who wrote the lyrics and sings on the song together with Chris is Scarlet Dorn. While working with her, one or two of the band members i think and one of their crew members (that frequently shows up in their vlogs) basically joined forces and made a new small project band with her, and took Scarlet Dorn with them on tour. Really nice and supportive lads. I have known them for about 8 years now, and in the closer future I will have known and loved this band for half my life, since I'm rather young. They also dont take themselves hat seriously all the time, I recommend you check out la bomba sometime^^ it has a fun music video and performance shots were you might be able to catch some gear (tho they focus more on the whole band).
You need to go back and watch the video Priest which begins the story. The album is called Judas a 24 song concept album. They are my favorite band in the world today.
Wonderful that you're so open to new stuff, @Tank! =) Still pleading for: Parasite Inc. "Once And For All" - damn good melo-death from Germany, and you clearly see their instruments ;) Warbringer "Silhouettes" - best 2nd wave thrash out there! Vreid "Wild North West" - fantastic Norwegian landscapes and so cool band members! =)
Yes you did Lord of the Lost! One of the best bands for me. Chris Harms' voice gets me everytime! Check out "Under the sun" next, I love this song! But actually you could choose every song you like. You'll get a really cool song!
@TankTheTech if you liked Lord of the Lost you might want to check out ASP. They have a live video from Wacken: th-cam.com/video/0PMnfaQ1zF8/w-d-xo.html Their best songs for me are: Ich will brennen (42:15) Werben (32:30) Ich bin ein wahrer Satan (37:27) They are also from Germany
Thanx for reacting 😍👍🏻🤘🏻 You wanna see more gear-stuff... Than try "under the Sun" (it's a music Video, but also can be a live concert) or "Ruins" (there you can see the very special keytar Gared's playing) Side fact: Matteo from vdpictures is ä friend of LOTL and also a singer of "hell boulevard"
Hey Tank! If you like this song you really need to hear their song "Priest" ! It's also from the upcoming album! Can't wait for the new album. As I told you earlier there is much more German Pearls of music 😁🤘🏻
Greatness, thank you for this!
Thank you for some amazing music!
Thank you mates for this most unique music. I really love it!
Thanks Tank for checking it out! In my opinion Raining Stars is the track with the most unique aspects that shows the class of Chris as a composer!
Greetz from Germany
Nick
Tank, heart and pin this
Thank YOU guys for the awesome introduction to your music. Cannot wait to hear more! And thank you so much for taking the time to stop by the live premiere and comment!
Er vergleicht euch mit Him lol.
Super song
You have to check out "Priest", "Loreley" and my favorite "under the sun" from them. Lord of the Lost is a really good band and they have classical music as well, called Swan Songs.
And these guys are so nice in real life. After a concert they spoke ~2h with their fans to make some photos etc.
Also Black Halo and Voodoo Doll
And a if you wanna know how well Chris"the Lord" Harms can sing, check the Ballade:" Death of all Colours" out.
I was looking for this thread, thanks for recommendations, guys.
Great song suggestions 🤘 I’d also add “Raining Stars”, “Ruins” and “Morgana”.
You could check out soulbound a gernan Band, they brought out a new video " Devil".
Chris from Lord of the lost was the producer of it^^
Hell yeah! Please do 😁 they're just awesome!
Yeah, that will be awsome 🤘🖤
Devil😈
Oh, they are great. And really nice, too! Hope to see them live as soon as possible!
About production and gear, here you go, including english subs: th-cam.com/video/l7XxDvxt-l4/w-d-xo.html
This is so awesome! Dankeschön!
This album has been blowing me away for the last couple weeks since I came across them. ,🤘🤘
I would love to see your reaction to these guys live at Mera Luna performance of "On This Rock I Will Build My Church". 2018.
This band is such a phenomenon. All of their albums manage to have a different vibe and atmosphere, and i enjoy all of it.
I can recommend thier song "Morgana", it has killer chorus, combination of clean and harsh vocals and gear visible in the video to comment
Morgana was the first song of theirs that I heard and it got me into them hardcore. Recommend it as well!
@@allanonskid exactly the same over here
This!
Im so happy you actually did that song! I enjoyed it a lot. Btw, according to Chris Harms, the Bohemian Rhapsody reference was absolutely intended^^
I would recommend Raining Stars or In Silence from them to check out next, both are really amazing.
"Raining Stars" is a good one too. 😁 Many songs from this band are great.
I think it's difficult to push Lotl into a certain metal genre because they have something from everyone.
Above all, however, synthesizers are used. Extensive. They have also played with an orchestra.
You brought a lot of good information to the people for not having a lot of gear here. Well done.
It's great that you also looked at the credits. They are part of it.
Agreed. "Raining Stars" is one of my favorites.
Everything in that song is awesome, I especially love the music video.
I love "Raining stars", "Loreley", "Morgana", ... But since you also love Nanowar of Steel and Eskimo Callboy , you will REALLY love "LA BOMBA" ;-)
The probably only salsa metal song ever 🤘
I concur with these suggestions.
This is almost a gift. You're reacting to this you've name dropped The Birthday Massacre. Beard on legend.
🤘🤘🤘
The Birthday Massacre are incredible. Unfortunately I saw them only once live at M‘era Luna Festival.
Thanks Tank, your reactions make my morning again. When there will be festivals again, we should start a kickstarter to get you over the big puddle and get all the German metal bands live at once :-D
Found your channel because I LOVE Lord of the Lost. Watching you enjoy their video gave me goose bumps.
i recommend "Drag me to hell" or "Under the sun" for some equipment shots. im looking forward to seeing you check out more from this band. like other commenters have mentioned its hard to classify the different songs and albums because they do so much and are diverse. a very visual and dramatic band for sure. ive enjoyed them for years. i had the pleasure of finding them on a random spotify playlist
Yes!! :D this notification made my day perfect ^^
Thank you so much for this. One of my Favorite Bands.
I would like to see your reaction to "Raining Stars" or "Ruins".
Because of your reaction I became aware of this band and now I'm sucked in...
That’s awesome!
I'm so happy Germany won May, if only because you've been able to find Lord of the Lost. They are hugely talented! Huge online presence
Very excited for this! I had to hold off mowing the lawn when I saw the notification!
Thx a ton for your words about us! Means a lot!
🤘🤘🤘 Your work is fantastic!!!
Now THIS is a rabbit hole I look forward to seeing you experience. I have liked LotL for a few years, but since the pandemic started, I have REALLY gotten into them and would now put them in my top 10 (possibly top 5) bands. Great reaction!
Awesome review, glad to see you reviewing them, I cant wait to see you check out more from them, I would suggest "Priest" and "Ruins"
Thanks for this video! I really love this band and hope you do more reactions to them!
Loreley is a very popular song, and the video showcases their gear so it should be a good match for you, Tank.
Hi Tank, this is the first time ever I write a serious comment on youtube.
Your reaction videos are by far the best ones I've ever seen on this platform. Maybe it helps that the first clips I saw from you were reactions to bands I like myself. But how you are navigating trough a music video and how you talk about details of the bands, their performance and their instruments adds a very neat layer to experiencing the music and your joy in it, that I don't find on other videos. Often I feel reaction videos are targeted to drain some fame from the popular content they react to. You and your videos do not give me this feeling at any second in the clip at all. Thank you very much for entertaining me. :)
I don't feel entilted to ask for a reaction to a certain music title, but i'd like to give you some recommendations to what you could listen to, and would be happy about a comment hearing from you if I was right at one point or another.
I watched your videos reacting to german bands as I'm from Switzerland, and we are also speaking german (or at least something that would be called ugly dialect by our german brothers), that's another reason why I'm listening to a lot of german (based) music. While watching your videos I felt that you'd rather enjoy something 'harder' than what for example Lord of the Lost is producing.
Thus I had to look into your videos and was baffled to not find any Rammstein or Till Lindemann reaction. Maybe you are listening to them "off screen"?.
so, to make a little list :)
Rammstein
Rammstein - DEUTSCHLAND (here they produced what I would call the single best music video in humankinds existence)
Rammstein - Sonne (a bit more melodically)
Till Lindemann is the front singer of Rammstein producing songs in his (somewhat) solo project "Lindemann" (expect heavily explicit, but censored music videos)
Lindemann - Steh auf (oddly strange, but likeable music video featuring famous actor Peter Stormare)
Lindemann - Knebel (the most explicit video in his collection)
Lindemann - Home Sweet Home ( a bit more melodically, but still a massively strong sound)
Richard Kruspe is the lead guitarist of Rammstein, also doing his own stuff in his solo project "Emigrate", I only like few titles from him so this is more of a honourable mention
Emigrate - Rainbow (in contrast to what i wrote earlier, this isn't even as 'hard' as Lord of the Lost)
Emigrate - Let's Go (but just because Lindemann is singing here again)
Peter Tägtgren is a swedish (?) musician, and I'm only mentioning him because he was Lindemann's right hand in his solo project. Peter has diffrent projects, I don't know a lot of them.
Pain - Shut your Mouth
back to the germans. with your excourse to darker music you've awoken the gothic fan base. Because of this you earned yourself multiple ASP recommendations.
be warned, ASP is melodically proficient but doesn't produce many really hard songs. His songs are often more ballads (telling stories) than rock songs.
ASP - Ich will brennen
ASP - Ich bin ein wahrer Satan
These same guys should recommend you
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Auf und Nieder
Erdling - Supernova
Erdling - Blitz und Donner
Erdling - Mein Element
Mantus - The Heart of it All
Nachtgeschrei - An mein Ende
Nachtgeschrei - Herzschlag
Samsas Traum - Endstation.Eden
Stoneman - Mord ist Kunst
Krayenzeit - Blut von meinem Blut
Harpyie - Seemann, Ahoi
Harpyie - Dynamit
Heldmaschine - Weiter!
And if you are still reading and if you are thinking 'this bastard is f*ing nuts', I need to end with asking for a favor. If you won't listen to a single title on this list, do me a favor and at least give "Eluveitie" with their title "Inis Mona" a shot. They are an internationally famous swiss band playing folk metal, and you will not be disappointed by listening to this song.
best regards
Thank you so much for the kind words and for all of the recommendations. A lot of those I am familiar with, but some I am not. But Eluveitie is one of my absolute favorites. Oh, great! Something new to dive into. This is so nice.
God I love lord of the lost. The lyrics and music they write get deep and I found them at a low point. In silence in one of their most relatable songs for me
Great reaction video! I have also discovered this band recently and they have rapidly become one of my favorites!
Same. I heard Chris on a Colab and then fell down the rabbit hole. LOVE THEM
It was about time you did a reaction to LOTL and I think you gonna love all of their stuff.
🤘 Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!
What a perfect notification to start my day
Hi my friend! Nice reaction... Thx😘🤘
Everyone who downvoted this video clearly know not what they do
Yes yes yes! I love this guys. Have seen them live 4x!
Being in USA I FINALLY get a chance to see them this year
I found that when covid hit, LOTL tackled TH-cam like a full time job. Brilliant.
That was fun. Also sweet, that Chris was there.
Godammit, more music added to the playlist. Then again thats why I'm subscribed :). Thanks for being here introducing me (us) to new music.
This will be fun, not really into their other songs but this one is a keeper with cream and cherries on top
Also, the end of this video is an homage to Queen Bohemian Rhapsody
Annnnnd, there is a drum and a guitar playthrough if you want to check them out.
Thanks a ton!
Try Under the Sun from LotL. Not their most popular but my favorite.
We are united. nobody can divide it , wven by music
Kryolan! Nice that they even credit their make up. Same stuff I use. Love their f/x blood.
Really enjoyed that one, another band I have never heard but will look forward to discovering more of.
Love this band look for their live set at Mera Luna festival a few years ago
The Live concert with the Zielona Gora Symphony is one to check out
Another cool project is Die Kreatur with Chris Harms and Dero Goi from Oomph!
Watching them live today 🤘
Chris Harms is so passionate and lovely man. Also Class and Gerrit. The director of Vdpictures is a lead singer also.
Dude I just heard a song from these guys and oh my gosh there's so cool I love their sound I normally listen to a lot of chaotic deathcore but this is f****** awesome
Which song did you hear?
I had no idea of the thematic influence or subgenres present in this one, but gothic definitely seems to fit. I was just as surprised as you were when I watched it as it popped up in my recommended. Very impressive song and video. Not sure that the band is for me, but I dig this song in particular.
- Jamie
Definitely check the Kardovox reaction with Chris if you haven't. It's a great dive into the process of the album and video. Yes, that is a Bohemian Rhapsody call-out...
The did an entire series of Lockdown versions of their songs. Also, See you Soon is just incredible
Definitely one of those bands I've been wanting to see live 👍
From Germany also good stuff
Leaves Eyes. - Viking Female Fronted Rock
Atrocity,- Trash Heroes also involved in Leaves Eyes
Definitely got some Depeche Mode vibes. Also, I love how you referenced The Birthday Massacre. They're one of my guilty pleasures
Very cool sound....... I'd love to hear more
Please note that Gared in the band can play soooo many instruments that I lose count!
Morgana got me on to them too
Awesome! Thanks Max!
I really like this song which is definitely one of the calmer and very melodic songs by them.
They play very interesting custom made instruments by Cyan Guitars. Including the one with the LEDs.
I saw them live. They are the best. I don't love all of their songs. But they have so many that i can love or hate.
Check out their song/video for “dry the rain” if you want to hear a LOTL song that sounds similar to HIM :)
Kardavox on point man! Great comment!
--
Another band you might dig if you are into industrial-influenced metal is ODDKO. Check out "Disobey" or "D4TM" - well, check out both *lol*
--
And if you want to give yourself a treat of a rather unknown German band (singing in German) with an amazing female singer check out NULL POSITIV.
Still pleading for:
Parasite Inc. "Once And For All" - damn good melo-death from Germany, and you clearly see their instruments ;)
Warbringer "Silhouettes" - best 2nd wave thrash out there!
Great video as usual. Unless you've done it already you might want to check Nachblut - Lied für die Götter.
Neverland in ashes is also a very cool band u could check out! An amazing song is miles & miles, which features ghostkid aka sushi
Another great song by them is "Morgana". Also still hoping youll check out Ordan Ogans "F.E.V.E.R" soon.
@TankTheTech if you liked Lord of the Lost you might want to check out ASP. They have a live video from Wacken: th-cam.com/video/0PMnfaQ1zF8/w-d-xo.html
Their best songs for me are:
Ich will brennen (42:15)
Werben (32:30)
Ich bin ein wahrer Satan (37:27)
They are also from Germany
ASP are awesome as well. For sure!
Especially live. Saw and shot them several times.
Thanx for reacting 😍👍🏻🤘🏻
You wanna see more gear-stuff... Than try "under the Sun" (it's a music Video, but also can be a live concert) or "Ruins" (there you can see the very special keytar Gared's playing)
Side fact: Matteo from vdpictures is ä friend of LOTL and also a singer of "hell boulevard"
i agree
Huh. Didn't know Cenobite Posh was a thing but I'm digging it.
Hey Tank! If you like this song you really need to hear their song "Priest" ! It's also from the upcoming album! Can't wait for the new album.
As I told you earlier there is much more German Pearls of music 😁🤘🏻
