The Diefenbunker is a 100,000 sq. ft. underground bunker, a museum, and a national historic site. Built to protect the government from nuclear attack, this once-secret bunker preserves and promotes Canada's Cold War history.

This is an outstanding museum and wonderful tribute to those who served in Canada's Armed Forces. Well worth a visit to Carp Ontario to check it out.

It should be restored and returned to full operation. It was foolish to shut it down.

It was foolish to think you could go into a bunker for a month and return to the surface to carry on.

It was foolish to shut down all of the diefenbunkers. DB Shilo was demolished and is now used as a training mound.

This bunker must be restored to its original functioning bunker for military and Government officials., Look what is happening around the World esp. in Ukraine They have to stockpile important survival items here. It is better to be ready than to be late.

There's probably a modern bunker built & equipped, ready to go. It's just not open to or known by the public.

Exactly, it should be restored to full operation. It was foolish to shut it down.

@@User2718218 pointless as any newer weapon would be more destructive and this facility would be useless to date .

@@alpearson9158 Having a bunker for the seat of government is not pointless. It can withstand a certain destructive impact, exactly what that is I am not sure.
