A tip for your clamps, rub some paste wax into them, stops glue sticking to them and it also stops them leaving black marks on the wood when the glue does get onto them. Saves so much time and makes life easier. Also if you would like to get in better shape (not that you need it) I can recommend a 20min home workout for you. I have done this every night for 2 months and went from a 34 trouser to a 30. (Still eating the same amount of junk) I now have some muscle definition on my stomach, that's a first in 47 years lol. Keep up the good work. Love the videos.
Hey Derek, sure send me an email at sammy@toguchifurniture.com I'd love to hear about it. The only time i have definition there is when I draw them on with a sharpie! haha. But, congrats on your size 30. I can't remember when I was a 30! I finished that bench in August but with everything that was going on I was just now able to finish the video. But, I GAINED some weight between then! haha. But, after 12 months my daughter is finally sleeping through the night which is helping me out and now I have the energy to workout again.
And, I know you won't believe me but I do add paste wax on my clamps BUT that was when I bought them years ago so now I have to clean them up but I'll try and do a better job at upkeeping them! But, I didn't know about the black marks so thanks for that!!!
Glad I found your channel as I'm making a walnut table right now! For glue squeeze out, one tip I saw which I find invaluable is to rub some mineral spirits on the wood and this should reveal any glue that you have missed which you can then get rid of. The spirits also give you nice preview of what the wood will look like once you put an oil based finish on it. .
Oh nice! Thanks for that tip! I forget how useful mineral spirits can be! I’ll remember that for next time. Also, If I remember I might try painters tape at the joints then removing it once I clear off all the glue. Anyway, thanks again for that tip! And thanks for watching and writing! Good luck on your table!!!

Blair at 15:05 was awesome. Uh, yeah, the bench is really nice too.
Thanks Dan! I heard her talking with that accent and I was like yup! I know how to put you in my video 🤣 thanks for watching and writing!
Looking good sir!
Thanks man! I was done with this back in November 😅 but everything put my build plans on hold until now haha.
Nobody loves us like our mothers, skinny 😉
Haha true. But growing up with an Asian mom she’ll call you fat then tell you that you need to eat more 🤣
