I absolutely love this band, music to appreciate rather than rock out to. With every new album they get better and I recommend to all who haven't heard any of their music to get involved!
And to think, they’ve released 2 & 1/2 more albums since you wrote this, with another one on the way. On top of that, 2 album releases by Martin Courtney. I too love this band and got my son into them. Hoping they announce some summer tour dates.
The big sunflowers were mine and my friend's doing. They weren't supposed to hit the crash cymbal. Just wanted to give these chill guys some chill plants. I gave the third to Julian Koster of Neutral Milk Hotel.
Their best performance I recon. The band has longevity. such a nice fix to be able to go back to this band n get some sort of spiritual nourishment lol
I found these guys earlier this year in February and they have become one of my all time favorite bands. i wanted to see them in Portland, Oregon back in August because I was planning a trip up there anyways. Unfortunately, the show was 21 and over so I couldn't go. I was bummed. I definitely gotta see these guys live though.
Heard "Green Aisles" on SiriusXM while driving to work one morning so I looked them up and man what a find, these guys are absolutely brilliant....a nice change of pace to what I've been listening to lately.
I love that too! It's refreshing and I think oddly charming, and a welcome change from the "HELLOOOOO EVERYONE (and while we're at it here's the contents of the inside of my head)" type-shtick lead singers are expected to condescend to an audience with
Réal Estate . du plaisir seul ou entre Amis (es) . Un coucher de soleil , son reflet sur la mer , un feu de bois , quelques boissons le tout avec Pizza. S'écoute très bien au volant de votre voiture , comme ici sur la côte Basque.
Just like all great bands, Bruce Hornsby is the ultimate underrated champion of all time! When you think about it it’s the best way,we get them all to ourselves 😁!
Out of Tune is kind of what Eric Clapton during Cream could have done if him and Jim Henson made a musical of it......pure 70's carefree vibe modernized in the best way....maybe I just think of of Clapton because of "you're all attitude"... ;)
They really slowed down their songs live. And matt was playing the intro to out of tune, literally out of tune! (Kidding. In tune, but he seemed pretty sharp from what he had to play!)
You're right! And there was some hilarious funny looks he got from his bandmates for it, Martin shot him a quizzical look then Bleeker laughed. And then when Martin came in with his vocal, he sang an out-of-tune note too! A sweet and ironic moment from an otherwise pretty flawless band
Haven’t been with these guys long, but based on the appearances and interviews I’ve seen, he’s definitely more comfortable talking in general than the frontman. I’ve seen the frontman defer to him for answers to interview questions, think the guy just isn’t much of a talker.
Looking for something in particular?

If you like these guys, you may like my band: Holodais. We have 3 songs for free posted on our channel!
This band is criminally underrated.
Ahaha you right
hard facts.
they are terrible
I didn't realise that 1 million monthly listeners on spotify qualified as underrated
@@nickbishop1933 Compared to how many people listen to Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Ariana Grande, etc. that number is still quite low.
Underrated bass player. Great band. Love their guitar tones and melodies.
great bass player! I think Matt was a really nice guitarist too

Great band. A guitar player's band. Marr-like melodies.
You mean Johnny Marr?
@@romitsen3405 Wasn't it obvious? What other Marr you know who got famous playing exciting melodic guitar?
This is so Pitchfork
if I were a surfer i'd definitely think of real estate while surfing
These guys were/are amazing live! Not many acts are this true to their recordings!
30:05 the best part of the whole set
I was busy with something else...
Saw this on my Recommended...
Said i'd watch a few songs...
Ended up watching the whole video. Totally worth it!
The big sunflowers were mine and my friend's doing. They weren't supposed to hit the crash cymbal. Just wanted to give these chill guys some chill plants. I gave the third to Julian Koster of Neutral Milk Hotel.
I'm sure they're sick of playing it, but seriously, no Green Aisles?
First of: great upload, excellent quallity.
Second: Good dynamics, pure vocals and drifts you in chillmode..... We need more of this!!!!!
14:20 is my favorite song Crime from the new album
Their best performance I recon.
The band has longevity. such a nice fix to be able to go back to this band n get some sort of spiritual nourishment lol
One of my all time favorite bands right here.
I don't know why, but 18:19 is funny as hell. White nerdy dude jazz vibes.
seeing them play live is on my bucket list. i genuinely and seriously hope that comes true one day soon.
Kaylee saw them last month in chicago. 10/10 amazing. vibes for days.
Did it?
I became addicted to them after seeing them open for Wilco at Solid Sound in North Adams, MA in 2015. Great band. I love the last three albums.
Matt is a great guitarist
Great stuff. Reminds me of old Byrds guitar work. So cool BJ Blues beach tunes.

You’re 21 now kid
@@strokemcfolks8040 Yup! Ended up seeing them in 2017!
Wow. Great band. New discovery.

sound quality is great, much thanks.
I love them,they're so chill
Had to hear’s intro gave goosebumps
It's like Thurston Moore singing on tune!
they nailed the vocal harmonies here
This band's taste in guitar sounds is impeccable.
Love this band and this performance
I love how awkward the lead singer is at talking to crowds
I love that too! It's refreshing and I think oddly charming, and a welcome change from the "HELLOOOOO EVERYONE (and while we're at it here's the contents of the inside of my head)" type-shtick lead singers are expected to condescend to an audience with
the way he talks is like michael cera's character in movies
I'm surprised they didn't perform beach comber
That and Green Aisles
Had to hear - love everything about this song
These summer vibes are keeping me warm in the mid-Atlantic today!
Been watching this everyday for the past month
Love love love these guys. Can’t wait to see them live some day.
This is my favorite band, can't wait till I see them in October!!
Atlas is such a beautiful album.
Love this band, but I love more Ducktails.
They play those Just like in cd, pure talented
Style of this band is unique..
There's some Smiths-meets-Vampire-Weekend vibes.
The genre is called jangle pop. One of my favorites
Real Estate is the musical form of drinking some hot chocolate on a crisp fall night.
cant wait to see you guys in Fauna
Outstanding performance, fantastic band
Kinder Blumen was freaking awesome! Matt's melody maker sounds better than the jazzmaster for this song live!
Out of Tune (40:03) is even more interesting than Fleetwood Mac's Dreams. It is that similar, but superior bass line.
SUPER BANDA ..SALUDOS DESDE PERU...
felix martinez un hombre con clase

12:38 slaps.
Bass player lost a ton of weight!
+Jake Hostetler Yeah, he looked better with the weight; it suited the jolly fat bald bassist stereotype.
ME HAN GUSTADO SUS TRES ALBUMES
Awesome sound... I wish I was there!
Cascading melodies. I love real estate.
simply superb
Sun Kil Moon and Slowdive's full sets please?

And, also, he's a piece of garbage

19:24 A little Mac Demarco action
??
how the guitar was played sounds like how mac plays sometimes
GREAT CONCERT
The guy in the audience with the Dead Kennedys shirt is definitely in the right place
Is this just reverb? Does anyone know what guitar effect/pedal soloist using here: 12:22
Sounds like a phaser pedal with a delay/reverb
Such a nice take on "Kinder Blumen" ...
that drummer's ride cymbal sounds really good. anyone know what it is? zildjian.... something...
i love real state
When you discover @54 a great band !
Should have a tour in brazil with real estate and alvvays
That lead singer is unbelievably sweet.
Come to Denmark guys...
whoa alex bleeker on the weight loss tip
pure magic!
Is there an MP3 version of this yet?
It's so depressing how still the crowd is.
+Michael Lawrence Not still in their minds bro. The crowd actually looks quite mesmerised. This isn't a band you'd rock out to.
+Michael Lawrence Crowd looks quite into it IMHO. I certainly rocked out a bit more when I saw them at Roo though, different crowd than Pitchfork.
GRAN GRUPO
"Hey Kurt Cobain can you drum for this indie band please?"
more like a member of Hanson
Los conoci por el tema its real. Como deleita cautiva el sonido de guitarra.
3:46 gustavo cerati
Un aire tiene pero no sé bien que tema
Si señor... tratame suavemente ... en version en vivo solo faltaria la mandolina y ya
Only discovered last week by the way!

+Ryan Bunney Gibson melody maker
A vintage Gibson Melody Maker
Ha! They covered The Nerves !
Out of Tune is kind of what Eric Clapton during Cream could have done if him and Jim Henson made a musical of it......pure 70's carefree vibe modernized in the best way....maybe I just think of of Clapton because of "you're all attitude"... ;)

where is the primitive? :(
bassist should just make his own band if he wants to be Mr. Frontman so bad. Chill and let the lead singer conduct the music and channel the audience.
Haven’t been with these guys long, but based on the appearances and interviews I’ve seen, he’s definitely more comfortable talking in general than the frontman. I’ve seen the frontman defer to him for answers to interview questions, think the guy just isn’t much of a talker.
What Epiphone is he using?
its a gibson melody maker, with a 50's classic series strat
Thanks
big, big love for this band. But i will say, being their drummer would bore me.
Sudently the lead singer of the band becomes hot...not expecting. Like the music.
The Nerves!!!! If you don't know your shit..
These guys really like phase
