strange game for me ....this is just confined to a tiny part of the world looks like . I play as a Three in pennant bowls and can't imagine playing this. I guess these blokes though might adapt easier in our game .
You may know all this, excuse me, if you do .. :-) ... Yes, just in the North of England (mostly Lancashire and Yorkshire) .. yeah, 'another place' entirely. Actually not that many crown green bowlers have come into our game .. most recent well know would be Mark Dawes, who has won the Potter's World Indoor Singles - great draw bowler, btw. Have a chat with Jimmy Whitehead, he does the BVTV, Bowls Victoria, he's a Crown Green bowler from the olde country. In another part of England we/they play Federation Bowls .. only 2 bowls, no touchers and no bowl outside of 2 yards counts .. it's an old variant too. From the sunny South Coast, England .. :-)
